The problem, however, isn't the total of €5.40, but how it arrived at that point. On the preliminary bill I received at the table, the "service" or "cover charge" item doesn't exist: the prices were simply increased to the amounts indicated in the previous review. Generally, customers should be informed of what they're paying, but instead I learned this after the fact thanks to my review. Furthermore, I must have forgotten to collect the actual receipt at the cashier when closing the bill (I assume it was an oversight on my part) so I could check the actual divisions of the amounts. Obviously, I won't even consider returning as your guest. My review isn't about getting free gifts or favors, but rather to express my disappointment with what happened. But let me point out a small contradiction: if your calculations are so accurate and you believe you've calculated the correct total, why feel the need to contact the customer privately to offer them a free breakfast? ------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: Just left the bar for breakfast. A coffee, an iced coffee, and a croissant split in two, for a total of €5.40. Price breakdown: - coffee €1.70 - iced coffee €2.20 - croissant €1.50 I don't know if the owners understand that they're not in Piazza San Marco in Venice, but in Bari Poggiofranco. As for me, I won't set foot in there again, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

10/05/2026: A very nice place in the historic center of Gioia. The staff was really friendly, both in welcoming us and in offering recommendations. We chose two different platters, which were generous, and both tigelle and gnocchi fritti were plentiful. They also offer five different sauces. Everything was really good!

09/04/2026: We went to Cabó and had a truly positive experience. The cured meats were delicious and fresh, of excellent quality, and the tigelle were simply wonderful, soft and flavorful, perfect with the cured meats. You can taste the attention to the ingredients and the passion in carefully preparing everything. The only small flaw is the price, slightly higher than we expected, but overall, it's a place I absolutely recommend.

Excellent squid, perfectly tender, served on a pepper purée. Excellent local lobster, with a choice of pasta (we had paccheri). The sauce was very well-balanced. The wine list was adequate, nothing more. Fortunately, the sommelier offered good advice. We ordered a wine from Campania: Falanghina 2024, Via del Campo from Quintedecimo, mineral, fresh, and quite complex.

20/01/2026: Jamanté is a luxury high class food restaurant at the edge of Polignano a Mare . Very good choices of wine and fine dining menu. Different from the many classical Italian restaurants in Puglia
