22/07/2026: UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: I'm increasing the stars because I recognize that 1 star was an excessive penalty, and I apologize. The problem, however, isn't the total of €5.40, but how it arrived at that point. On the preliminary bill I received at the table, the "service" or "cover charge" item doesn't exist: the prices were simply increased to the amounts indicated in the previous review. Generally, customers should be informed of what they're paying, but instead I learned this after the fact thanks to my review. Furthermore, I must have forgotten to collect the actual receipt at the cashier when closing the bill (I assume it was an oversight on my part) so I could check the actual divisions of the amounts. Obviously, I won't even consider returning as your guest. My review isn't about getting free gifts or favors, but rather to express my disappointment with what happened. But let me point out a small contradiction: if your calculations are so accurate and you believe you've calculated the correct total, why feel the need to contact the customer privately to offer them a free breakfast? ------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: Just left the bar for breakfast. A coffee, an iced coffee, and a croissant split in two, for a total of €5.40. Price breakdown: - coffee €1.70 - iced coffee €2.20 - croissant €1.50 I don't know if the owners understand that they're not in Piazza San Marco in Venice, but in Bari Poggiofranco. As for me, I won't set foot in there again, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

02/05/2025: An unusually cozy restaurant. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Had a perfectly fried tuna with sesame seeds. Also a lovely Primitivo wine. Can highly recommend the place.

25/04/2025: We stopped here for a glass of wine. Two mediocre glasses, a few olives, and tarallini: €16. The wine was served without even seeing the bottle. The name "wine bar" is all there is to it. It seems a bit overpriced for what's on offer. The atmosphere is chaotic, full of random objects; there's no real identity.

05/07/2026: As a tourist who already visited Italy more than 10 times, I can say that this place is amazing. The hotel staff in Bari recommended me this place and I’m so grateful :)

27/06/2026: I went to the Pizzeria Picnic from the reviews. I was expecting a great pizzeria. The pizzas were good, just a few mistakes in the order, but the drinks were expensive, 5 euros for a large beer. Then the waiter asked us if we wanted appetizers in the center and so he brought us 4 plates of ham and buffalo mozzarella, not even full, literally. 4 mozzarellas and 5 slices of ham, we paid 100 euros. After this, I don't think I'll set foot there again. I'm truly shocked.

09/05/2026: Delicious pizza, one of the best I've ever eaten. My favorite is the Grimaldi with burrata from the Bitritto dairy: truly spectacular, with quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors. It's a shame about the service, which is very slow, and the lack of punctuality in managing reservations: you often have to wait a long time to be seated. With better organization, it would be a practically perfect place.

07/07/2026: A very nice restaurant with lots of small shaded terraces, the eggplants (which were only an appetizer but in a good quantity) were delicious!

07/07/2026: Unpleasant, slow, haughty, and mocking service (especially if you don't speak Italian). Bland and simplistic salmon salad, overpriced for what it was. Overcooked rabbit. A very bad experience.

09/04/2026: We spent Easter Monday for lunch. Excellent food with a set menu. Traditional food with a view of the ravine. Attentive and friendly staff. The only downside... it was very hot... maybe I would have turned on the air conditioning.

07/03/2026: An excellent experience at Il Vecchio Crapo pizzeria in Gravina in Puglia. The pizza is truly delicious: light, well-leavened dough, and quality ingredients that you can taste from the first bite. The menu offers a variety of choices, and everything is carefully prepared. The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, perfect for both a quiet dinner and an evening with friends. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the service, making us feel welcome. You can sense their attention to the quality and tradition of Apulian pizza. Definitely a place to return to when in Gravina in Puglia. Recommended!

12/06/2026: The octopus sandwich was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a great place for a lunch break, as there's a place to sit and a clean bathroom.

12/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ On a beautiful sunny morning in Altamura, we stopped at this historic bakery for brunch, and the experience was truly excellent. We had the opportunity to sample several traditional local specialties: from fragrant friselle drizzled with excellent olive oil, to authentic Altamura bread, to pizza and focaccia from Bari, all prepared with quality ingredients and with that authenticity that is evident from the first bite. The variety of products is remarkable, and every bite confirms the care and experience of those who work at this bakery every day. Another particularly appreciated aspect is the quality-price ratio, which is decidedly reasonable considering the excellence of the offerings. The staff was courteous, helpful, and quick in their service, helping to make our visit even more enjoyable. The option of sitting at the outdoor tables and enjoying these specialties in complete relaxation was also very pleasant. A stop absolutely worth a visit for anyone wishing to discover the authentic flavors of Altamura and Puglia's culinary traditions. Highly recommended.
