25/07/2026: We chose this because of the location, and the offer of traditional Piedmontese cuisine. The atmosphere was old fashioned and despite being a Saturday evening, the restaurant was very quiet. We chose the traditional and seafood menus. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it was quite heavy, and by the primo course we were already full. There was no lighness of touch in any of the dishes. So if you are looking for a very traditional approach, this restaurant may suit you. But other restaurants in Turin have developed lighter and more tasty dishes.

11/05/2026: A recently discovered gem in the heart of San Salvario. Superb Piedmontese and Ligurian cuisine, and generally Mediterranean. Exceptional and super-friendly staff (they saw we were there for a birthday and, without anyone saying anything, brought us pastries with a lit candle). Excellent food at a super fair price. Highly recommended. We paid €29 each for appetizers to share, five dishes (both first and second courses), and five desserts plus a quarter of red wine.

10/05/2026: For us, Il Sorriso is a family restaurant. The cuisine is always top-notch, featuring traditional dishes that no one makes anymore. The owners always make you feel at home. The only downside is that the prices have risen quite a bit, but they're still in line with restaurants of the same caliber.

20/07/2026: Last night, for the World Cup final, we ordered 11 pizzas and two portions of gnocco fritto. Despite the fact that it was undoubtedly a very busy evening, at 9:10 PM everything was ready, hot and steaming, just as promised. The pizzas were excellent, and the service was impeccable as usual. You are always courteous, professional, and organized. Kudos to Pietro and his entire staff; keep up the good work!

14/07/2026: A restaurant just steps from Porta Nuova station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Piedmontese specialties are good and the portions are generous. The price is average. The rating from 0 to 30 is 26.

13/07/2026: We had just arrived in Turin and popped in here for lunch. The menu offered a selection of local dishes which we thought were excellent. The Piedmontese platter was amazing, as was the pork loin and gnocchi, which were packed with flavour. The service was great and the staff were friendly and professional. Well worth dropping by on your visit to Turin!

24/07/2026: Delicious lunch. We weren't planning a full meal before our visit to the hunting lodge but the cafe opposite only seemed to do a buffet so we opted for this. Have to ring the doorbell for entry which is weird but ok. Nice ladies serving. Menu asks for a two course minimum order. Highly recommended.

24/06/2026: It would be a real shame to visit the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge and not enjoy an excellent lunch at this excellent restaurant just outside the main entrance, in the former stables, on the left side of Via Torino, facing the Palazzina. Let the staff recommend both food and wine. You won't regret it. The saffron tortelli with vermouth reduction and sautéed pine nuts, or the spectacular selection of cheeses, will put you back at peace with the world. The staff is definitely up to the high standard of this restaurant, almost a place from another era, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner at your leisure. Trust Monica and her colleague, who are extremely kind and friendly, and will be able to advise you on the best options because they understand their customers instantly. Then, if you really want to win the lottery, take home a bottle of Barbaresco grappa from the Levi distillery in Neive. If you spike your coffee with that, you won't even consider the price of this select grappa nectar: ​​it's worth every penny. They distill with the last direct-fire still left in Italy. Treat yourself.

02/05/2026: Four of us went for lunch, without reservations and without anyone's recommendation. It was a pleasant surprise. Everything was excellent and made with homemade ingredients. Simple but well-executed menu. Excellent service. Very pleasant location. Fair price. I'll be back.
