This place is very charming due to its small courtyard, where you can eat al fresco, nestled among the narrow streets of medieval Turin. The food is good and unusual (if there is anything unusual anymore), in that the variety of soups, salads, and savory pies, as well as pizza, make it "uncommon." There's no table service, but everything you need is there to make you feel comfortable. Suitable for a simple meal or a relaxing evening. Excellent value! Location: Very captivating setting, from romantic to traditional.

11/05/2026: A recently discovered gem in the heart of San Salvario. Superb Piedmontese and Ligurian cuisine, and generally Mediterranean. Exceptional and super-friendly staff (they saw we were there for a birthday and, without anyone saying anything, brought us pastries with a lit candle). Excellent food at a super fair price. Highly recommended. We paid €29 each for appetizers to share, five dishes (both first and second courses), and five desserts plus a quarter of red wine.

16/05/2026: We had lunch for my birthday, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The courses were each better than the last, both in terms of quality and innovation. The experience is surprising and fun. There's no wait staff; you're served directly by the chefs and sommelier, all young, kind, professional, and friendly. I had high expectations, and they were exceeded. We'll definitely be back!

The Piedmontese-style appetizers were delicious, the first courses were classic, like ravioli al plin, and the berry risotto was truly top-notch. The second course was pork medallions with a side of unique purple cabbage, and then, to finish, a tiramisu that was superb. We really appreciated the service of the waiters and the owner. 05/06/2026: We stayed here for 3 nights. Upon arrival, we were told that the restaurant would be closed for 2 days, but not the reason: a national holiday. However, it wasn't just the restaurant that was closed; the reception and bar were open as well. When we returned, we were sitting on the terrace with our own bottle of wine. On the first day, the kitchen was still open, and the dinner and wine were superb. There is a lot of renovation going on, but the garden looks very beautiful. The staff is friendly, if there is any at all.

10/05/2026: For us, Il Sorriso is a family restaurant. The cuisine is always top-notch, featuring traditional dishes that no one makes anymore. The owners always make you feel at home. The only downside is that the prices have risen quite a bit, but they're still in line with restaurants of the same caliber.
