24/06/2026: We went to this restaurant for dinner while vacationing in Cesana and wanted to explore it based on the reviews. Overall, we had a good time; the quality of the food was generally satisfactory. I'd recommend the zucchini gnocchi, which were truly special. I found the appetizer, a purple potato flan the size of a crème caramel, costing €11, to be overpriced. We found the portions to be very small for the price. That's why I'm not giving it a top rating.

24/06/2026: It's been three years since I've been back to the Cantina, and I've always eaten in other seasons, not in June. If the food were as good as it once was, with a careful, high-quality selection and table linens, the service would be a five-star establishment. Unfortunately, I ate tagliolini with chanterelles, which tasted decently, but was overpowered by butter and little smoke. The venison was woody and stringy, served in modest quantities with polenta that should have been all'onda, but was only passable and firm. The tagliolini base was very under-spiced, too delicate, just like the venison stew, which was under-spiced and barely seasoned. A real disappointment compared to three years ago. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was spotlessly clean. It's a shame about the food; it's touristy, so completely out of line with the price. Main courses were absolutely out of line. Small portions. A shame. To be able to eat properly, I'll have to keep visiting the Langhe.

06/08/2026: A good-quality trattoria with reasonable prices, generous portions, and above all well-prepared food. The owner is present but discreet, and the atmosphere is quiet, traditional, and pleasant. We'll return.

04/08/2026: It could be better, both in terms of the courtesy of the chef and the kind lady serving the tables, and in terms of the quality of the food. I honestly wouldn't recommend it.

09/08/2026: We agreed on a set menu, requested by management to facilitate service. The service turned out to be incredibly slow and inefficient; we had to order extra dishes to eat faster. We would have eaten better and spent less if everyone had ordered their own dish. But we decided to meet with management and make things easier for them. In the end, we spent €45 each, excluding starters, desserts, and coffee. It was crazy.

05/08/2026: Strategically located on the Sansicario slopes. Also an essential stop for one of the most beautiful walks from Sestriere. Bar and restaurant with a large lawn and deckchair rentals. An unmissable stop when escaping the heat of the city.

11/06/2026: Everything was quite good, but in my opinion a bit overpriced...too much for what we consumed. As is often the case, the service, rather than the drinks, is what impacts the final bill compared to the individual courses...3 euros per person for service...or 7 euros for a medium beer...etc.

01/04/2026: A refuge on the Claviere slopes, a beautiful and welcoming place, with same-day reservations available. After an international ski trip, it's a great place to rest and relax. The lunch was excellent, featuring dishes prepared more like a Michelin-starred restaurant than a refuge, without detracting from the rural essence of the meal. Service was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful, always smiling, even though we arrived a little late for our reserved table. Lunch was pleasant and well-received, with a good portion of food that was filling. I'll be back.

13/03/2026: A typically mountain atmosphere, very welcoming and softly lit. The interior features exposed brick vaults and solid wood furnishings with cloth tablecloths. The menu is limited, but all are delicious, beautifully plated, and beautifully crafted. The cheese and egg polenta is a true culinary masterpiece. The price is reasonable, but the quality of the ingredients makes it worthwhile.

03/04/2026: I’m only here to rate the hot chocolate! It’s the only reason I drop down into San Sicario when I’m in the Vialattea. It is quite literally the BEST hot chocolate on the mountain. It’s basically a dessert! Highly recommend.

22/03/2026: Unfortunately, I went twice, and both times they gave me a general receipt with no breakfast details and a CRAZY price. A coffee, a kids' foam, a croissant, and a donut: 10 euros. I hope they change their approach; more transparency is needed.
