20/01/2026: I had lunch here with my family for my 60th birthday in December 2025. I chose a set menu with two appetizers (tartare and Jerusalem artichoke flan), a first course (Castelmagno risotto with pears), a second course (grilled sliced ​​steak), and a choice of dessert. Everything was exceptional! Superb quality and presentation! One of the best lunches in recent years. And the price was definitely in line with the quality. Highly recommended!! The dining room is very pleasant and well-kept; among other things, there's a unique view of the hills and the Alps in the distance, even though it was unfortunately cloudy that day... The owner was very kind and helpful, and the service staff was polite and professional. Only the service didn't get top marks because, as I was the birthday girl, I would have expected them to start serving the dishes with me and ask me about the wine selection (small details that would have earned the top marks). In any case, I will be back with great pleasure!

17/11/2025: I can only say we had a wonderful Sunday, despite the adverse weather. A delicious truffle-based menu with carefully prepared, delicious, and locally sourced dishes. The welcome was special and the atmosphere very warm. We recommend staying here for the weekend too, taking advantage of the Foresteria's immaculately maintained rooms. Thanks again!

The salted cod appetizer with its sauce was delicious. The main course, the assorted poached beef, was served with a pot of broth, and the attentive waitress proactively asked if we needed small bowls and spoons to enjoy the broth. A small dessert platter was even provided after the meal. Overall, the dining experience and the friendly service deserve full marks. Highly recommended! 20/12/2025: I was at Il Moncalvo restaurant today and would first like to emphasize that the dining experience was truly positive: the dishes were very good, carefully prepared, and of high quality, and the attentive and friendly service made us feel welcomed and professionally cared for. For this reason, I'd like to share, in a constructive spirit, an aspect that left me a little perplexed. The restaurant's service phone had "Faccetta Nera" as its ringtone, a song historically associated with offensive and derogatory content. Furthermore, the phone rang repeatedly in the dining room, which seemed quite noticeable and out of place, especially considering the presence of a Black person. I'm certain there was no negative intent, but I believe that greater attention to these details could help make the environment truly welcoming and respectful for everyone. I reiterate my compliments for the food and hospitality, hoping that this observation will be taken as a starting point to further improve an already excellent experience.

I had the carbonara fries (9 euros), which were simply potatoes with grated cheese on top—I felt ripped off—and the ribs were truly subpar. I haven't eaten this badly in a long time, and I paid about 30 euros for this and a water. It's now 1 a.m. and I have heartburn. Truly dissatisfied with this cuisine.
