This trattoria is truly a tribute to traditional Italian cuisine. Despite the refined yet simple dishes, they make you feel at home. It's both tranquil and chaotic. Lunch breaks are hectic given the workers' tight schedules, but at the same time, the care, patience, and friendliness of the kind and busy ladies who run it make it feel genuine. A delightful little spot, in the shade of the adjacent pedestrian square, where you can escape to savor Italian cuisine as we know it. Made with fresh, local ingredients and paired with care and passion, it offers each diner a warm and tasty experience. The atmosphere is rustic and refined, with details that recall the traditions of the last century: the small tables, the choice of blackboard menu, the open kitchen, and the recycled objects that adorn the rooms make it unique and comfortable. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a restaurant to eat on our way back to Milan, and venturing off the highway, we came across Trattoria Mascon. We were greeted with a smile and enjoyed delicious food! I think it will become a regular stop on our way back from Liguria!

A charming and welcoming little place. Exceptional food. My husband and I had an excellent Fassina appetizer with mushrooms and parmesan, followed by pork shank and sliced ​​beef (also Fassina), both with potatoes. Truly excellent. The final dessert: buckwheat cake with blueberry jam. Truly fabulous! We'll definitely be back.

24/04/2026: A restaurant near the center, very neat and clean, with a casual atmosphere and friendly, approachable staff. You can tell they pay attention to detail. I had lunch with my wife, sharing dishes: fried zucchini flowers, truly light and excellent (no photos, they were eaten immediately); agnolotti with white ragù, very good and perfectly flavorful; cabbage with bagna cauda, ​​truly delicious and very flavorful; traditional veal with tuna sauce, delicious; and for dessert, the bonet, truly delicious. Having a daughter who's a pastry chef, I'm always hesitant to order desserts, but this one was truly top-notch. If I were to pass through Casale Monferrato again, I'd definitely stop by.

12/04/2026: I had a birthday dinner at this restaurant; I must say it was a lovely surprise. The place may seem cold due to its simple furnishings, but I think it's the choice of someone who makes simplicity their style. The staff is welcoming and attentive. Local cuisine with a modern twist. Recommended!
12/03/2026: A place that's hard to beat. Everything was top-notch, from the food to the service, to the bill. We arrived late, the only ones we met, yet we were greeted in the best possible way. The only thing I can say about the food is that it has nothing to envy of some Michelin-starred restaurants. The attention to detail, the preparation of raw materials, and the "off-menu" options make it a truly unique place.
