06/01/2026: Il Gallo d’Oro is one of those restaurants that welcomes you warmly from the moment you arrive. The place is charming, with a romantic and refined atmosphere, and the maître d’, kind and attentive, was very accommodating in seating us even though we hadn't booked. This gesture speaks volumes about the level of customer service. The atmosphere is clean, tidy, and harmonious, enhanced by a splendid wine list: an extensive and well-structured wine list, capable of satisfying even the most discerning connoisseurs. The Gastronomic Journey The evening began with a complimentary overture, a gratin rice dish that immediately set the tone for the cuisine: simple, well-executed, and tasty. The appetizers confirmed the excellent impression: - Broccoli flan with Bra fondue and crispy pancetta, balanced and very pleasant. The first courses were a true tribute to Piedmontese tradition: - Risotto with pumpkin cream and Bra fondue, soft and enveloping. Barbera and sausage risotto, rich, fragrant, and perfectly creamed. For the main course, a perfectly cooked Piedmontese beef steak, tender and flavorful, accompanied by excellent baked potatoes. To finish, a delicate and well-balanced berry or caramel panna cotta, followed by a carefully served coffee. Service and Atmosphere Despite the large number of diners, the staff was impeccable: attentive, smiling, able to explain the dishes and engage in a few jokes, contributing to a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The dishes are well-prepared, cooked to perfection, and tastefully plated. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the level of experience. A shared feedback The photos I posted on social media generated numerous messages from people who know the restaurant: everyone confirmed they had a great time. This is further evidence of the solid and well-deserved reputation of the Gallo d’Oro. A truly enjoyable evening in a restaurant that combines professionalism, warmth, and quality cuisine. They deserve a review like this because they work with passion, and it shows.

08/11/2025: Excellent restaurant! Eight of us had a menu to choose from. All the dishes were very good. The pesto-filled gnocchi remain my favorite. This is the menu we tried: Fassona Beef Tartare and Veal with Tuna Sauce Risotto with Robiola di Roccaverano, Gavi reduction Beef Cheek Braised in Gavi, Local Mashed Potatoes Creamy Cream Gelato and its Appetizers Excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere overlooking the vineyards. Extensive wine list, though missing Franciacorta and Trento DOC. The only complaint is the length of the lunch. Three hours is too long, in my opinion...

10/12/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times and it doesn't disappoint. The welcome is excellent and the traditional dishes are very good and carefully prepared. The portions are just right, it's a restaurant, not a trattoria. However, if you're passing through Bosco Maremgo, it's worth stopping by and enjoying excellent dishes in a lovely atmosphere and welcoming atmosphere.

31/10/2025: Traditional dishes with Ligurian influences, excellent wines, a lovely, warm and welcoming atmosphere, almost like a living room. The menu rotates fairly regularly depending on the seasons and the availability of ingredients. The agnolotti, the tagliolini with mushrooms, and yesterday's sausage lasagna were all very popular, as were the gnocchi, which were incredibly soft. The rabbit roll with mustard mayonnaise is a must, as is the stockfish with Taggiasca olives and cherry tomatoes. Exceptional desserts. I come here about once a year, but I will definitely return. The rosé wine is truly excellent, perfect for the evening. My only small tip: I would prefer the wine to be opened at the table (I've seen it arrive already opened at other tables, too).

17/01/2026: After braving the fog and rain, we were welcomed into the warm atmosphere of the restaurant, where we were delighted by the excellent Barbera and the beautifully presented, expertly prepared dishes with delicious, delicate flavors. We'll definitely be back in the spring!

06/12/2025: Company dinner with Piedmontese-style fritto misto. We had a great time, generous portions, and traditional dishes, well-cooked and fried to perfection. Impeccable service, courtesy, and hospitality. Excellent restaurant, also for romantic dinners.

09/01/2026: I didn't use the hotel portion, but we had lunch, and the food was very good. It's typical Piedmontese cuisine, with incredibly fresh and delicious raw meat and excellently prepared Piedmontese mixed fruit. I'd definitely recommend it again.

12/01/2026: The food is excellent, the place is beautiful and historic, the price is reasonable, only one small flaw: the bathroom doesn't have ventilation or a window, so the air is a bit "HEAVY" and ends up reaching the nearest tables.

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch. Expectations were very different. The only exception is the adequate service; the quality of the dishes is unacceptable, especially for a Christmas lunch. The place was cold; we ate with our jackets on. Never again.

Impeccable service, with the perfect amount of time to savor and enjoy the meal. Finally, four-legged friends are also welcome and pampered. A place to go and return to. Highly recommended.

It was a truly positive experience, with quality products, well-prepared and beautifully served, a wine list that reflects the local tradition but is of a high quality. The service was impeccable, and the staff was kind and helpful. We ate in the continental room, which I must say is well-maintained, where you're surrounded by numerous bottles of wine, making the atmosphere even more charming. I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.
