The restaurant is elegant and welcoming. The attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly staff are able to recommend the best wine pairings (their selection is truly remarkable).

This characteristic is emphasized by the minimalist, almost hidden entrance. The service is efficient, friendly, and empathetic.

26/04/2026: Excellent experience, small place, pleasant atmosphere, and cheerful staff. Good service, and the fish dishes (Acquese stockfish and cod with vegetables) were truly delicious. The appetizer was very good, but in my opinion a bit unbalanced; the robiola cheese was too dominant and hid the artichokes and truffles a bit, but still a good one. Definitely worth returning. Excellent.

15/05/2026: A lovely restaurant with a fantastic view of the lake. The staff is partly multilingual and easily manages the flow of customers, even when the restaurant is busy. The food is expertly prepared. Even those with hearty appetites will be satisfied, as the portions are generous. There's also a small but excellent wine list with very fair prices. It's no longer a hidden gem, but its value for money is still virtually unbeatable in this area. We're looking forward to our next visit.

02/06/2026: My wife and I were seate at the park across the street, surrounded by fountains, statues, trees, and a local vibe that will last us a lifetime. The tayarin with cervo, the goose’s breast with orange zest, accompanied by a glass of Barolo, gave us a taste of Piedmont’s heritage and legacy. Phenomenal taste in a unique setting; we loved our dining experience.

25/05/2026: We discovered this place thanks to The Fork. We were looking for somewhere near the Mole Antonelliana; excellent appetizers and spectacular first courses. The waiter, Luca, was very kind and professional. I highly recommend it, also for the atmosphere and its location near the park, perfect for an after-lunch stroll. Congratulations!

08/06/2026: Exceptional business lunches, the €13 menu always includes an appetizer, first course (the same one for everyone), second course (choice of 3-4 options), side dish, wine, water, and coffee. Excellent quality, the owners and staff are extremely kind, attentive, and punctual. Definitely a worthwhile place.

08/06/2026: A pleasant return after an absence of about 40 years. Passing by and it being lunchtime, I called and asked if a table for two was available. They were as kind as I remembered, and they said they were available. The place has since been renovated: larger, brighter; cleanliness, friendliness, and courtesy are the same as always. The set menu: a small platter with a salami and a knife for self-service, with no limit on quantity. The quality is excellent. For the first course, the fusilli with sausage sauce: delicious. For the second course, there are three choices: my wife and I both chose the chicken drumsticks. The quality and quantity were truly excellent. For dessert, we had two samples: panna cotta and crème caramel. With water and a liter of red wine, we paid 13 euros each. I forgot about the coffee. I also really appreciated the place's many round tables—built around a barrique barrel, seating eight people—and a large table with a thick semi-finished wood top. I also really appreciated the sound-absorbing panels that give the place a quiet atmosphere. Truly noteworthy details. Now that I'm back after such a long time and have tasted the quality I remembered, I'll definitely never forget it and I'll try to return soon.

01/06/2026: Dinner on March 6, 2026 This restaurant enjoys a wonderful location in the historic, semi-central Vanchiglia neighborhood, where time seems to have stood still: the large wooden balcony, brick vaults, unevenly plastered walls, dark wood tables, and low paneling evoke memories of old-fashioned style and tradition. The menu, not overly extensive, is a tribute to Piedmont and its signature dishes (with the exception of the decidedly foreign orecchiette alla Gaia). Our choices included two mixed appetizers, generous and pleasant; a plate of orecchiette topped with Castelmagno fondue, well-seasoned but not quite al dente; an ossobuco with artichokes, good but less flavorful than expected; and an excellent baked shank with potatoes. The wine list (all Piedmontese) is appropriate for the type of restaurant and reasonably priced, from which we chose a good Barbera di Cocito Dario. Very courteous and punctual service. After trying the orecchiette again, always tasty and well-seasoned but this time pleasantly al dente, and having had positive feedback on the other orders, I'm revising my rating. Rating: 8.5

24/05/2026: If I could give it four and a half stars, the restaurant is very charming with its light-and-dark atmosphere. The typical Piedmontese menu is delicious and varied, offering a gastronomic tour of local cuisine, showcasing the quality of the ingredients used. The prices are quite reasonable, and the service is also very kind and friendly. I would only slightly increase the portions in some cases.

29/04/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience was truly memorable, especially for seafood lovers. I started with a selection of the highest-quality raw fish: Sicilian purple shrimp, scampi, and the freshest sea urchins, with an intense yet delicate flavor. The care taken in selecting the ingredients was clearly evident. Among the hot dishes, the fried anchovies were perfect: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, light and not at all greasy. The real star, however, was the baked turbot served on a bed of sweet potato. A surprising, well-balanced dish, where the flavors blended creatively without overpowering the quality of the fish. To finish on a sweet note, a dessert accompanied by passito wine and coffee, the perfect way to end the dinner. Overall, refined yet authentic cuisine, showcasing the seafood with technique and imagination. A highly recommended experience.

31/12/2025: The atmosphere is very beautiful, intimate, and well-kept. I've been there a couple of times, both for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast: a wide selection of products, truly delicious and all vegan. The breakfast room is truly beautiful with a large table for sharing. Dinner: truly delicious, dishes with attention to detail in both flavor and appearance, a truly special place. (You can let us know about any allergies when booking.) The staff is very attentive, kind, and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

01/06/2026: An excellent pizza in Neive, combining tradition with impeccable service! 🍕✨ After several stops dedicated to the rich traditional cuisine of the Langhe, our bodies were crying out for a good, healthy pizza! We found this place with an old-world atmosphere, where the pizza turned out to be truly excellent. A particularly positive note: the fantastic option to choose your favorite type of dough! The real highlight of the evening, however, was the waiter: a young but incredibly talented man. When it comes to restaurants, this is exactly the quality of service you expect! Welcoming, friendly, and professional, he makes you feel immediately at home without ever losing an ounce of professionalism. If I had to make a small constructive comment, there are just a couple of details missing from the excellence: The appetizers: the idea of ​​an open fridge at the entrance leaves a bit to be desired; it would be much better to have them freshly prepared from the kitchen. The wine list: It could be enhanced by offering a few more unusual, niche, and less commercial labels. The decor: The retro style is beautiful, but it could use a little more attention to detail. Neive desperately needs a place that's both historic and contemporary! The pizza is excellent and the service is excellent... it's just a tiny step away from perfection. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.
