This restaurant was the perfect ending to our Italian holiday! The staff was very friendly, and one of the waitresses even spoke French. The dishes were flawless, with exceptional flavors (especially the cacio e pepe pasta prepared in the stone). The desserts were also incredibly good. We have absolutely no complaints: it was our favorite restaurant of the entire holiday! If we're ever back in Arona, we'll definitely return.

A lovely, traditional restaurant with a small but excellent menu (in German, English, and Italian). It gets quite warm in the summer as there's no air conditioning, but that doesn't detract from the experience. The service is superb, but the food is even better. Highly recommended!

If you are in Arona you must go to Antico Gallo. My husband and I went for our final dinner in Italy per a local’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. The roast chicken was the best I ever had…quite possibly in my life. The cacio e pepe was well executed and bursting with flavor. We also had the squash blossoms and white fish with pickled veggies as starters. They were fantastic. I will be thinking about this meal for a long time. Molto bene!!!
