20/09/2025: Unique location, excellent food, and friendly service. I ordered a prosecco and it tasted excellent. The accompanying platter also featured good ingredients. Afterwards, we each tried a dish of roast beef, tartare, and meatballs. Everything was simple and excellent. My only complaint was the extra meatball, even though it disrupted the neat symmetry of the dish. A 10 out of 10.

10/10/2025: I went to the Croce di Malta restaurant for a wedding. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The location is truly beautiful, surrounded by greenery and offering plenty of space, even for the little ones, with a small area dedicated entirely to them. The restaurant's interior is beautiful and well-organized, with a circular room that creates a sense of unity and allows all guests to stay connected. Last but not least, the service was impeccable. The waiters were always attentive to our needs and were available for anything we needed. Highly recommended!

15/08/2025: An absolute must if you're in the area. We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice, even though we're not really wine connoisseurs. The food is exquisite, prepared with fresh ingredients and lovingly presented. We'll be back.

05/10/2025: The one-star rating is because zero isn't possible. For €172, we had, in order: Dirty bathroom Stained blankets Television and remote control didn't work The icing on the cake...no heating in the rooms. To our complaints, the most hilarious responses were: Municipal ordinance prohibits lighting (radiators are on in the inn's bar). It takes time for the room to warm up. (Radiators never turned on). The inn is 2000 square meters, so I can't light it for everyone (in fact, everyone is cold). The inn is full, so that means it's fine (unspeakable). He entered our room wearing a sweater and jacket and exclaimed...perfect temperature. Conclusion...extra blankets for everyone. Breakfast was basic, apart from the lack of savory options. Terrible service, terrible location, and terrible value. Don't be lured by offers from Booking.com or other apps...it's a waste of money. Highly not recommended.

03/10/2025: We had such a lovely dinner here and it was the best way to end our trip! Raouf, the owner, had a wonderful disposition and welcomed us with open arms. The vibe was cozy and restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was excellent (we ordered branzino and pasta - 100% the best branzino we've ever had and the pasta was fantastic as well)! They also make a really excellent Limoncello in-house that we highly recommend trying! Raouf's service was above and beyond: There was someone servicing the building outside and we noticed Raouf kindly conversing with him and gifting him wine after the worker completed the job for the day. We ended up discovering Raouf's Restaurant and Hotel the last night of our vacation, but we will absolutely be returning to stay here at his hotel and dine at the restaurant the next time we visit the Como, Italy area again!

30/08/2025: We went to this beautiful grotto for dinner, renovated and well-maintained, surrounded by lush greenery and with plenty of parking. It was our first time trying pizza, but there are several other dishes we'd love to try. The kindness and undeniable courtesy of Damiano and Fabrizio, my wife's cousins, are the real highlight of this lovely grotto.

12/10/2025: Excellent location with a panoramic view of the lake, elegant venue, good service, very good appetizer with assorted seafood crostini, good first course with mussels but particularly salty, and pasta, in my opinion, undercooked, cannelloni with lamb ragù excellent, prices a bit high, probably for selection, as evidenced by the fact that it was a beautiful Sunday and there were only a few guests in the dining room. A tip: more reasonable prices. Overall a positive experience.

05/10/2025: Wonderful and attentive staff. They are also able to cater for gluten free, we had the braised beef and the sirloin (gluten free) both were lovely! They also had gluten free bread and can do pasta dishes gluten free.

06/09/2025: After a lovely walk from Torno, even with children accustomed to walking, you arrive in this beautiful village where you can eat at the Montepiatto crotto. The staff are extremely kind and friendly, the food is authentic and spectacular, and the location is top-notch. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

27/08/2025: I recommend a visit to Crotto Montepiatto. A simple yet unique and authentic place, very well managed, where the quality of the dishes is top-notch. It's the perfect stop on the circular route up from Torno. I'll definitely be back in the autumn colors.

21/10/2025: Excellent dinner. The polenta uncia was fantastic, as was the tiramisu. The house wine was also good! The restaurant is worth the trip from Como! We'll definitely be back.

21/10/2025: Pleasant, clean atmosphere with a simple, vintage style. The piano music in the background was much appreciated. The waiter was kind and knowledgeable. The food was truly delicious!!! Very high quality and generous portions! We had the local cured meats and cheese platter, polenta with bacon and polenta with wild boar, and for dessert, the strudel and ricotta, chestnut, and chocolate tart. The only downside was the bread: I expected it to be a little better. Highly recommended!

30/06/2025: È la quinta volta che torno in questo ristorante ed esco sempre entusiasta. La qualità della materia prima è straordinaria: si sente che ogni ingrediente è selezionato con rigore e rispetto per la stagionalità. Dall’antipasto al dolce, ogni piatto è un perfetto equilibrio tra tecnica, creatività e tradizione. Le presentazioni sono eleganti ma sincere, senza mai scivolare nell’eccesso: ogni portata racconta una storia e valorizza la cucina italiana con un tocco da grande chef. Insomma, alta cucina a tutti gli effetti, con sapori che rimangono impressi nella memoria. Un luogo dove si torna volentieri, non solo per mangiare bene, ma per vivere una vera esperienza gastronomica. Assolutamente consigliato a chi cerca eccellenza e autenticità, in un ambiente modesto e a prezzi assolutamente modici. Un consiglio però…. Non fermatevi all’apparenza, perché la sostanza è davvero incredibile e armatevi di tanta pazienza! Ma come si dice…: “L’attesa del piacere è essa stessa il piacere”. Complimenti sinceri!!!!!
