26/06/2026: If you're looking for a great meal on Lake Como, Restaurant LaTrave is an absolute insider tip. A fantastic restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. The food is excellent, with fantastic pasta, fish, and meat dishes, and delicious salads. The desserts are amazing. One of the best restaurants on Lake Como. They still cook authentic Italian food here, which isn't always the case in Italy anymore. The pasta and meat dishes are simply divine; you hardly ever find anything like it on Lake Como these days. The owners, from grandmother to mother and son, have the kitchen running like clockwork, so the service is absolutely top-notch. 👍👍👍👍👍

14/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at Minimalismo! Don't hesitate to step inside; it's a hidden gem. The cocktails are simply excellent, perfectly balanced, and generous. The owner is passionate and takes the time to chat, offer advice, and even recommend great places to eat, far from the often overpriced tourist traps in Como. The prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and generous portions of the cocktails. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again for this fantastic experience!

01/10/2025: My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to this restaurant – unfortunately, we were disappointed. The ambiance is beautiful and very stylish, a definite 10/10 for that. However, the food and service couldn't keep up. We had the feeling that you only get full attention if you order an expensive bottle of wine. I only had one glass of wine, which remained empty for a long time – only after I had to call the waiter did I get a new one, even though he saw several times as he walked past that my glass was empty. About the food: The prices are disproportionate to the quality. My bread with burrata was completely burnt around the edges, which was very noticeable. The gnocchi were small, dry, and tasteless. I skipped dessert because I'd lost my appetite. Conclusion: The ambiance was great, but the food and service were a huge disappointment. I've eaten much better and much cheaper in Italy.

26/04/2026: We stopped by on the recommendation of a friend who had been there before. Francesco, a talented young chef with great potential, is in the kitchen. We were offered a delicious and unexpected amuse-bouche to start. We ordered a mixed seafood appetizer and octopus. Both were delicious and plentiful. We continued with the Gambero Rosso linguine, which is absolutely amazing and a must-try, and the meat-filled ravioli with a Bruno sauce, which were spectacular. Another highlight was the salmon, served cold-smoked under the bell, which is also a must-try. Despite the generous portions, we found room for the limoncello semifreddo. It's definitely worth stopping by.

26/04/2026: A culinary experience unlike any other in the local area. If you eat here, the 5 mosse (five different courses) is a must (all at the chef's discretion). Just be aware that since there's only one chef, there will be a short wait, but it's definitely worth it! The chef and staff are incredibly passionate, and they've always been helpful and attentive! I can't wait to eat here again.

30/04/2026: First time at this restaurant on Via Borgovico Vecchia, just steps from the stadium. The place is well-maintained, with limited seating. The menu isn't terribly extensive, but it does offer interesting dishes. There aren't any dishes inspired by tradition or the local area, which, in my humble opinion, is a real shame. The dishes are carefully crafted and well-presented. I had the pasta with clams and bottarga and the apple tatin with ice cream, both delicious. I find the price a bit excessive; 20% less would have been more appropriate, but these days, in Como, you can no longer be surprised by these prices. That said, the food was good, and I'm glad I tried it.

18/04/2026: I'm vegan, and last night I dined here for the third time. The staff is incredibly kind and always present without being intrusive, always ready to accommodate every request. The menus are always exquisitely varied, the ingredients are top-quality, and the cuisine and attention to detail are truly excellent, with truly interesting and never boring options. For me, a vegan, if I let them know when I make a reservation (recommended because it's always busy), I always find super delicious and meticulously prepared dishes. The prices are not at all high and perfectly in line with the excellent quality of the cuisine and service. Highly recommended. Colombo Fabrizio

14/07/2026: Basic food in small quantities, stifling heat in the room

13/07/2026: The restaurant was fairly average. The food was edible, but the ingredients didn't seem to be of very high quality. The pizzas didn't impress us: the dough was rather disappointing and lacked flavor. On the other hand, the gnocchi with gorgonzola were really very good. The service also left something to be desired. Two waitresses were quite unpleasant and seemed to be pushing for more orders, which wasn't very pleasant. Overall, the experience was mixed. Fortunately, the view of the lake is very pleasant and adds a real bonus to the setting.

09/05/2026: I've known El Sombrero for many years, the management has changed, but the pizza chef has been working there for over 35 years. The Atomica pizza is truly succulent... good Taggiasca olives, excellent Gola cheese, really good salami with just the right amount of spice... The mozzarella might not be the best, but it's edible. The specialty of this pizzeria is the size of the pizzas: standard or large. The pizzas are oval, and as you can see from the photo, they're truly XL. The bresaola, arugula, and parmesan are very good. The desserts are all Bindi; I didn't try it, but it depends on your taste. The coffee is good... The staff is very kind, friendly, and very attentive to their customers. The waiter who looked after our table was very nice, asking us how we were doing a couple of times... Obviously, everything was wonderful... We stayed for an hour because the atmosphere is welcoming and clean, and above all, they don't rush you to leave, which unfortunately happens almost everywhere in Milan. I will be back soon with friends and family.

01/02/2026: I celebrated a birthday with 17 guests at Taverna di Rugantino. We were greeted with a friendly and cheerful welcome, and we ate and drank abundantly and well. It's the perfect place for groups of friends, with a cheerful and carefree atmosphere. Highly recommended!

04/06/2026: We ate at the restaurant and the service was exceptional. We were with children and the staff were very kind and friendly. The food was excellent! I recommend it and will return whenever I can!

30/05/2026: The location is stunning, with a very romantic and decadent view. The service is good, although it's unclear how you get a table near the lake; it seems like the seating is assigned arbitrarily... The most disappointing part, however, is the food. It's very basic, with low-to-medium-quality ingredients and tiny portions by Italian standards. I honestly wouldn't recommend it, except for the breathtaking view.

21/10/2025: Beautiful location and AMAZING food, but please play ITALIAN MUSIC! 🙂 No one wants to be in Lake Como looking at the beautiful sights and listening to Miley Cyrus! Haha! We stayed at an Airbnb near by and this restaurant was the best thing about the Airbnb!! We went twice. Hope to be back again someday!

15/10/2025: Fabulous family run restaurant in a beautiful setting with stunning views over the lake. This was a 5-7 walk from the hotel where we stayed and was recommended by our hotel receptionist. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. We had the pistachio pasta and lasagne which was amazing. The caramel panacota was really tasty and the house wine was really good as well. Overall really enjoyed our meal.
