15/05/2026: A terrific night trying local wines with friendly staff who were very knowledgeable. By the 3rd wine pairing the staff were bringing out options based on our preferences and feedback from the first 2 drinks. Simple food fare (26Ë for a meat/cheese board - more to spend on the wine!!) but if you are a wine lover this is a must-see. Drinks very reasonable and bringing back a couple of local bottles each! And def make a reservation given how popular it is. Cannot recommend enough if you are in Bellagio.

14/05/2026: If I could give negative one star... I am sorry I would... We travel around the world, however waiting for a table for 90 plus minutes after being told it would be 20-30 minutes just is not acceptable ANYWHERE in the world... I have no idea how the food was as we took our bottle "to go" after waiting 90 minutes...

12/07/2026: we went here to celebrate my birthday since it was recommended by a friend. It really wasn’t good, we order three dishes only one dish was ok, the other two weren’t special or good and the pasta we order for the end we left it because it was just like grocery store food. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the view from the windows was fantastic, but it called my attention that when we paid they didn’t even asked why we didn’t eat the pasta. I don’t want to harm the business, maybe it was not a good day at the kitchen, but they definitely need to improve.

08/06/2026: Villa d’Este remains one of the great hotels of Europe, and the level of service is as polished and professional as ever. The gardens are immaculate, the setting on Lake Como is timeless, and the staff continue to deliver the kind of hospitality that made the property legendary. What has changed, at least from my perspective, is the atmosphere. I cannot help feeling that the experience is slowly drifting away from quiet, understated luxury and moving a little closer to a stage performance. There is more spectacle, more social media energy, and at times it feels as though some guests are visiting to be seen rather than simply to enjoy one of the world’s great hotels. Nothing about the quality has diminished. If anything, Villa d’Este still executes at an extraordinarily high level. I simply miss the slightly more discreet and effortless elegance that once defined the place for me. Perhaps this is the natural evolution of luxury hospitality in the age of Instagram. But for those who appreciate slow luxury, privacy, and the feeling that true refinement never needs to announce itself, there may be a quiet sense of nostalgia.

16/07/2026: Ice cream not gelato. If you buy one flavor you get cone that tastes like cardboard

16/07/2026: €5.50 for a large waffle that, once the ice cream melted a bit, revealed a practically empty cavity. The ice cream was only on the top, giving the impression of a much larger portion than it actually was. It's not a question of price, but of fairness. It's a shame, because it's the kind of experience that makes you never want to return.

23/07/2026: Amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, the service was excellent, and we got a table with a beautiful view. I had the ravioli and the tiramisu, and both were absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and fantastic service. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The selection of excellent wines is equally impressive. A particular highlight for us were the superb cocktails, which you absolutely shouldn't miss before or after your meal. Ambiance & View The restaurant's atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, yet wonderfully tranquil. The magnificent view completes the experience, making dinner an unforgettable event. A true feast for all the senses! Service The service is absolutely top-notch. The entire team is extremely attentive and professional. What truly stands out is the precise and flexible way in which individual requests are accommodated – as a guest, you feel completely valued and exceptionally well cared for. Conclusion & Tip Due to the high quality and popularity of the restaurant, advance reservations are absolutely essential. Anyone looking for a special evening with outstanding food in an elegant setting will certainly not be disappointed. Highly recommended!

26/04/2026: Nothing, they've gotten smart. I'll start by saying that I'm a regular at other piadina shops of the same brand. This is the first time I've seen it like this. The piadinas basically have the bare minimum of toppings, I think 1/3 compared to any other piadina shop. I had to go here for 4 days, so no problem, it's just deliberately applied. Besides, they're the only ones in the hospital. Ridiculous. And the fridge is kept at minimum, with the beer always warm after a minute, rightly so. Never again.

06/06/2026: RetroGusto is a guarantee. Since I discovered it, I've been bringing several people there, and we always leave satisfied. The meat on the salt griddle is always excellent, and a quick chat with the chef shows how much he cares about the quality of the products he offers his customers. The wine selection is also very refined, and it's a pleasure to let the owner's expertise guide you. The atmosphere is quiet and refined. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

01/07/2026: Good selection of craft beers, both on tap and in the fridge. Both Italian and locally sourced, all made in-house (beers, kefir, and digestifs...must try!)... The food...well, the cafoncini are unique here, you're sure to find a flavor you like!! The place is beautiful: refined in its writing, memorabilia, and board games.

11/06/2026: Fried pizza is good. Lasagna and tiramisu is mid. The waiter wasn’t very welcoming. We kindly asked for a recommendation and he simply replied ‘Just look at the menu’ and didn’t seem very happy that we’ve asked for the recommendation. We also waited to order over half an hour, whereas other tables that came after us got to order first. So I didn’t have the best experience there.

17/03/2026: THE PERCH RISOTTO WAS BEYOND DELICIOUS - I can’t stop thinking about it even 3 months later Staff was so amazing - we kept coming back just to see them.

04/01/2026: The food was really good and we really liked that they provided our children with colored pencils and paper to keep them busy without disturbing us.
