16/07/2026: Ice cream not gelato. If you buy one flavor you get cone that tastes like cardboard

16/07/2026: €5.50 for a large waffle that, once the ice cream melted a bit, revealed a practically empty cavity. The ice cream was only on the top, giving the impression of a much larger portion than it actually was. It's not a question of price, but of fairness. It's a shame, because it's the kind of experience that makes you never want to return.

01/07/2026: Good selection of craft beers, both on tap and in the fridge. Both Italian and locally sourced, all made in-house (beers, kefir, and digestifs...must try!)... The food...well, the cafoncini are unique here, you're sure to find a flavor you like!! The place is beautiful: refined in its writing, memorabilia, and board games.

11/06/2026: Fried pizza is good. Lasagna and tiramisu is mid. The waiter wasn’t very welcoming. We kindly asked for a recommendation and he simply replied ‘Just look at the menu’ and didn’t seem very happy that we’ve asked for the recommendation. We also waited to order over half an hour, whereas other tables that came after us got to order first. So I didn’t have the best experience there.

19/06/2026: A very welcoming place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The pizza is very good, as are the desserts. The garden is very pretty and surrounded by greenery.

05/05/2026: We went to Mercato 38 and had a really good time. We loved the place and enjoyed the food from start to finish. We started with a platter to share: perhaps not the most generous, but still the right size for a shared appetizer. Then we had pizzoccheri and tagliolini with lamb ragù, both truly delicious. The pizzoccheri in particular impressed us the most: flavorful, well-made, and truly enjoyable to eat. For dessert, we chose an apple tarte tatin with a scoop of ice cream, which was delicious and beautifully presented. While we enjoyed it, the savory dishes were undoubtedly our favorite. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we'll gladly return.

04/06/2026: Went to the Mandarin Oriental for dinner for my Mum’s 80th birthday and, despite the thunderstorms and torrential rain, we had a really lovely time. The staff were brilliant and helped us get from the top of the road down to the hotel in the caddy, which made a big difference and kept my Mum dry. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the decor and ambience were exceptional. It would be lovely to go back on a sunny day and enjoy it properly without the downpour, but even with the weather my Mum really enjoyed it. A special dinner and a very memorable place for her 80th.

15/06/2026: A truly special place. What struck me most was the kindness and helpfulness of the owner and staff. From the first contact, they were always friendly and ready to help with any need. We felt welcomed as guests, not just customers. They were incredibly attentive and always made us feel at ease. The cuisine also deserves a special mention: you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care with which the dishes are prepared. The handmade pasta was exceptional, one of those things that makes you want to return. It's rare to find a place where you eat well but, above all, where you feel so welcomed. Highly recommended to anyone passing through Como looking for a genuine, peaceful atmosphere, run by people who do their job with passion.

27/04/2026: On the day of arrival, we opted for convenience. And this restaurant is perfectly suited for that. Great prices for good quality pizza and pasta. We enjoyed the Italian cuisine with a nice glass of wine. The service is friendly; they speak limited English, but that is not a problem when ordering. Dishes were served very quickly.
