05/03/2026: Food was absolutely lovely, 10/10. The service was also a perfect 10/10. The only thing that surpassed them were the host’s eyebrows, 11/10. The chef came out at the end, which made the evening even more special. Altogether, it made for a truly unforgettable experience.

03/03/2026: A special and intimate experience at Feel Como. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating and pleasant lighting that creates a lovely atmosphere. The gentleman serving us was highly professional and attentive, offering excellent recommendations throughout the meal. We began with a beautiful and delicious amuse-bouche that set the bar high for the rest of the lunch. The chef clearly demonstrates great skill and genuine respect for the ingredients. As a small downside, both main courses arrived lukewarm and became completely cold by the time we finished them, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. That said, it’s definitely worth a visit while in Como.

08/04/2026: Maximum availability, kindness, and provision of any essentials requested. Recommended for its excellent value; we really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet location towards the mountains above Menaggio. A car is required, and you must be careful when returning home after dark due to the many hairpin bends. However, the location also brings a quietness and a lack of tourist chaos that are almost unthinkable in mid-high season on Lake Como! 💯

But this time, I'll do the exact opposite: I won't post photos. > Why? Because the Chef's cuisine and the hospitality of the owners of "Diavolo L'Acqua Santa" are an experience that must be experienced with your own eyes, not through a screen. Posting a picture would be like revealing the secret of a magic trick before the show even begins. The Ambience: A perfect balance, as the name suggests, between the sacred and the profane, where the atmosphere envelops you and prepares you for something unique. The Cuisine: The Chef doesn't just cook, he displays extraordinary technical and creative skill. Each dish is an explosion of expertise and passion. The owners, people of rare human and professional caliber, guide guests on a journey where mediocrity is out of place. My advice: Don't look for previews. Book, sit down, and be surprised. 22/02/2026: My wife, I, and our little girl had lunch at Elvis's today, and there's a family atmosphere here. It feels like home: the staff are friendly, welcoming, professional, and excellent, well-cooked and beautifully presented dishes. I also emphasize the honesty with a capital H. In fact, due to a typo on the receipt, we paid for the wine twice without realizing it. We left, and shortly afterward they followed us to refund the extra amount we paid. A gesture not common among us, and not to be taken for granted. WELL DONE! Finally, a shout-out to Jonny, who is super professional, friendly, and helpful! Wonderful place, we'll be back.

06/01/2026: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Aside from the very long wait and the fact that the food didn't arrive at the table at the same time, the service – especially from one particular server – was truly disappointing. We were argued with, and the tone quickly became unfriendly and rude, making us feel completely unwelcome. On the positive side, I must say the pistachio pasta was actually very, very delicious. However, the overall experience at Stonehouse was so negative that it has stayed with me for months, and I only now feel the need to write a review. The criticism we voiced on-site was unfortunately not handled well at all. As a constructive suggestion for the future, we would like to point out: a little more customer friendliness and service orientation. Especially in the restaurant industry, friendliness and respectful treatment of guests are invaluable. And no, it had absolutely nothing to do with the seating; that was perfectly fine.

05/04/2026: Beautiful location, but otherwise not recommended. We came specifically for the pizza; my little niece had been looking forward to it all day. The online menu included pizza, but it wasn't available when we arrived. They only offered expensive meat and fish dishes, nothing for vegetarians. We left, and the staff seemed rude.

14/02/2026: Recommended by a friend. I wasn't convinced because I read "hamburgheria." Instead, they do serve hamburgers, but with a choice of bread. For example, I had the tuna with burrata, pistachios, roasted cherry tomatoes, and cornbread. Exceptional is an understatement, and very generous. Fairly priced, and very kind staff.

20/03/2026: Il Pinguino - Osteno: Thirty Years Later, the Return There are places that live twice: first in memory, second when you return. Il Pinguino in Osteno is one of them. The last time I crossed these thresholds, they were thirty years younger, I was thirty years younger, and spring exploded with a gentle violence that enveloped everything: the trees along the lake, the still-fresh Ceresio air, and that springtime femininity blossoming in the glances, the smiles, the unfulfilled promises of youth. Returning today is an act of courage or nostalgia—perhaps both. Osteno is still there, overlooking Lake Lugano like a silent sentinel, beyond time and fashion. And Il Pinguino endures, true to itself. The Restaurant Nothing has changed, or perhaps everything. The walls, the tables, the smell of real cooking wafting from the dining room. The pizza I order it. It arrives steaming hot, with that puffy, irregular crust that only a wood-fired oven can provide. The return I look out, toward the lake. Spring is no longer what it was back then—or maybe I just don't see it the same way anymore. Nature's blossoming is still there, stubborn, punctual. But that feminine quality that had bewitched me thirty years ago now lives elsewhere, in other gazes, in other lives. The Penguin remains. Osteno remains. The certainty that some places never betray us remains, even when we ourselves change. Recommended? Yes. For those seeking authenticity, for those who want to return, for those who know that certain places should be visited at least twice in a lifetime: once when young, once when not so young. And in between, thirty years of travel. Rating: 4/5 – Not for lack of quality, but because perfection belongs only to memories.

08/03/2026: We found it by chance, and the only downside is that we didn't know about it beforehand. It has a homey, old-fashioned atmosphere, few frills, and transparent prices. We ordered three menus and spent €39. Not only do I recommend the place, but I hope the honesty and dedication of the owners, who in 2026 are providing families with meals at fair prices, will be rewarded with positive publicity!

17/03/2026: THE PERCH RISOTTO WAS BEYOND DELICIOUS - I can’t stop thinking about it even 3 months later Staff was so amazing - we kept coming back just to see them.
