18/02/2025: Cozy place, helpful staff, typical and much appreciated dishes. The dishes were more abundant than expected, as well as very good. All washed down with a good loose wine. The waiting time, once seated, was normal. Advise

15/02/2025: A beautiful discovery. The location of the Grottino reflects the atmosphere of Viterbo, adequate furnishings for a place in the historic center, in my humble opinion the roses were a little out of place but otherwise everything was very nice. Let's get to the dishes: very good mixed house starter, excellent raw materials, cheeses and cured meats, although I would have avoided the bresaola rolls with spreadable cheese and the slightly old-fashioned combination of melon and raw ham. Pea and asparagus timbale excellent, as is the cheese quiche. The savory croissant stuffed with lard is excellent. The first courses (green tortelli stuffed with cheese with truffle and asparagus tagliatelle with crispy bacon and pecorino di fossa) were overall very good, with two small imperfections: 1) the tortelli pastry was very thick; 2) they were not drained carefully, in fact I detected the presence of cooking water at the bottom of the plate. The tagliatelle were perfect. Good coffee served with artisanal chocolates. Of note is the extreme professionalism of the dining room staff, from picking up coats as soon as we enter to bringing a bag hanger to the table for my lady, always keeping glasses full, providing differentiated menus (mine with prices, my wife's without prices). The only advice is to make the wooden balustrade more stable when climbing the stairs leading to the bathroom. Excellent value for money. Super recommended.

16/02/2025: We chose this restaurant because it offers local dishes. The environment is pleasant and tells the story of the area, the service is impeccable. I chose a wine among the many offered and the waitress introduced me to the history of that wine. The dishes are original and refined, we didn't simply "ate" but lived an experience.

15/02/2025: Lunch inside in the entrance hall near the window. The environment is delicate with sober colours, wooden tables and chairs, photographic books that tell of the Agro Falisco area and beyond. The service is attentive and takes great care to describe the ingredients of the dishes. Original menu with seasonal local products and the wine list has local wines but also others. We ate an appetizer consisting of a bed of fresh fennel with oranges and a simply divine crunchy porchetta blanket, followed by a pasta stuffed with scamorza and artichokes and adorned with some petals, truly very good and light (it looked like two stuffed crêpes). We drank a local red wine barricaded for 12 months which went perfectly with the dishes we tasted. Pleasant, low-volume music plays in the background. I highly recommend it. I advise you to park in Calcata nuova and go down the path, keeping high. There are some free spaces and then the paid car park from which the pedestrian path starts which allows a splendid view of Calcata Vecchia as you approach the restaurant which is located at the entrance to the pedestrian area

22/02/2025: Discovered this evening by chance but really pleasantly surprised, in a quiet environment it almost feels like being at home like in the past, three fantastic guys served us divinely and impeccably, perfectly coordinated with each other, bringing us fantastic thin pizzas, to say the least, well cooked and expertly seasoned. The bill was very honest for everything we took. Truly highly recommended...I can only put a photo of the brushed dishes because everything was really good...thank you, we will be back

18/03/2025: The place is small but welcoming in the center of Sutri, the problem I found was in the dishes that my friend and I ordered: as for the tagliata that I had expressly requested rare, it was served completely cooked while my friend who had ordered tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and truffle was brought a dish without truffle. An experience that I would not repeat. The only positive note: good-priced wine

16/03/2025: I haven't had a pizza like this in a long time, very good, a starter of a bit of everything, good and light, 4 of us took 3 shovels 8 different flavors and all very good, in the end we got up without being full, (we would have taken 2 more shovels) a special dough, congratulations. Polite and friendly staff. We had a very good time. Clean place. Good service, neither fast nor slow. I can't publish the photos because as soon as the shovels arrived the pizza was so good that it ended immediately and I then remembered to take a photo, I'll do it next time 😉🍻. What to say... Seeing is believing, we are very happy to come back. I recommend it.

10/03/2025: I found the presumption of posing as a starred restaurant, with little, or rather no, flexibility in managing requests. I didn't feel good, pressure on respecting the timetable, but the place was empty! They didn't seem as friendly as they would like to appear, (fake kindness), nothing serious, of course, but given dislike gives an unsympathetic attitude. Very nice dishes, above average prices, so-so flavours. Maybe the review encourages us to improve.

09/03/2025: The best restaurant in Civita without a doubt. Unique environment, a few well-arranged tables, atmosphere of times gone by. Excellent menu and preparation of dishes. Maybe some imbalance in the sweet and sour onions (more sweet than sour), but really good dishes. Fast and friendly service. Honest account. Must try again. Thank you.

19/03/2025: Il Casale is a rustic restaurant, informal atmosphere, perfect welcome. Varied menu between Viterbo and Roman cuisine such as the exceptional Viterbo rabbit, spelt soup with beans and chestnuts a real delicacy, it has internal parking and tables both outside and inside. A special mention for the kindness, friendliness and helpfulness of everyone, owner and waiter. Oh I forgot they have a very good wine 😋 It's already the second time I've been there... and I'll be back again ☺️ M.Grazia

26/12/2024: Excellent quality of the cakes, average puff pastry, logically high in taste. Good cappuccino and hot chocolate. The atmosphere is a bit forced, bordering on kitsch in the separate room.

13/12/2024: I stumbled upon this place by chance, still standing at the door and I was immediately struck by the atmosphere inside. A well-kept and refined place where a vintage style mixes pleasantly with the modern. The staff is kind and smiling. The products on display are varied and assorted to such an extent that they captivate the eye but their scent inebriates and you are immediately transported by the sensations, at this point all that remains is to taste and taste.

16/02/2025: 2025 Update: We have returned many times in recent years to the Hostaria della Rosa and have always found confirmations. We went for lunch last Saturday, the excellent quality of the dishes, incredible Griciarola and really good Tiramisu. The service was courteous and at the right time, the owner was courteous and always available. I highly recommend it!! ---------- Discovered almost by chance it was a pleasant surprise. The place is welcoming, the cuisine is excellent and we were accompanied by the courtesy and passion of the owner who was always very attentive and available to our requests. We will definitely be back to try other delights.

08/03/2025: The place is along the road, just before arriving in the ancient part of the city. Paid parking is located nearby. Convenient and easily accessible. Various choices on the menu. Kind and helpful guys. Good and well made products. Average prices given the quality of the product. Perhaps the tables were too close together and there was little privacy but otherwise everything was perfect.
