19/03/2025: Small, hard working trattoria with great food at great prices - the two course + wine + coffee menu of the day is only €20. My pasta was perfectly cooked, still chewy and with a light fresh tomato/sausage/fennel sauce. And my main was a good portion of tender beef meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. Friendly service and honest unfussy good food in a true "local secret" restaurant. Recommended

06/03/2025: Passiamo per questa trattoria per una visita veloce al centro storico di Viterbo. Locale semplice, come il servizio. Abbiamo davvero mangiato BENE! Cibo veramente da trattoria, senza particolari preparazioni o gusti, ma davvero piacevole! Tutti concordi nel consigliarlo! BRAVI!

06/03/2025: Per caso ,capitati a pranzo in un sabato piovoso ,dopo la visita a Palazzo Farnese, e pur essendo tardi ci hanno accolto e preparato un ottimo pranzo . Locale antico e particolare restaurato con eleganza, menu articolato con buoni piatti creativi....... ritorneremo per provarli tutti. E non ultimo , tutto il locale pulitissimo bagni compresi.....cosa non comune anche in ristoranti blasonati.

24/02/2025: Nice atmosphere and traditional Tuscia dishes. The chickpea and chestnut soup and the strangozzi are delicious. The cutting board is sufficient, nothing special. Friendly but very slow service, we stayed 3 hours for an appetizer, two first courses and a dessert.

22/02/2025: I was on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. The place is beautiful and the food is sublime. The prices are honest. I would happily stay here again. The only flaw is the owner who welcomed me, scolding me for being late, I told him that I had booked for 9 and that I was on time. He insisted that he wrote 8:30. Lock him in the kitchen. 😂

24/03/2025: It is difficult to find a restaurant with a suggestive and characteristic place like this: it is a series of rooms carved into the tuff, joined by tunnels, once used as work environments for the processing of oil and wine. One room is used as a "cellar" with an exhibition of ancient bottles from several decades ago. Walking along the corridors you can even see an authentic waterfall. Part of the transparent flooring allows you to see the rooms below. An old stone oil mill dominates the central room while the old electrical system, restored and functioning, is very characteristic. In such an evocative setting, it is extremely pleasant to taste the traditional dishes of Tuscia.

22/03/2025: L’unica spiegazione è che ci sia stato un cambio gestione, altrimenti era una candid…. Locale vuoto, all’ingresso un signore cinese che non alza neanche lo sguardo, wow che accoglienza, l’unico ragazzo/cameriere/portapiatti ci fa gentilmente accomodare, ordiniamo provando a farci consigliare ma l’idea è che non conoscesse i piatti idem dicasi per il vino, forse era il suo primo giorno visto anche l’abbigliamento, in tuta da jogging. Il bagno sporco, senza carta igienica ad inizio servizio, quindi non pulito né controllato dall’apertura. Un piatto composto da quattro mezze fettine di pane olio e sale 3 ciliegine di mozzarelle ( pessime) e 6 olive €8, avevamo ordinato una bruschetta, la verdura grigliata sicuramente surgelata e neanche cotta condita con olio trasparente, carciofi a spicchi insapori palesemente surgelati, siamo in piena stagione degli stessi…. chiaramente nessun asterisco sul menù… il locale bellissimo ma trascurato… si salvi chi può

25/03/2025: Small and very characteristic place located in the city center. For lunch, they offer a fixed menu for €10 including a first course, second course, side dish and water, to which you can add the house dessert for €2, a bruschetta appetizer for €5 and extra drinks, in addition to water. An attention that I really appreciated is the possibility of choosing the reduced menu without the second course for €7.50. The menu changes and today for the first course you could choose between lasagna and fusilli with radicchio and gorgonzola, scallops and a side dish of baked potatoes or salad. Since I don't eat meat, I chose the fusilli and salad, I must say they are very good. So, if you pass through the center and don't want the usual sandwich, choose this place, it's worth it! 😉😉

16/03/2025: A restaurant with an atmosphere from times gone by, we had a Sunday lunch for 2 starting with 2 appetizers from the tavern with local specialities, really good, then a first course for me, also with homemade pasta and a second course for my partner, with meat cooked to perfection to finish with a classic dessert for 2, all really good!

18/03/2025: After reaching an important personal goal I decided to pamper myself a bit and to do so I chose the Pirate to do so. And I did very well, a well-kept place with a wonderful view of Lake Bolsena, the staff very kind and always very attentive to the customer, an exquisite mixed starter where the cod in my opinion it was nothing short of delicious, for the first course on the advice of the owner/chef Giulio, histrionic and good, I chose the historic stricolo alla filibustiera, a dizzying slightly spicy crustacean cream, I made an encore, and then I was pampered with a fried calamari, prawns and cod, which I can tell you has a crunchiness of 10 and praise, an impeccable fried food so much so that I also requested an encore of the cod here too fried, "BABBOBUD style" french fries accompanied by a sauce recommended to me by a customer. Unfortunately I no longer had room for dessert, I will be back for that shortly. Highly recommended place. 15/02/2025: Discovered by chance while we were looking for something quick to eat before reaching the lake, excellent choice of particular and artisanal sandwiches but also platters with cold cuts, cheeses and bruschetta... We took 3 delicious sandwiches, the prices are low and the owners are super kind. I highly recommend it!

The environment was immediately welcoming and pleasant, perfect for an evening with friends. The service was one of the strong points: the staff was extremely punctual, attentive to our needs and generous with advice on the most suitable wine pairings for the dishes we had chosen. We had the opportunity to taste one of the house specialities, the Barzotto egg, a true delight for the palate: a particular dish, tasty and rich in flavour. Overall, the experience at La Quadra restaurant was very positive. This is a place that I highly recommend to anyone who is in Tarquinia, both for business dinners and other convivial occasions. The welcoming environment, impeccable service and the quality of the food make it an excellent choice for a pleasant and tasteful evening.
