It's not just a restaurant, it's a slice of authentic Bologna, where the hospitality is a given and quality is uncompromising. The first courses are simply sublime. Tortellini in broth taste like home, and tagliatelle with ragù are expertly prepared. The selection of second courses and side dishes is also excellent, with generous portions and the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is rustic, informal, and lively. It's the ideal place for an evening with friends or a relaxed dinner where you'll immediately feel at ease, surrounded by an atmosphere brimming with history and personality. The quality-price ratio is fair. Finding such refined cuisine at such reasonable prices in the city is not a given. If you want to experience a true Bolognese osteria, off the beaten track and with an authentic soul, Satyricon is the place to be. Highly recommended!

19/02/2026: A typical Bolognese trattoria where you can eat really well and cheaply. The passatelli with prosciutto, sautéed artichokes, and pecorino mousse are highly recommended. They were out of this world, but I thought all the first courses on the menu were excellent.

Impeccable service, and the two owners are truly talented. Honorable mention for the coconut cake with purple potato mascarpone. If you're in the area, a stop is a must!

26/02/2026: We went for lunch on a Sunday in February. We ate outside, it wasn't cold at all, and we had an artichoke salad that I highly recommend. It was one of the best we've ever eaten. The baked potatoes were truly delicious, and the pasta with Bolognese sauce was plentiful and tasty. We had a great time, and the price was reasonable. RECOMMENDED YES.

22/02/2026: The mussels in the seafood rice I ordered were spoiled. I got diarrhea after eating—on the train to Germany! Don’t eat here. When I told them the food wasn’t fresh, they offered to replace it with the same dish, but I felt too sick to eat. Not recommended.

08/03/2026: An unforgettable experience of taste and view We visited this restaurant last night and were immediately struck by its extraordinary impact: the location is stunning and offers a breathtaking view that, alone, is worth the visit. We were a group of friends (two couples and a friend), and the welcome was impeccable: the staff and the atmosphere immediately proved extremely friendly, making us feel at ease. The cuisine: local and passionate We began by sharing a variety of appetizers. An honorable mention goes to the giardiniera: despite its simplicity, it exudes all the flavor of local produce and a passion for the region. It was a promising start and did not disappoint. For the main courses, we split: The grill: The rest of the group shared two Florentine steaks, masterfully cooked and tender as butter. My choice: I preferred to focus on seasonal flavors, enjoying a superb seasonal first course followed by a masterfully cooked wild boar. Despite the generous portions, the quality was such that I finished everything with extreme satisfaction. Drink and finish on a high note We paired our dinner with their own wine, a deliberate choice that proved to be a perfect fit and consistent with the restaurant's philosophy. To finish on a sweet note, the panna cotta was the icing on the cake: delicious and with the perfect consistency. The verdict: An excellent experience not only for the food and the view, but also for the quality-price ratio, truly competitive given the high-quality ingredients.

24/02/2026: The view is stunning and breathtaking, especially at sunset. There are three adorable kittens. The service is friendly and polite, and the owner is helpful and friendly. The food is good; although the menu is limited, it's very well-curated and well-prepared. I had a great time, and the air is also very cool. Perhaps the only downside is that it's not exactly easy to get to, but I think this is a minor inconvenience for enjoying a lovely dinner at this restaurant!

The atmosphere is simple and authentic, the kind of place where you feel like you’re eating where the locals eat, not in a touristy restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. I ordered Tagliatelle al Ragù Bolognese, and it was very tasty, with a rich and well-balanced sauce typical of the local cuisine. The portion was generous and the value for money was very good. It’s a great place for a relaxed meal after walking around the city. If you’re visiting Bologna and want to try traditional Italian food in an authentic setting, this place is definitely worth a stop.

07/03/2026: The location is beautiful, both inside and out. Every detail is carefully thought out, from the tables, seating, lighting, to the plating and cutlery. The menu draws on tradition but reinterprets it with elegance, offering tastefully updated dishes. Everything is delicious: the bread from the Brisa bakery, the gnocchetti, the meat, but also the desserts and wines. The prices are a bit high, but in line with the type of restaurant and the overall quality. My only regret is that I came for a particular dish, but the menu had just changed—a shame! Overall, a great experience.

15/02/2026: The quality at Serra Sole is always top-notch!!! I returned after being there in July, and it remains a sure thing. Expertly prepared dishes, impeccable service, and a welcoming location. A place I love returning to, to find what's hard to find elsewhere!!!

08/12/2025: I went today and finally got to experience "grandma's" home cooking again. The tortellini with parmesan cream were excellent, as were the balanzoni, as was the mixed grill, which was quite good. To finish, a refreshing mascarpone with chocolate shavings. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back again.

30/01/2026: What can I say? I ate wonderfully. Finally, I paid for a cover charge that truly deserves to be called such, in a refined and pleasant, slightly shabby chic setting. We shared dishes; the fregola, the prawns, and the mixed fried fish were delicious. Excellent service, and the price was fair for this type of restaurant. I can't wait to return.
