20/07/2025: The smell of sewer at the entrance and the regular customers were very rude. In fact, as soon as I entered, waiting to speak to a waiter, I left and left.

Lovely personality and great classic bolognese food. This and Trattoria via Serra were our top two restaurants in Bologna by far.

04/06/2025: My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Helvetia Hotel in Porretta Terme (31/05-01/06). The hotel is well-kept and elegant, as are the rooms, large and with attention to detail. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and helpful staff. The icing on the cake is the beautiful SPA, created from caves in an air raid shelter; a very suggestive environment, with soft lighting and background music, which makes everything romantic and relaxing.... open until 11:00 pm... the kit is available in the room, with: bathrobe, towel, slippers and cap. I can't wait to go back.... I RECOMMEND IT....

24/08/2025: Truly excellent pizzas, light dough, generous, high-quality toppings. There's not a lot of choice, but the options are all very well-crafted: we had a mayor's pizza with delicious anchovies and a diavola with plenty of 'nduja and spianata calabra. Impeccably clean behind the counter, quick and friendly service, and more than fair prices. A good place to return whenever you're craving excellent Neapolitan pizza. They also do takeout.

05/09/2025: A special restaurant just outside San Lazzaro. A fabulous location, just like the food. Stefania, the owner, and Elisa, her daughter, are wonderful restaurateurs, making you feel pampered from appetizer to dessert. Sublime products. I will definitely return and highly recommend it. 24/08/2025: Wow. We stumbled across Caffe Maxim during our trip Bologna. It’s was a wonderful evening and the vibe at this bar, which is situated centrally was perfect. The bar staff were so welcoming, and it quickly became clear that the mixologist (Bianca) was of a high calibre. We ordered a variety of cocktails and mocktails drinks throughout the evening such a Dirty Martini’s, Banana Joe and Mojitos and each one was fantastic. We’re looking forward to a return visit. This bar is the perfect destination bar and a must if your planning to explore the Bologna nightlife🔥🔥🔥

12/09/2025: We had a very pleasant evening and the food was delicious. We were eager to try the typical Bolognese sauce near Bologna, and we were not disappointed. The chef is super friendly, and thanks to Google Translate, we communicated perfectly. The grilled meat was also a dream, and we will definitely be back for a piece of Florentine meat. The atmosphere is very cozy. We felt very comfortable.

Every proposal on the menu is taken care of down to the smallest details: the cocktails like the mojito and the spritz are very fresh, perfect for a summer evening with friends. The creative desserts like the affogato are really special, and the tiramisu is delicious. Even though our Italian is not perfect yet, we wanted to practice it and the owner was very kind, speaking to us in Italian with a lot of patience and courtesy. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended, 5 full stars!

16/06/2025: It's the third time I've been there and it never disappoints. I think it's a place for many but not for everyone. Trust the guys, they know what they're doing and their expertise is enormous. As for the quality, I think we can't judge but only appreciate the flavor and let the guys tell us the scents of the food. I recommend the tartare, especially the smoked one, the top appetizers, we tried the friarielli with polenta and they were delicate and delicious. The choice of wine was recommended to us: a very well-structured and particular Trebbiano. The owner is the "weapon" of the place, he loves his job and passes it on to the guys and the diners. I repeat that the place is for many but not for everyone, you have to know how to appreciate authenticity.

08/08/2025: Very nice and well-kept atmosphere, recently renovated. The food is very good and carefully prepared, and the service is equally as good. Everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

20/08/2025: We visited this wonderful place twice. It's a completely simple restaurant with soul – the dishes are simple but delicious. The pasta is perfect, full of flavor. The service is so charming and kind that spending an evening there is a pure pleasure. Not to mention the ridiculously low prices compared to similar places. I highly recommend it.

20/08/2025: This is where you can get some authentic Italian cuisine in Bologna! What a delightful experience. We loved it so much, we went twice. A few must try dishes: the Bolognese obviously, tagliatelle with ragu, the sizeable bruschetta. Everything was fresh, the service was prompt (especially the older gentleman who went out of his way). True authentic, unpretentious Italian food all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend them. Thank you!

28/08/2025: Finger food (from the Romagna nearby historical region) at its best just around the corner from the beautiful Santo Stefano square. Piadine how they should be, tradition and innovation, inspiration and style. Glad it never changed so much since my university time there. Thank you!

26/08/2025: One of the best piadinas in Bologna! Hidden among the narrow streets behind the Church of Santo Stefano, a 10-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, it surprises with the quality of its products, its vast selection, and, most importantly, the option to build your own piadina from scratch, even choosing the dough. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who don't want to try the usual commercial products sold in the historic center.

28/08/2025: Yesterday around 12:00, I asked if it was possible to have a birthday cake for late afternoon. Even though I was fully aware that my request was a last-minute one, they granted it. We enjoyed the best mille-feuille cake I've ever eaten. The front line was extremely polite, courteous, and helpful. The price was in line with the big names, but the product quality was significantly superior. Being a pastry chef is a very difficult and sometimes tiring job, but passion is the added value that drives reviews like this. It will be a pleasure to visit you again. Best wishes.

04/07/2025: A good bar/pastry shop with a nice display of brioches and pastries (they also fill the Sicilian cannoli wafer on the spot). Tastefully furnished and well protected from the heat by its position under the portico. Prices are normal. I would have liked a little more kindness and smiles from the staff, all female.

24/07/2025: A delightful, simple, and authentic place. It's reminiscent of a bistro with delicate, feminine touches. Good cuisine, from meat to vegetarian dishes, and fried appetizers. The menu is seasonal and fresh, like the dishes themselves. We had lunch as a couple, and the place was perfect for conversation, unhurriedly. Very pleasant.

21/07/2025: I recently visited Afridita Giardino, a place with enormous potential but neglected and lacking love. Uncomfortable chairs, plastic cups, a dusty garden that's unkempt, except for the excellent food. Service is poor; it's practically self-service.
