30/07/2024: Very pleasant setting, very friendly and attentive people. The food is delicious. A great place if you want to eat well and eat locally. Very good value for money. Little extra: slightly away from the tourist influx.

18/07/2024: Quiet relaxing bistrot with some of the friendliest staff I've come across in my travels. I was impressed by my food, first a delicious ratatouille followed by a sausage pasta special that I also found delicious and all very reasonably priced. Lovely details in the handmade menus. A beautiful little restaurant that makes me want to return to Bologna.

04/07/2024: We found this small but perfectly formed sandwich shop and had the best mortadella sandwich and beer. There’s no need for a huge menu when the basics are this good! There are lots of regulars stopping by and the wine and champagne are clearly everyone’s favourite! Cheese from Naples was fantastic. Don’t bother with the larger cafes and restaurants for brunch/lunch/snacks - this is the place you need to go to.

04/08/2024: La bottega del Franco is a restaurant in the heart of residential Bologna. A mix of Bolognese traditions and top-level special fish cuisine. I ate the best risotto ever with tuna steak, prawns and courgette flowers, a truly special and super filling dish! The desserts are interesting and unique, the ice cream made by them is very very good. Super service and normal prices for this level. We will definitely be back.

26/07/2024: My wife and I have had different experiences. I ate well, she didn't. The starter with brioche and creamed cod was excellent, a perfect balance between sweet and savory. The black rigatoni with courtyard ragù was good. The roasted octopus was too salty. The hazelnut filled cream puff was excellent, the meringue dessert was too sweet, according to my wife. The place is nice and welcoming, the prices high but not too much. For a starter, a first course, a second course, 2 glasses of wine, a water, 2 desserts and 2 coffees, we spent 108 euros, which in my opinion is a fair price.

10/08/2024: A precious, welcoming place where my wife and I feel like and even better than at home. The staff were very kind, attentive and thoughtful. Then what about the two magnificent brothers, owners of the place? Exquisite in welcoming you and in the attention they put in offering you their delicious dishes. They immerse you as if in a virtual journey to the most beautiful Naples, the one with your heart in your hand, true, and so beautiful that it moves you. I may be biased but for me it is the number one place in Bologna for fish and more. I, a great lover of sweets, would eat them all because they are delicious, very fresh and a paradise for the sweet tooth's palate. It's a shame there are only 5 stars available because I would give it 10. Michelemma' forever

03/07/2024: Praised by industry sites as one of the best pizzerias in Bologna, I didn't find anything exceptional, a tiny bruschettina with butter and anchovies, a napoli with little mozzarella and a bologna (mortadella and baked potatoes) that were normal. Good and well-leavened dough, filling to be improved. Quick and courteous service, environment to be re-established. Prices in line with the city. Lots of name, little substance.

14/08/2024: We stopped for a couple of drinks, the atmosphere is welcoming and immediately under the towers there is a suggestive setting, The barman is extremely knowledgeable and we left it up to him to choose the cocktails and what can I say... perfect combinations and excellent alcohol on the list, extremely recommended!

01/09/2024: Food quality above average. The 7-course formula with fresh, freshly picked products is a winner! 4 amazing starters, first excellent, second sublime. And the Sweet…. CRAZY! we ate plenty and then the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend it to everyone. It wasn't the first time I came and I will definitely be back. Really congratulations 🎉

24/08/2024: It's rare that I post reviews, but when I decide to do so it's because the place requires a special one. Let me start by saying that I have been to Casetta Magli a couple of times for lunch with relatives and dinner with my husband. It is not easy to get there and this could represent a limitation except that once you arrive you are welcomed with such kindness that you forget the journey you have taken. The place is ideal for romantic dinners, family lunches or any event you want to celebrate. It is all surrounded by greenery on a sort of terrace. There is live music that absolutely does not overpower, but rather delicately accompanies each dish of your tasting. The menu includes seven specific courses, which vary from time to time, at the price of 33 euros excluding drinks and blankets. Dishes cooked well and with successful particular combinations. There is also some excellent house wine. The staff is cheerful and ready to make you have a wonderful experience. I recommend you pop in and try!
