12/08/2025: The chef is a charming guy, and his dishes perfectly convey a carefully crafted culinary journey. The dining room was served admirably by a mother and daughter, who deserve compliments for their hospitality. Recommended.

We chose the tasting menu "The journey", a journey through smells, colors, aromas, flavors of worlds near and far, of history and culture, of harmony and beauty. And when you get to the end, you already know that you will return because that "journey" cannot be forgotten. Chef Paolo Gramaglia, his wonderful wife and all the staff are an authentic excellence of the territory.

19/06/2025: An absolute gem of a sandwich shop. We went twice and the sandwiches were delicious. The two ladies running the shop couldn’t have been nicer. A must if you’re in Sorrento.

18/06/2025: Came here thanks to my daughter and TikTok 🤦🏼‍♂️. 45 minute wait in line to order then another 35 minutes to get it. But Food was excellent and worth the wait. The staff is friendly and fun singing along with the great playlist - keeps it lively met lots of nice people in line. Note: VERY limited seating! One small hack- download their app (extra 2€ per sandwich) and order ahead of time - pick it up at your convenience, however, you cannot order the classic hot sandwiches on the app …..that should probably be fixed but otherwise excellent.

19/07/2025: Family lunch to celebrate a birthday. Quiet and elegant atmosphere. Excellent, attentive and precise service. Extensive wine list. I chose a Val d'Aosta wine that was in the cellar but not chilled; it was immediately chilled and served at the perfect temperature. We started with prosecco and a complimentary entree, an appetizer consisting of a trio of fish and a very good seafood risotto. The other diners were also pleased with their choices. Good value for money; I definitely recommend it.

13/07/2025: Éste era el lugar más relajado, elegante y hermoso de toda Pompeya. Excelentes opciones de comida y servicio. Ubicado cerca de la estación de tren, tenía mis dudas pero alguien de la oficina de turismo me lo recomendó encarecidamente... desde el momento en que entré me trataron como a una reina... no vengas aquí si tienes prisa porque fue la comida más relajante y de ritmo lento... perfecto después de un vuelo apresurado y un paseo en resina. Recordaré este lugar y a todas las personas que conocí.

01/09/2025: This was by far the best meal we had in Sorrento. Nestled just steps from Tasso Square, Caruso Museo is a true hidden gem- it’s tucked away from the tourist bustle yet right in the heart of town. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The service was impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive, and every detail was carefully thought through. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and even more delicious than we could have imagined. The flavors were refined, perfectly balanced, and worthy of its Michelin recognition. The ambiance added to the charm, elegant, intimate, and full of character. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Sorrento, skip the tourist traps and treat yourself to Caruso Museo. It’s an absolute must-visit and a meal we’ll be talking about for years to come.

31/08/2025: The food was fabulous, traditional and tasty. The service on point. It feels like you’re stepping back into the 1950s in a great way.

20/05/2025: They don't take reservations, but this place is completely worth any wait. If the line is long, grab a drink from the store next door while you wait. To start we had prosciutto and melon, its sweetnes perfectly balancing the salty prosciutto. Also had the bufalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, which were some of the best bocconcini all trip. After appies, my wife went with the seabream in white lemon sauce, and I went with the spaghetti in an anchovie sauce with lemons. When in sorrento you must try the lemon pastas and this one is fantastic. For dessert, we had the richest and creamiest cannoli we have ever had. It was so good. We also had the lemon cake, which we would have every night if possible. This place seems best suited for 2 people. If your group is larger, you may have to wait until two tables beside each other become available at the same time so they can be put together.

19/05/2025: När jag var ute och undersökte staden första dagen så passerade jag detta ställe och kände igen namnet, av en händelse så öppnade man precis så det var inget problem att få en plats på uteserveringen. Snabb och korrekt service med glimten i ögat och härligt liv och rörelse i gränden där restaurangen ligger gjord lunchen till en fröjd. Jag åt en magisk gnocchi (som jag tyvärr glömt namnet på) innehållande bl.a. torkat sidfläsk, nötter och krutonger och en stor balja Aglianico till och bara njöt. Superupplevelse både gällande smak, pris och service, missa inte!

05/09/2025: Honestly, this place is truly a hidden gem! Incredible value for the amount of food we got. We started with mussels swimming happily in a tomato oil broth, then dove into a “rabbit-less” rabbit pasta and a surprisingly not too hearty Ischian bean pasta. All superb—highly recommend

02/09/2025: We went there one evening with the family, having followed the recommendations on the internet, and we were not disappointed! The place can go unnoticed when you pass by in the street, but not its cuisine or its atmosphere! You can see that it is a well-known and sought-after address despite its small size. We had a starter and a main course each, and my husband's choices were to die for! Tuna tartare with exotic fruits and spaghetti with white meat ragout. They were lovely and offered us a very small appetizer as well as a small glass of limoncello. We recommend it!

02/09/2025: Excellent burger, made with select meats and superbly seasoned! I personally chose the Americano, highly recommended! A tip for the restaurant is to add a side of potatoes to the price of the dish!

23/08/2025: We stopped for lunch by the sea, and it was worth it. Excellent, from the appetizers to the first courses, and finally a fried fish platter. Everything was delicious. Polite and attentive service. Prices are in line with those on the coast.

21/08/2025: For at least fifteen years, I've had the pleasure of stopping for lunch or dinner at this excellent restaurant, which has never betrayed my trust. Indeed, it's a crescendo of quality, courtesy, and helpfulness. Excellent value for money, with truly excellent seafood dishes and extraordinary service, especially from Gelsomina and Dario, not to mention Stefania's excellent coffee. Raffaele and Antonino complete the picture with their beach service. In a word: TOP

22/08/2025: So so good!! Perfect if you're after a quick bite but don't fancy the regular sandwich. The products are super fresh, they cut the meat in front of you and you can see the different varieties in the window. The staff is nice and even let me add pesto in my focaccia for no extra:))

Traditional Neapolitan cuisine takes center stage: every dish we tried was carefully prepared, rich in flavor, and made with quality ingredients. The passion and love for tradition are evident in every course. A special mention goes to the dessert, which ended the evening perfectly: delicious, beautifully presented, and absolutely unforgettable. I highly recommend Osteria La Chitarra to anyone who wants a true Neapolitan experience in an authentic and convivial atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
