24/09/2025: We asked if we could have a glass of wine and were seated at a table near the entrance. The place was fairly busy. We waited about fifteen minutes, and no waiter, despite passing by our table several times right at the entrance, stopped to take our order or interacted with us. So we decided to leave without anyone saying anything. Not recommended due to the service.

10/06/2025: I'm from Matera but I've lived outside for many years. I emphasize this because going to Anna's means tasting the TRUE FLAVORS OF LUCAN. Out of this world lasagna, broad beans and chicory, orecchiette turnip tops, fried breadcrumbs and crusco. Braciole, sausages and so on and so forth. It's all stratospheric! Well done and kind ❤️

03/10/2025: Excellent traditional Matera cuisine. Easy to find thanks to the nearby multi-story parking lot, and fair prices. I definitely recommend the sheep pignatello served in a bread cup.

14/10/2025: The restaurant is a bit out of the way, so it's nice to eat outside. The food is well-presented and of good quality. The service is excellent, and they accept dogs!

14/10/2025: I came for lunch with a friend. Nice place, average atmosphere. Service was sterile and dull, both at the reception and at the table. The food was good, but nothing that particularly impressed me. The numerous positive reviews on Google created unrealistic expectations for the experience. I wouldn't return.

06/10/2025: It's worth deviating a bit from the main road for the best panini we've had in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the tiramisu made by the owner is one of the best we've had in the region. Definitely a place worth recommending :)

18/09/2025: I was very happy with my experience at this restaurant. The service is fantastic. The people are so nice, I could eat there every day. If you want to eat dishes that Italians eat at home, this is the place. Traditional, homemade Italian food. It's beautiful. I had spaghetti Matera. The pasta and sauce were just right. The olives were the best in the world. You can sprinkle it with Parmigiano Reggiano. In Poland, when we like something, we say "Yummy." It is "Yummy." Through the glass separating the kitchen from the dining room, I glimpsed a close-knit team, smiling, orderly, and impeccably clean: silence, precision, harmony—almost a dance that contributed to the truly magical atmosphere. The restaurant, carved into the Matera tuff rock, is an architectural spectacle: intimate, elegant, and authentic. Every detail exudes passion and respect for the land that hosts it. Donato's wine selection is an exciting journey through Basilicata and Europe, with perfect pairings that enhance each dish, showcasing the finest ingredients and creativity. An experience to be relived and re-lived many times in a lifetime, because in places like this, time stands still, and taste becomes pure emotion. We'll definitely be back!

04/10/2025: What a treasure in Matera. Beautiful delicious food, pretty setting, friendly and attentive service. Great value, too. Loved the wine pairings and the concept of being able to assemble your own tasting menu. Chef is in the kitchen himself. The Michelin star is well deserved.

02/09/2025: Excellent restaurant in the village of Colobraro. You can enjoy local cuisine at an excellent price, starting with a plate of bread drizzled with the restaurant owner's high-quality olive oil. For two, we spent €54 including: appetizers, a first course each, a quarter of wine, water, a shared dessert, a liqueur, and coffee. Very friendly staff. Inside, you can also see the old olive mills.

08/10/2025: We were very happy that we stumbled into this restaurant, and that it was open during the siesta time . Very friendly, great atmosphere, the food was very very good. What I love the most- the burger was without the bun. Great!!!! And fried potatoes were absolutely delicious
