26/07/2025: The restaurant is located on one of the main streets in the lower part of the Sassi di Matera. Inside, the architecture is unique, the restaurant is tastefully furnished, and the staff are very courteous and friendly, all in a truly authentic atmosphere. The menu, in my opinion, can be overwhelming: although all the dishes obviously draw on traditional elements, the pairings really pique your curiosity and appetite, so you'll want to try everything! The wine list is simple and quite refined, with the option of drinking local wines from both well-known and lesser-known producers at very reasonable markups. The owner is a true host, although he told us he stumbled upon this adventure somewhat by chance. He speaks several languages, is knowledgeable, attentive, and never intrusive. The other staff in the dining room were also excellent, and of course the chef and his team. We spent a wonderful family evening at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it, especially because the restaurant manages to stand out from all the others around it, and there are many!

14/08/2025: I recommend trying the focaccia materana with stracciatella. They also serve food at unconventional times; we had lunch here around 4 pm without any problems. Overall, everything was delicious; I highly recommend coming here.

15/07/2025: The real star of the restaurant, in my opinion, is the manager: Donato. Knowledgeable, kind, sociable, fun, and never intrusive. Tasty, complex, and well-crafted dishes. Fast and accurate service. The only negative: in my opinion, the prices are above average (compared to 1-star restaurants), undoubtedly due to the cost of the location—which, however, is certainly very beautiful and evocative.

09/07/2025: Outstanding. Our dinner here was the cherry on the Materna trip cake. Not for nothing is this a Michelin star restaurant. Very nicely located in the Sassi district in one of the caves. We had the 8 course full menu which was exceptionally good. Nicely curated dishes of huge variation, always referring to the South Italian heritage and Materna. The staff is super kind and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Huge wine menu and good recommendations. A very memorable experience from the starters to the dessert (try the Monte Crusko!)

07/08/2025: First of all, congratulations on the kindness of the staff and owners. I haven't tasted such a good pizza in a long time. Then we had potatoes stuffed with sausage, mushrooms, crusco peppers, and turnips. Everything was delicious and the prices were affordable. I'll be back often.

If you want to taste local ingredients, depending on season, prepared and cocked at high level this is a place you must visit. The Marro is made with interiors of sheep, amazing: don’t think you can find anywhere else. Cocked this way. Pasta selection is great and fave with cicoria is an appetiser that will set you for dinner. I saw a spectacular dish on tables near me that is the Pignata. Next time I go I will try some. Menu is rich and you do not go wrong any option you pick. Service is friendly and smooth. Waiting time is just perfect. Restrooms are clean and neat. Overall experience is high level and final price per person is amazingly fair! Thumbs up for Stano!

01/06/2025: Everything was amazing. My husband and I shared a colt cut board, wine and spaguetti with seafood. The waitress was really nice and the food was bomb!

10/06/2025: I'm from Matera but I've lived outside for many years. I emphasize this because going to Anna's means tasting the TRUE FLAVORS OF LUCAN. Out of this world lasagna, broad beans and chicory, orecchiette turnip tops, fried breadcrumbs and crusco. Braciole, sausages and so on and so forth. It's all stratospheric! Well done and kind ❤️

06/07/2025: Heading to Puglia, we stopped in Tricarico for a relaxing lunch break. The place was simple, quiet, fresh and very clean. We had a delicious cream of broad beans with vegetables for an appetizer (delicious fresh bread made locally), tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and an exquisite sliced ​​veal. The almond and berry semifreddo was also delicious. At the end of lunch, the owner also gave us some fresh water for the journey, which turned out to be providential given the 42 degrees in Basilicata and an accident that extended the journey. We thank the owner and recommend a stop in the beautiful village of Tricarico at Zi'Rocc

17/08/2025: ✨LUXURIOUS ✨ Yes, luxurious is the most fitting word for this wonderful restaurant. As with all locations in the Sassi of Matera, unfortunately, pedestrian access isn't the best, so be careful of climbs, descents, and steps. Especially if you have injuries, disabilities, very young children, or anything else, this is unfortunately not a place I would recommend. Also pay attention to GPS directions, which often take you close to your destination but not precisely to your destination. That said, the place is truly enchanting, located practically opposite the Rupestrian Church of Santa Maria di Idris, a beautiful monument in itself, which, along with the rest of the setting, practically becomes a nativity scene at night. When booking, I really appreciated the ability to specify any requests in the notes, from allergies or intolerances to a seat on the terrace, which I highly recommend. Obviously, this is a restaurant that is at its best in the evening; by choosing a table outside, you can fully enjoy the experience. Another convenience was being able to change the reservation time online up to 10 minutes in advance. This "digital" service, I must say, is very well managed, avoiding unnecessary phone calls and bad moods. The food is truly excellent, with refined and sophisticated dishes. BE CAREFUL: a minimum of three courses per person is mandatory, which will set you back around €80 per person, so be careful about this detail, which is often discovered once you're seated and reading the menu. The waiters' courtesy and kindness were quite good, although in a place like this, I would suggest paying more attention to your bearing, your attire, and especially wearing white gloves to better reflect the beauty of the place. Some things seem obvious to me, but unfortunately, Matera isn't yet fully ready to make this leap, precisely because people get lost in the details that make the difference. In conclusion, if you love beautiful places, luxury, landscapes, and good food, this is a place for you. Your wallet may cry, but oh well, sometimes it's okay. Treat yourself.

28/06/2025: 1 GIUGNO INVITATI AL MATRIMONIO diTARULLI ,(,da premettere che 34 anni fa mi sposai io in questo stesso posto) un pranzo dalla a alla z tutto ottimo come sempre nulla da invidiare ad altri posti, piatti gustosi e abbondanti e non parliamo se qualcuno cia qualche richiesta come noi che abbiamo abinato al tutto un po di spaghetti allo scoglio con quei bis di primi secondi ecc, tutti innafiato con prosecco doc e champagn ferrari ,e dopo dolci torte gelati e crep non poteva mancare la spaghettata finale deliziata dal nostro chef. grazie gino e grazie a franco che ci coccola sempre x farci stare bene in compagnia ed allegria

17/06/2025: Located in an area called Pane e Vino, this hotel-restaurant with parking, swimming pool, wellness area and a beautiful well-kept garden is ideal for events but also for a relaxing stay. I was there for a wedding so I didn't see the rooms. Both the exterior and the interior are well-kept (it was renovated not long ago and you can see it). The food is good, both meat and fish dishes. The service is very attentive and helpful. I don't know the quality/price ratio but from what I've heard it is good. Also recommended for families with children.

03/09/2025: A great bistro. Fantastic food - fresh, full of flavours. Dish was simple but tasted like from upper level. Delicious! Great staff, professional and helpful. Nice view, quite and calm surrounds. My reccomendation!
