09/07/2025: Friendly and helpful staff, quality ingredients, excellent pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven. I also recommend the stuffed potatoes, in addition to the meat. Definitely worth a try.

01/07/2025: After a few days in Matera and having tried different places, Da Nico was our choice for the last night ( the only restaurant we repeated). We came hear as recommendation form a local trusted source, deemed very good quality and authentic. That is so true ! Everything we tried was delicious ( after having visited 12 out of 20 Italian regions, we have good reference ). The mix of typical Matera appetisers, different kinds of pasta, roster lamb, the tette delle monache, a delicious pastry originated here … all yummy !

01/07/2025: Located at the foot of the steps that descend from the cathedral, it is welcoming and very well-kept.. prepared and professional staff. Unfortunately the dishes were not up to the level of the rest.. tasteless, ski and shapeless... too far removed from the sculpted taste of the Italians to adapt to the American palate... shame. I hope they return to a culinary art that can be defined as such.

15/07/2025: Nos encontramos con este por casualidad, un pequeño restaurante y un saludo amable por el propietario que pensamos que probaríamos. Hemos estado comiendo en algunos restaurantes muy buenos en este viaje en Sicilia y la Italia continental esta pequeña joya era rica allí. Cada plato que comimos era fresco y un 10. No podía faltar el servicio o lo bueno, recomiendo encarecidamente que vaya allí, si volvemos a Matera nos aseguraríamos de comer aquí de nuevo.

14/07/2025: The food was bland, badly seasoned and it tasted like it was heated in a microwave. The staff don’t speak English and don’t even try to understand you, they just keep talking over you in Italian. I can’t recommend this place to anyone that speaks English and wants to have a good time.

29/05/2025: Simple but welcoming location. Homemade and typical local cuisine that in its simplicity did not disappoint the palate.

17/04/2025: The service is self-service, meaning you order at the counter and set glasses and cutlery yourself. When ready you go to get the plate, but in reality the kids are available to help. Very nice place, good food, only the sautéed chicory is a little tough, but tasty.

08/07/2025: Authentic gluten free Italian dinner - pizza & pasta was fresh and tiramisu was the best I’ve tasted, it’s a must try. Cute spot with great service. Was a little wait due to a few groups arriving at the same time but each group was catered for with care. Great people and amazing food!!

24/05/2025: We came here by chance and based on the reviews we went in. And what luck! The friendliness, the taste, the fantastic menu. We had a divine meal and will definitely come back when we are in the area again. For example, we had a fantastic mix of bruschetta.

03/07/2025: Nice place with musical atmosphere and good refrigeration. Friendly and attentive service that helps you choose between the types of pasta. We chose a salad to share and two pasta dishes, well cooked and presented. To drink, a local craft beer...we tried the dark and the light, which one is better!!! For dessert, a homemade tiramisu to share and a couple of iced coffees. Experience 💯 I recommend it!

30/06/2025: I would like to point out that the new management has been here for only 3 months and that all the NEGATIVE reviews are part of the old management that, most likely, made a bit of a mess. Tonight my wife and I ate some really excellent fish, and not only for the quality but also for the refinement of the dishes. The guy who served us was very nice and competent and the location was very soft and beautiful. GO WITHOUT TAKING TOO MUCH ACCOUNT OF THE 3.7 (Google review score)…YOU WILL BE SATISFIED!

22/06/2025: Luogo incantevole, curatissimo, si vede che c'è passione, poi siamo arrivati presto e abbiamo avuto il piacere di parlare con Claudio, persona splendida, che ci ha suggerito, oltre ad ottimi piatti, anche posti da visitare, ma passiamo al cibo, crusco da provare, grigliata sia di pesce che di carne di assoluto livello, ottima frittura, e pizza buonissima, opera del titolare insieme al fantastico giardino, prezzi giusti, ci torneremo sicuramente.
