08/11/2025: We had dinner here on a recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The pizza was one of the best I've had in Italy. Dino gave us great advice and was very friendly, attentive, and genuine. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

10/11/2025: Cozy local ristorante with very good food, good service and reasonable prices. We drove Matera to Potenza and saw a sign in crossroad "Irsina - uno dei piu belli borghi in Italia" and decided to for sunday lunch there. It was very good decision!

27/10/2025: The restaurant is located in the busy Piazza del Sedile, and we stopped for dinner by chance. The somewhat retro style of the place might please some vintage fans. There were two of us and we ordered a pizza and a second course: the pizza arrived with only some of the requested ingredients, while the second course, listed on the menu as "roasted suckling pig with roast sugo" (roasted pork with roast sugo), consisted of two thin slices of pork with an unidentifiable sauce drizzled with balsamic vinegar (it all seemed to have been reheated in the microwave). After asking about the missing ingredients on the pizza, they were brought to us on a separate plate just after the meal was over. Furthermore, despite there being two of us dining, the dishes were brought to us 15 minutes apart, as they had to be eaten "separately" to prevent them from getting cold. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

12/11/2025: BEAUTIFUL STRUCTURE, FANTASTIC AND HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF, THE OWNER IS VERY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY PERSON, EXCELLENT QUALITY OF THE FOOD, VERY HOMEMADE AND 0 KM PRODUCTION, MINIMUM WAITING TIMES EVEN WITH A LOT OF CROWDS IN THE DINING ROOM, I AM HERE FOR BUSINESS BUT IT IS A PLACE WORTH RETURNING TO, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I WOULD SAY THE BEST EVEN WITH REGARD TO THE PIZZERIA, THE PIZZA CHEF AND THE OWNER HIMSELF AND AS A NEAPOLITAN I TELL YOU THAT THE PIZZA IS EXCELLENT.

12/11/2025: Welcoming structure, excellent food, the owner of the structure is a very good person, exquisite food to lick your lips, very well-trained waiting staff, very polite and very friendly, not to mention the owner is a very good person available to satisfy the needs of the customers, not to mention the first courses all prepared by them. I would gladly return and above all I recommend it to those who want to eat home cooking.

28/09/2025: Risto pizza and grill: a mix for all tastes, from pasta dishes to meat dishes, to starters. Delicious desserts. Fast and excellent service.

01/12/2025: Sunday lunch, good and plentiful dishes. Efficient service. One fried fish is enough for two. The first courses are also very generous.

04/11/2025: From the outside, it's not very inspiring. Upon entering, I found a simple place with a very kind gentleman who welcomed me. I was with my husband, and we ate a hot and cold mixed antipasto for two, and scialatelli allo scoglio. Everything was good. Sometimes you don't always have to look at the outside. The price was reasonable.

05/11/2025: The best in Matera! Despite being in a busy area, they manage to offer a personal and friendly welcome. The food is excellent, tasty, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: Restaurant in the center of Matera. We had a wonderful dinner with excellent quality food and excellent service. Mario made our stay in the restaurant very pleasant! He pampered us with delicious dishes. I highly recommend it!

The atmosphere is relaxed, the service impeccable, everyone extremely kind and professional, and the food is excellent in terms of quality and preparation! 02/12/2025: Exceptional restaurant! We only had one entree each, but it was enough to find the quality well above average, revealing the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the preparation. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely return. I definitely recommend it!!!

11/11/2025: Unfortunately, a huge disappointment! The staff was unfriendly and unmotivated. The interior wasn't very appealing. The food was okay – nothing special, and prepared without any care. A real shame!

09/11/2025: We chose this restaurant based on its good reviews and recommendations in the guidebook. Unfortunately, the incredibly inattentive and sometimes unfriendly service staff negatively impacted our dining experience. The two servers were standing right next to our table in the entrance area, and instead of paying attention to our guests, they were loudly watching YouTube videos on their phones. We were subjected to background music and the noise from two different phones. After we pointed this out, we were treated rudely. The way the meal was served felt more like an efficient processing of guests than a pleasant dining experience. The highlight was when, at the invitation of one of the waiters, a group of street musicians—who sadly didn't deserve the name—marched into the restaurant and played deafeningly loudly on their tin drums for five minutes, trying to get a few coins from the guests. It's a shame, because while the food was a bit overpriced, it was otherwise good. We won't be back.

28/08/2025: Over time, the welcome has deteriorated; it almost seems like they're doing you a favor by having you dine. We arrived at 9:10 PM, in the middle of summer, and anyway, if it was late, they could have said so and we would have gone somewhere else.

If we were late—we're talking 9:10 PM in the middle of summer—you could have told us and we would have gone elsewhere. We'll definitely be back and hope to find the same welcome we've always had in the past. Good luck.
