29/08/2025: Simplicity at last Finally, a casual place... exactly what you'd expect when driving along Highway 17 in the province of L'Aquila Among dozens of anonymous places that seem to no longer know how to fill plates but instead focus only on crafting complicated and artistic dishes, losing sight of the final substance, this restaurant stands out. I'm just talking about the potatoes... real, not frozen. The homemade giardiniera... But the pizza is thin... if you like it that way, it's perfect. Very fair prices... Really good.

02/09/2025: I discovered this restaurant almost by chance and it was a very positive experience. The gnocchi agli orapi and the grilled meat were excellent. The restaurant is located in the historic center of Barrea, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. The staff are very friendly. A good place for a stop.

29/08/2025: We went to Barrea to see the historic center of this wonderful village and were lucky enough to find a cancellation and take over three places we found on the spot. A delightful place, perhaps a little small, but where the music and typical Abruzzo dishes are presented in a modern way. The quality of the daily specials is excellent. You have to try the wonderful pink gnocchetti, the cazzarielli with beans, the pumpkin lasagna, and above all a fried cheese served with caramel and almonds that will blow your mind. Not to mention the delicious, soft meatballs. We were full and didn't manage to try anything else, but we'll be back. Our furry friends are welcome, and that makes all the difference.

07/09/2025: We booked last minute. Emanuele, the guy who told us he had a double room with twin beds, but when we arrived, he had a double bed waiting for us. Thank you so much! The room wasn't very well-maintained, but it was really clean and quiet. We decided to eat in the restaurant downstairs, and what can I say? It was truly amazing. I highly recommend the platter for two with all the local tastings, which features practically everything... a fair price! We'll be back!

21/08/2025: A fairly basic family-run place Fast service Food to forget We ask for a Cerasuolo and are persuaded to order it from the Damiani winery. It's served already opened on ice without being poured. After tasting, intrigued by the tart flavor, we discover it's a Rosé. We order gnocchi with saffron, shallots, and pancetta. They serve us rubbery, sticky, colorless gnocchi, completely dry with a bit of burnt pancetta. I ask for grated cheese and we're served industrial-strength packets of Grana Padano. I ask for an apple tart. The dish is definitely better, but it's incomplete. It should be served with a cream to make it softer. In short, an evening to forget.

The atmosphere is fantastic, welcoming, and meticulously crafted, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a special occasion. Highly recommended!

07/09/2025: We ate very, very well. Tagliatelle with venison and barley soup, then venison with Teroldego, which was exceptional!!! Good service.

17/08/2025: The hotel is in an excellent location near the highway and the town, with all amenities close by, yet immersed in the tranquility of the countryside with its pleasant sounds. The staff is very welcoming, kind, and always available. The owners immediately make you feel at ease. The room is always spotless and tidy. The restaurant is also excellent.

16/08/2025: Disgusting restaurant, never seen anything like it, shameful owners, rude waiter, despite having a reservation we waited over 2 hours, we were seated at 4 pm, ruined Ferragosto, decent dishes, stay away from this place!!!

30/07/2025: A fragrant bakery with very kind ladies who answer every question about the delicacies for sale. The red pizza is exquisite. The white pizza with pepperoni is delicious. The biscuits are excellent, but especially the maritozzi with cream and Chantilly cream. Amazing!
