04/06/2025: Visited for a couple's dinner. The intention was a meat-based dinner and the place was a real surprise. Showcase with the available cuts really well stocked and above all we were looked after with care, friendliness and professionalism. Tasted the Australian wagyu, the tarte tatin and the strawberry grape sorbet and ... we will definitely return to test the rest. Price adequate for the quality of the menu. There are certainly very positive Sardinian influences/contaminations in the place.

22/06/2025: We had a great time! Friendly and welcoming waiters. Refined and sophisticated food with a mix of “retro” flavors that encourages you to experiment and taste traditional local dishes. After dinner they invited us to browse their cellar and food shop (they are also open to the public during the day).

04/06/2025: YOU WON'T FIND AN INNIKE LIKE THIS ANYWHERE!!! We stayed at Gianfranco's in mid-May, unaware of where we were going; it was the best choice! A well-kept location and impeccably clean, rooms with every type of comfort (very comfortable beds) and tastefully furnished. The second icing on the cake is the attention that the owner gives to you and the needs of your stay. The cuisine is comparable to starred restaurants both for taste and quality, and for attention to detail, menus with typical Monviso and Piedmontese dishes with zero-mile vegetables from the property's garden, Gianfranco is also an expert wine enthusiast and boasts a cellar with an astonishing number of labels, he will surely be able to recommend the right one for your palate. Fabulous location at the foot of Monviso, convenient for anyone who wants to visit the area. Prices considering the type of service and honest quality! We will return without a shadow of a doubt!

26/04/2025: I went on April 25th we ate really well, for each course they changed the dish and between the first and second courses they changed the cutlery, you don't find this service in a restaurant and when they saw that the water jug ​​was almost empty they changed it for you

12/05/2025: A stone's throw from the terraglio, this little place offers the possibility of tasting excellent dishes in warm and welcoming rooms. Possibility to celebrate anniversaries in the large garden located behind the car park. Nice and friendly staff, very welcoming. Reservations are recommended, especially during the weekend when many may choose the restaurant for special occasions. Definitely worth it

12/05/2025: We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary yesterday and we couldn't have made a better choice. It was a wonderful party, everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail by the staff. Professional, kind, attentive as if they were part of the family themselves. The location is phenomenal, the outdoor aperitif with delicious and abundant "cicchetti". The attention to the needs of those who are gluten intolerant was impeccable. The lunch was exceptional as was the confetti and the cake (a masterpiece)! We danced, sang, rejoiced in an environment that we will not forget! 31/05/2025: Dopo anni, la qualità non è cambiata ed è sempre eccellente. Antipasti migliorabili, il resto OK. L'accoglienza è migliorata molto, la vecchia gestione era "stanca", dicevano spesso che non c'era posto, ma non era vero. Riuscivo a prenotare molto raramente. Una delle poche "locande con cucina" sopravvissute in Toscana.

31/05/2025: In settimana sono stato a cena da Egizio, con moglie e nipote. Finalmente, direi, perché - nonostante sia genovese e conoscessi per sentito dire le caratteristiche della pizza proposta - non avevo mai avuto occasione di andarvi, complice anche una innata "centro dipendenza" che orienta le mie scelte. Esprimo subito il mio giudizio: ho mangiato ottimamente ed ho passato una bella serata. Non vorrei però dilungarmi sulla pizza che mi aspettavo ottima e tale è stata: le nostre classicissime scelte hanno evidenziato un impasto perfetto, materie prime di qualità, cottura a puntino ed una leggerezza finale non frequente da rilevare. Desidero invece soffermarmi su alcuni particolari non meno importanti per me. Innanzitutto il bere che ha accompagnato la cena. Nelle pizzerie spesso purtroppo l'offerta non è delle migliori e questo aspetto fondamentale della ristorazione è sottovalutato. A noi è stato proposto un Dolcetto di Casa Prunotto (ultima vendemmia) armonico, ricco di aromi langaroli e di pronta beva quindi felicemente abbinabile alla pizza, piatto semplice per antonomasia. Ricarico, tra l'altro, del tutto ragionevole. Il dessert Margherita assolutamente espressione di haute cuisine ! In pratica una destrutturazione liquida di alcuni ingredienti della pizza (direi colatura di pomodoro, crema di formaggio, origano) sormontati da una porzione di panna cotta. Il piatto è accompagnato da forchetta (per spezzettare la panna cotta) e da cucchiaio (per gustare contemporaneamente tutti i sapori e quindi ottenere il mix dolce salato che è la vera chiave di volta del piatto stesso). Notevole davvero. Infine ho avuto il piacere di conoscere Simone, rappresentante dell'ultima generazione della famiglia che storicamente è titolare dell'attività, che impersona al meglio quanto scritto nel sito dell' esercizio: "Essere gourmet senza farlo pesare" ... Ci vedremo certamente dopo le imminenti vacanze (anche per gustare la birra artigianale di Langa di cui abbiamo parlato).

27/05/2025: Premise: very good pizzas (thin, quality ingredients and original combinations), special beers, friendly staff, reasonable bill. We book the second round, at 8:00 pm, we arrive on time. The pizzas - all 4 decidedly pale (mine quite cold, my husband's with the sauce a bit raw), not the size so much praised by those who had already been there but, I repeat, good - arrive at the table at 8:45 pm. We remain abandoned to ourselves until 9:30 pm (like half an hour after finishing the pizzas?), when the waiter comes asking us if we wanted anything else. We are about to order 1 more pizza but he interrupts us telling us that we wouldn't have time for more pizzas because there was the next round and, in any case, we would have had to hurry for dessert too and he leaves, without even giving us time to order coffees. We intercept another guy, we get the coffee, we get up, pay and leave. Now: we would have definitely taken at least 1 more pizza, 3 more beers and 4 desserts. Maybe, if the service had been "slightly" more prompt, we would have made it in time (even if a bit with the funnel?), they would have earned it and we would all have been happier. If the "justification" is the amount of customers to serve, I think the issue of shifts or at least the timing of the shift should be reviewed.

08/06/2025: “Fire warms hearts”, so says a phrase handwritten on the chimney flue, but I would say not only that… The heart can also be warmed by kindness, availability, professionalism, by the cuisine and by the excellent position enjoyed by the refuge and thanks to Cristina, Marco and their staff makes all this possible. We had a wonderful time, trust me, book a stay or simply come up and let your throat be tempted by Marco's delicacies. Thanks again for everything

17/06/2025: If you want to rest and relax, avoid this bathroom. 12:30 pm and music from the speakers that can be heard from the shore.... I ask to turn it down and I am told: we will take care of it immediately.... but nothing changes. Zero respect for the customer

02/05/2025: Tuvimos una noche encantadora en Al 588 – Adults Only. La ubicación es hermosa, creando el escenario perfecto para una noche relajante y agradable. El personal fue amable y atento durante toda la noche. Los precios están un poco por encima de la media, pero la experiencia general hace que valga la pena.
