We had dinner for two in December 2025, ordering two special pizzas from the
menu. The dishes were delicious, with top-notch ingredients and fantastic pairings. The pizza dough was very light.
Extremely courteous and professional staff.
I highly recommend this experience because Brigantino is TOP.

The service is fast and the atmosphere is very welcoming.
There's ample parking outside, so finding a spot shouldn't be a problem.
Vegetarian and gluten-free menus are also available.
I also recommend checking out the indoor Magia bar, which offers a wide selection of classic and proprietary drinks.

26/11/2025: After years of wandering, I've finally found a place worthy of a new food and wine review here, in my native Sicily, and by completely random chance, in what seemed like a classic case of chance and luck.
The map, and a completely random journey, lead us on this free day to Santa Lucia del Mela, a typical and characteristic Sicilian hilltop village, like many you'd find, with a dry riverbed alongside it, numerous churches towering over the town, and a castle-turned-monastery dominating the fertile Milazzo area. If the fresh mountain air and the view stretching across the Aeolian Islands, the cape, and the sea are enough to make you stop here, along with a characteristic sanctuary dedicated to Santa Maria della Neve, the restaurant is what we'll be talking about, and here too, it's the result of complete chance. When we asked for our first recommendation, we discovered that the place we were initially recommended was installing a new kitchen, so it would be open in the evenings. We asked for a second place, which turned out to be closed for renovations as well. The waiter, with great humility and kindness, directed us to a third place just outside town, a B&B/trattoria/pizzeria called "La Pergola."
The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a place that's a mix between agritourism and a B&B: rustic, beautiful, and elegant. The trattoria's interior is also impressive, combining a solid, white, and clean structure with reminders of ancient Sicilian farming traditions, from the exposed tools to the "lamps," a meticulously crafted blend of wood and white. The staff is extremely kind and friendly, in a family-run atmosphere where you almost feel more like a guest than a customer, but... it's about the food.
First piece of advice: don't overestimate your skills. When we talk about generous portions, we're talking about true abundance, the typical Sicilian kind, and even a person, no matter how good of a eater, struggles to eat the recommended appetizer and first course or appetizer and second course. There's a reason the waitress recommends these two options. Don't overdo it; it's impossible to eat appetizer, first course, and second course.
Second: enjoy the meal to the fullest, without cell phones or anything else, because it's an experience worth living and savoring, a gastronomic journey to be savored.
High-quality, seasonal food, cooked by expert hands that instill love in every single dish, turning simple ingredients into works of art—not the "gourmet" kind, reduced to flavors of other things, but true works of art, the kind you remember your grandmothers making. While I also recommend the first courses, and while every dish is highly worthy, the ravioli in particular deserve an honorable mention and will likely be the focus of my next visit, my gold medal goes to the sweet and sour rabbit, with its smooth, exquisite flavor that almost melts in your mouth. A blend of flavors makes it a heavenly experience, unparalleled, a unique, wild, and transcendental taste, prepared according to tradition. If you find yourself touring Sicily, perhaps on your way to the Aeolian Islands, or if you're passing near Milazzo, stop by this B&B and visit them. You'll thank me.

17/08/2025: There's a very positive energy at Piemontesine... a mix of the magical atmosphere of the place and the village and the professionalism of Chatlotte, Jerome, and the other people I met there. The facility is very beautiful, well-kept, clean, and the welcome is exceptional. I have a golden retriever who is more than welcomed... spoiled with cuddles! And who has fallen in love with the woods. Thank you for the wonderful experience!! Paola and Leo🐾

30/11/2025: Last night, we had a wonderful experience at Chef Filippo Saporito's Leggenda Dei Frati. The venue is simply enchanting, located inside Villa Bardini and boasting a breathtaking view of the city. Hard work, research, and thoughtfulness create a wealth of flavor. The cuisine is deeply rooted in the local area, and the wine selection is the result of long and meticulous dedication. Some courses are already missing as soon as you finish them, but the crescendo of flavors in each dish makes you want to see what else the chef will delight you with. The bread, too, is incredible, masterfully presented in all its forms, creating the perfect pairing with the dishes. The desserts are simply a triumph of flavor.
Every detail of the dishes exudes love and care. An experience truly worth experiencing.
11/10/2025: I cannot, in good conscience, give this restaurant a good rating. This is the worst Michelin-star experience I’ve encountered; in fact, it’s the most disappointing meal of my entire trip to Italy. The presentation is beautiful, but the flavors missed the mark completely.
The sweet shrimp dish is the only one I somewhat enjoyed, but it was merely scraps in the soup. It feels ridiculous to be served such a minimal portion for such an expensive meal. Can I please have a full shrimp? The tiny bits in there do not constitute a full serving.
Then came the pasta, which was bland, and the stuffed pasta resembled mush—what was that?
I completely lost it with the next dish: chicken liver. First off, another bread heavy dish after a few bread dishes already. The balancing and pace of this meal is completely off. Secondly, I usually relish, as I love pâté, foie gras, and similar delicacies. However, this dish tasted overwhelmingly bloody, making it inedible.
The pigeon, which I am familiar with and grew up eating, also had an unpleasant taste, oozing with blood. I love a medium rare steak but this dish literally tasted like blood. At this point, I felt nauseated and decided to ask for the check before dessert.
As for the bill, the waitress initially told us the drinks were complimentary, so we decided to give them a try. That turned out to be untrue. We were charged for everything, bringing our total to a staggering $450, which is excessively high, even by US standards.
We left feeling robbed, and I even experienced stomach pain afterward.
If you think you’ll enjoy a nice view during dinner, you are in for a disappointment. We were greeted with trees completely blocking the city skyline, only getting a glimpse of it after our meal.
Additionally, I noticed there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant on a Friday night, which was quite telling.
I wish I could have my time and money back. This was for our wedding anniversary and truly completely ruined our day. It’s an incredibly disappointing experience, and I can’t help but feel frustrated thinking about it.

30/11/2025: We had an unforgettable lunch at Lido 84, even though it was a rainy day (which added to the magic).
From traditional dishes to cutting-edge modern creations, they had it all.
Everything tasted fantastic, and we'll definitely be back. It was the best meal of our week-long trip to Northern Italy.
The service was lovely and friendly.
We'll be back again.

16/11/2025: The promise is high. The ratings are high. The meat is top-notch. The service is very professional. Unfortunately, I was shocked to discover that the chef doesn't know how to cook a steak. I watched in horror as he took a perfectly aged T-bone steak out of the oven, sliced it immediately without letting it rest, and proudly served it to me. Connoisseurs will recognize the mistake. Aside from this significant detail, I'm not particularly concerned with appearances and design. The bread wasn't very good, and the appetizers, consisting of chips and olives on a wheel, were rather dull. But others will surely appreciate it.
15/11/2025: Very well known bistro, however didn’t check my boxes. I was hoping for a quaint charming restaurant, it wasn’t.
On the other hand, apparently it serves great steaks, wagyu etc, unfortunately ours turned out not so good. Service was super.

16/11/2025: IL Remolino Restaurant ..via AL Porto 19 ...Casaletto Ceredano province of Cremona. It is already open and closes at 3.30 pm ..and then reopens at 6.30 pm. Here you can eat Happy Hour food, there is a fireplace, really beautiful, and here you can also eat vegan dishes. Here they focus a lot on good cuisine elaborated with innovations, even gourmet, but with local products. Here, in addition to lunches and dinners, you can also enjoy excellent aperitifs in this wonderful place in the heart of the Adda Park..inside this structure located in an equestrian center..with a bar, and a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. This..is the right place to spend a weekend in good company..try it.
