Bar Columbus
Anacapri
19/09/2025: Eduardo’s coffee art is incredible! The shakerato was DELICIOSO! AND, Eduardo’s charm was the best part :) Grazie mille!
18/09/2025: This place is a hidden gem on the Capri Island. Absolutely amazing view and beautiful ambience matched with phenomenal food. My grandmother was a 5 star Italian chef back in Detroit and having the Ravioli here brought back all those memories of eating my Nona’s cooking ❤️😋

Casa Del Vino Della Vallagarina
Isera
26/08/2025: We dined on the restaurant terrace.
Excellent food and impeccable service in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The price was more than reasonable.
There's no menu; the waiters display the daily specials at the table. When booking, we asked over the phone if a vegetarian option was available, a request that was kindly and graciously accommodated.
25/08/2025: Wonderful ambiance, great food, and atmospheric rooms. Ideally located near the A22 motorway, but a bit noisy with the windows open. We'll be back for dinner and overnight stays.
The only, but also annoying, criticism: the beds are too hard; you can almost feel the metal springs. A 6cm thick thermal foam mattress would greatly improve this.

Osteria Simpathy
Cadorago
12/09/2025: A small and warm place with a cozy atmosphere, serving truly traditional and amazing pizza. I tried the Pizza 4 Stagioni, and it was excellent! The menu is only in Italian, which adds to the authentic experience. There are plenty of options, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. A perfect spot to enjoy real Italian flavors!
07/09/2025: You eat excellent pizza, and not only that, the rest is also delicious😋

Rossopomodorino
Napoli
12/09/2025: Impeccable service, the guy who served us was really kind and smiling.
The atmosphere was lovely, with lots of music playing, which, being two young women, we enjoyed listening to.
The pizza I had was delicious, well-topped, and despite being large, thanks to the light dough, it didn't leave a lump in my stomach.
We had two pizzas, two soft drinks, a water, two cheesecakes, one with Nutella and one plain, and two coffees.
With cover charge, we paid €43 for two.
It was a great discovery.
11/09/2025: We have visited this place because of the high reviews and we were NOT dissapointed! If there was a space for sixth star we would definitely give it. Food was incredibely amazing and so were the staff. Amazing experience - will 100% visit again while in Napoli🩷

Mediceo
Pisa
07/07/2025: An ideal place if you love meat, especially in the now consolidated version of "gourmet sandwiches". The selection of beers and wines is also good, and the staff can advise you on the best pairing.
The only negative note is that it cannot be reached by car, but there are parking lots not too far away outside the ZTL.
I definitely recommend it.
05/07/2025: This restaurant is distingushed for delicious meals and high qualitity of hospitality and cervice, especially thanks to Mateo, Nicolo and Micole.

Carmnella
Napoli
20/08/2025: Carmnella—note correctly, without the 'e', which has instead 'bastardized' the vernacular of those who use the name Carminella by distorting it—is one of the oldest pizzerias in Naples.
And this precious antiquity is enhanced by the 'militancy' of Enzo Esposito, the owner, at another very famous and historic Neapolitan pizzeria, the Trianon, where, I remind non-Neapolitans, they serve only two pizzas: the classic Marinara and the Margherita, created, as everyone knows, in honor of King Umberto's wife (who, coming from Saxony, alas for her there, was most likely forced to eat pizza with pineapple, as the Landsknechts who descended from Frankfurt on the capital of the Great Beauty, Naples, reminded us recently, but who returned home with five babàs generously donated by Napoli to their Eintracht).
But let's get to the pizzas, beautifully crafted by Enzo for his Carmnella.
The selection is vast, expertly balanced between the classics (in various versions, to be chosen by the customer) and the new creations of master pizza chef Vincenzo Esposito.
Including some in collaboration with the Amalfi Coast's Michelin-starred chef, Peppe Guida.
Three quintessential ingredients of Neapolitan gastronomic culture reign supreme: escarole, ricotta, and tomato in numerous versions, including the absolute king, 'O Rraù.
The choice is extremely difficult. As I've always advised anyone wanting to understand the quality of a pizza, you should always choose a classic Margherita, and only then, on other occasions, choose another type.
But I couldn't resist the temptation to try two classics, revisited.
A beautiful 'Bucce di Margherita' and an Elena Ferrante ('O rraú ra dummeneca cu a ricotta e 'e purpettele ra nonna').
The very kind and smiling Annalisa was a little horrified by the request (given the combinations of two very different tomato sauces) but she gladly accepted the request, with a smile on her face (and it won't be added to your bill).
The dough was excellent (if you eat a pizza with even the crust, it's a sign that it's very well made), just the right consistency, not heavy, but the ingredients were equally excellent, including some delicious tomatoes.
The very light, almost imperceptible, crunchiness of the crust (certainly not, horror if there was one, (we're not Briatore's style) of the pizza dough) was very pleasing to the palate. Excellent Ragù (strictly capitalized when it's not (as the great Eduardo used to say) carne cu a pummarola) expertly prepared, and meatballs that, if you're Neapolitan, will take you back to Neapolitan Sundays.
Another clever choice that pays homage to Naples is naming the pizzas after great women, daughters of Partenope, Elena Ferrante and Elisabetta Farnese, who married a Bourbon consort and was therefore Neapolitan by adoption.
The very dry fried foods are also excellent, although I've only tried a panzarotto, as we children of Partenope call potato croquettes, and the desserts by Leopoldo (a very famous Neapolitan pastry shop, for non-Neapolitans or those unfamiliar with it).
As Enzo correctly explained, he's a pizza chef, not a pastry chef, so it's a natural choice to rely on a top-notch pastry chef for the desserts.
I highly recommend (as Annalisa, the kind and smiling waitress, recommended to me) the amarena brittle, another dip into a typical Neapolitan delicacy.
And finally, the service and the bill.
Notice the high-rimmed plates and the marble tables (another absolute Neapolitan tradition).
I've already mentioned the kindness and smile of the waitress Annalisa.
All that remains is to analyze the bill.
A little higher than the average for similarly priced establishments, but that's due to the inclusion of one panzarotto and one dessert (both excellent).
Thanks to anyone who reads this review.
19/08/2025: It's closed! I went to check today, August 19, 2025, and it's closed.

Gelateria Frescolatte
Monopoli
05/09/2025: The best gelato I've ever eaten in my life! It's the umpteenth time we've been back to FrescoLatte from Naples.
The price is worth it; don't listen to anyone who says otherwise; they want everything at a bargain price.
Suggested flavor: Peruvian dark chocolate! Killer.
03/09/2025: I've tried many gelato/ice creams in my life in Italy and abroad. This place takes the cake. Easily the best gelato I've ever had. Try pistachio, peanut or salted caramel flavors. Either of them you will be blown away. So so good.

Le Rocce
Pietrapertosa
27/08/2025: We were surprised to find this restaurant serving local cuisine, described with true passion by the restaurateur. Authentic dishes with excellent flavors.
27/08/2025: Excellent little restaurant nestled in the beautiful village of Pietrapertosa. We dined without a reservation on a Sunday with our two dogs in tow.
The staff were extremely kind and helpful, as well as passionate, and explained the menu in detail.
Traditional Lucanian food, excellent.
We had a set menu and two main courses featuring locally sourced meats: pork rib and sausage, both delicious and top-quality.
The first courses and house dessert were also excellent.
The house wine was a real surprise.
We will definitely be back.

La piadina di Zia Sofia
Lazise
30/08/2025: Not recommended. The fries tasted rancid and were inedible, and were obviously fried in old oil. We also had a pizza and a burger, both made with the same very thin crust. The burger was still partially raw.
20/08/2025: Arriving at this charming restaurant a little late, we were nonetheless very well received. I chose to create my own piadina, incorporating a nice variety of ingredients. The result was tasty, balanced, and extremely fresh. The pickled onions added a tangy touch, the sauce was creamy, and topped with superb prosciutto crudo—nothing was missing. The traditional dough, thin and crispy without being dry, added a truly delicious dimension.
I unreservedly recommend this place; a true gem, guaranteed to delight. For a pre-made classic, expect to pay around ten euros. My personalized version cost me €16.50: a slightly higher price, certainly, but more than justified by the quality and generosity of the plate.
