02/09/2025: Carnia is a magical place, a bubble nestled in the equally splendid region of Friuli. We discovered it by chance and fell in love not only with the place, but also with its people. Strong, proud, hard-working, sincere, and always kind and smiling. Hotel Posta is a reflection of these places and these people. Francesca, the owner, and all the staff, from the front desk to the dining room and kitchen staff to the cleaning ladies, are incredibly kind and always available! The food is divine; I've rarely seen such a generous breakfast, and lunch and dinner are truly TOP! And the rooms!!!! All in wood, with truly extraordinary attention to detail, from the paintings to the geraniums adorning the balcony, to the kettle with its assortment of infusions and herbal teas! Please note that, beyond the rooms, this is evident throughout the hotel. The massages and sauna are done in charming little barrels—they look so beautiful, they look like wedding favors! Last but not least, the location of the hotel, with a truly stunning view of the mountains and the village of Forni di Sopra! 05/08/2025: Recommended for - cleanliness and a lovely family room with two bathrooms - terrace with a small drying rack and table - heated outdoor pool and more - private garden - free mountain bikes, although basic - friendly and always helpful staff. Meanwhile: breakfast and food are average. Rooms facing the street and the bar are obviously less quiet. To access the pool area, you must exit the hotel entrance.

10/06/2025: ATTENTION CLOSED FOR CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT. At the moment the large parking lot in front of the restaurant is also closed.

22/08/2025: A very nice place for breakfast and aperitifs. The juices are very good, made with fresh fruit. We had the protein pancakes (it's listed on the menu). I can't say how protein-rich they actually were, but we appreciate the selection and the attention to detail. They also have vegetarian options.

18/08/2025: Lovely place!!! In a surfer-lover style, it's truly meticulously crafted, full of unique and original items. We came here for breakfast. It offers a wide selection of gluten-free products, such as donuts, cakes, and pancakes, as well as waffles. The staff is very friendly and helpful!!

26/07/2025: Ci siamo fermati per fare un aperitivo rigorosamente con prosecco e al secondo giro avevamo già un frittura sul tavolo che ci guardava. Il tempo di aspettare gli altri due commensali e abbiamo assaggiato sarde e patate . Ottimo fine ferie e complimenti per il cibo e per i prezzi ragionevoli. Se non cerchi di spennare i clienti poi tornano e fanno le recensioni positive. PS: quando trovi gente del posto in un ristorante a 50 m dal Duomo… fermati.

16/05/2025: Very good pizza at very cheap prices. Fast service. They are open late. A bit basic atmosphere suitable for groups of friends.

08/08/2025: Highly recommended, we ate mainly fish dishes, reserved a table in good time, great service, very good food - justified price/performance, will go again.

08/08/2025: They seated us almost at the back of the restaurant, in a decidedly unpleasant location. The fried fish was cold and of poor quality, while the slice of meat we ordered rare was as cold as if it had just come out of the fridge and of poor quality. After we sent the meat back, the staff was honest and discounted our bill, which we greatly appreciated. On a positive note: the pizza is good and worth it, but the rest of the experience was disappointing and doesn't encourage us to return.

28/07/2025: A very nice restaurant that we have been visiting for years. We had meat, pasta, and pizza – very good value for money with large portions. Extremely attentive service, and the food arrived quickly and hot. The head waiter has been there for years and is a unique person who has his staff absolutely under control. With 4 adults, just under 100 euros – Highly recommended.

17/08/2025: The pizza is decent, the place is welcoming, and the waiters do their best to be friendly, despite an atmosphere that to call tense is an understatement. It's clear they're working under pressure, and not because of the service. The real problem is the owner: arrogant and incapable of managing the staff with respect. I witnessed unpleasant incidents that made me feel so uncomfortable I decided to leave. It's sad to see a potentially pleasant environment ruined by the person who should be running it with professionalism. The owner should take a crash course in humanity, even before he does in restaurant management.

28/07/2025: I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Indian restaurant Himalaya in Udine, and I have to say it was a very positive experience. The food was truly excellent. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the chicken in tomato, curry, and honey sauce, but every dish on the menu is worth trying! I'll definitely be back!

19/07/2025: We had a very authentic North Indian vegetarian meal. I am pretty sure the non vegetarian is equally good as well. The host was very humble and nice. Roti and aloo matar was especially exactly how it should be in India. We had few dals, mixed veg, pakoras, biriyani… chutney, achaar etc. all felt authentic. Thanks for a nice meal.

18/07/2025: Tiny sandwiches for €10, practically the same quality as a McDonald's. The beer was equally awful. I honestly wasn't expecting this... I strongly advise against eating here.

09/07/2025: There are climbing frames for smaller children, so it's ideal for families with children. All the pizzas are delicious!

07/07/2025: The food was okay. The small play area for kids is definitely worth it (if you're traveling with small children). Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for the bill/payment. But overall, it was okay.
