01/03/2026: We had a pleasant dinner at this osteria. We ate quality food, generous portions, and thanks to TheFork, we got a 20% discount, which doesn't hurt. We particularly enjoyed the cjasons, with their beautifully balanced sweet-savory contrast, and the buckwheat blecs. The sliced ​​duck breast was also good, although I would have served it a little warmer and less cooked. Average prices, friendly staff, and a very well-kept and welcoming dining room. 16/03/2026: A spontaneous visit for a quick lunch led me to this small, charming restaurant in the heart of Palmanova this Sunday. From the moment I arrived and entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the polite and efficient service of the staff. Getting a table for two spontaneously hungry people on a Sunday lunchtime without a reservation is unusual in such a well-established local favorite among the residents of Palmanova. After just a few minutes at the bar, we had a cozy table for two, menus in hand, a place setting with a bread basket, and our drinks ordered and promptly delivered. Ordering the food was just as quick. The first course was a generous portion of vitello tonnato with vegetables on a large plate, followed by a large plate of grilled vegetables and potatoes. Both were prepared on an open grill, resulting in wonderful smoky flavors. This was followed by a mixed grilled meat platter with chicken, beef, and pork. Tip: If you're ordering a first course, order only one portion and a second plate. This leaves room for dessert, which I unfortunately skipped this time. The first course was a large platter of vitello tonnato with vegetables, and another large plate of grilled vegetables and potatoes. My overall impression: highly recommended! ❤️

22/02/2026: I hadn't been there in a couple of years, and after making a reservation on Saturday for Sunday lunch, I didn't have a pleasant experience with my family. We were right there on time at 1:00 PM, and after a short wait to verify our reservation, the girl showed us to our table. We sat down, and shortly afterward, one of the owners showed up at our table and, in an arrogant and annoyed tone, asked our last names, as if we hadn't made a reservation and shouldn't be at that table? But you showed us to that table! She could have avoided this if she'd first consulted the employee at the entrance! There were five of us, and we each had an appetizer and a first or second course. The chicken arrived at 2:45 PM. The place was packed...perhaps too crowded, and the customer and staff management wasn't the best and didn't live up to the expectations of the place. Kudos to the girl in the traditional Friulian dress. She was incredibly kind to our table, apologizing several times for the long wait.

17/02/2026: Excellent menu. All starters and main courses are very good and varied. The chicken alla diavola is excellent. It's a shame about the long wait, but it's definitely worth it. The dessert menu could be improved, but it's excellent. The space is a bit small, but it's decorated with various collectibles.

23/02/2026: Yesterday I was treated to a wonderful surprise, and so, after a cheerful aperitif in the garden, the usual kind and efficient staff welcomed us warmly, finding us a table without a reservation. It's unfair to blame the staff, who were more than helpful to everyone. A beautiful and delicious lunch!

24/02/2026: That's your place if you're looking for regional food. Place is not too big but spacious enough to accommodate some 20-30 people so best to book in advance. Our host was very accommodating and kind person that recommended some of the best foods. I had "Ljubljanska" which is similar to Schnitzel but with cheese inside and mashed potatoes with bacon. I also had Italian craft beer, lager with crisp and floral notes. My friend had goulash, meet was cooked perfectly and stew had sweet and savory taste. We would definitely be back to have Ljubljanska and goulash again and try Jota soup.

19/02/2026: We stayed 5 nights at Alle Trote on a half-board basis. The location was very quiet, the room spotless, and the bathroom was nice and functional. Breakfast was good, and dinner was truly excellent, especially the various trout dishes. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We'd love to return. Thank you.

The veal with tuna sauce was well-balanced, and the baked potato was excellent, dry, not greasy. The place gets a full thumbs-up. Courtesy, speed of service, and friendliness make this place excellent. Ultimately, highly recommended.
