24/05/2025: The sandwiches are big and very good. The place reminds you of a pub. Nice and efficient staff. Fair prices.

14/05/2025: The place is nice, very difficult to find parking because the place will have 5/6 parking spaces available, around the corner of the street you can find something, but still you have to walk a bit! Then the food is ok, the sandwiches are their strong points but I can say that they have a small selection of sandwiches, the prices are fair and the service is excellent. So if you want to try it I recommend it.

Servizio cortese e molto ospitale, proprietario simpatico e alla mano. Locale con una cantina molto molto ben fornita, abbiamo bevuto bottiglie importanti e ad un prezzo davvero super! 08/04/2025: The place is a bit out of the way but nice and welcoming, friendly staff, little parking. I ate for lunch while passing through for work, both workers' and à la carte menus, with a wide choice of pizzas, I had a good time, I recommend it!

24/05/2025: This is "the" Chinese restaurant in Trieste. I wrote it six years ago, and after several visits over time I can confirm it: always excellent. The quality of the food surprises every time - carefully prepared, light, authentic dishes, without the usual "tricks" of fast food such as starch, excessive salt or heavy sauces. Here you eat well, period. And you feel it from the first bite. The tables and chairs, stylized but comfortable, are available both inside - in a markedly traditional, well-kept, perhaps a little narrow environment - and outside, on a quiet pedestrian street perfect for a relaxed evening dinner. The price follows the quality, but fortunately does not reach it completely: it remains honest, especially considering what arrives on your plate. Da Liu remains the best Chinese restaurant in the city. And perhaps also one of the few that has managed to make people talk about Chinese cuisine in terms of elegance and coherence for (many) decades. Recommended with your eyes closed.

15/03/2025: Dario is a unique person, he is a real OST! In business since 1986, the "Da Afro" restaurant offers authentic local cuisine, with a careful selection of wines and raw materials (often from its own vegetable garden/farm). They also have a hotel with 8 rooms, I advise you to try to have dinner at his place and if you are far away to stop and sleep and with the excuse of drinking a few more bottles. Every time I pass through his area I stop to have a few words in front of a glass of wine🍷 and then eat a nice first course! You won't regret it 😇

03/05/2025: Nice restaurant with high quality cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the fish in the pistachio coating, a new combination for us that was absolutely convincing in terms of taste. Simply delicious! However, the location is less appealing as the restaurant is close to a main road and can therefore be quite noisy.

03/05/2025: Located on a pedestrian crossroads of a very busy street, when eating outside you can hear some traffic noise, but it doesn't bother you. The dishes are good and the portions are plentiful; the only flaw, based on personal taste, was that the peppered mussels had too much oregano which overpowered the taste of the mussels, which among other things were a little dry. The pistachio crusted red mullet fillets, however, were phenomenal.

19/04/2025: Between Spilimbergo and Sequals there is a kiosk on the so-called “Stradone” – the Chiosco. This place is perfect for a glass of wine or a snack: they always have freshly prepared food. The selection ranges from polenta, salsiccia, mixed salad, apple strudel, various red wines, white wines, Prosecco and a variety of specialties from North Friuli and South Tyrol. The wines come from the la ghiaia winery behind the kiosk, which refers to the winery's stony underground.
