10/07/2025: I'm editing my blank review (which only had a star rating) in your response, so I can clarify that we arrived at 8:05 PM and our order was taken at 8:18 PM (the time you indicated in the first comment, which you removed) only because we had to wait for someone to come to our table: it wasn't our choice. The pizzas actually arrived after a 35-minute wait, which is still excessive for two simple pizzas in a restaurant that wasn't particularly busy. Even though you've edited your response, I'm also responding to your diaper change request (since I received the first version by email and read it): it wasn't a lack of respect, but a necessity. There was no changing table in the bathroom, and I used a changing mat in an empty area of the restaurant, out of respect for other customers and the cleanliness of the place. I understand the sensitivity of the topic, but it would be helpful for a family-friendly restaurant to have a changing table, to avoid similar situations (since, from what you wrote, you consider it so serious to see a mother changing a baby's diaper stained with tomato sauce). My review is honest and not offensive, as demonstrated by the three-star rating for the food. I'm sorry that the restaurant's response was so personal and used inappropriate words (such as "lies," "bullshit," and "frustrated people") toward a customer who simply gave one star for the wait. Constructive criticism is accepted with professionalism, even when it's unpleasant. A piece of advice for you: instead of inviting those who report the inconvenience of the wait to "eat at home," it would have been more helpful to apologize or offer a coffee: a small gesture of courtesy demonstrates care and helps build customer loyalty. 28/07/2025: We chose Casone for our daughter's baptism luncheon, and everything was truly excellent. Starting with the location, nestled in the Friulian countryside, with a fireplace room entirely dedicated to our guests, decorated with great care and attention to detail. The menu we chose delighted our palates: appetizers of local cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by superb fried gnocchi, followed by excellent asparagus crepes and a delicious mixed grill of meats. To top it all off, the excellent and meticulous service demonstrated the owner's great passion and professionalism! Thank you for making such an important day special for us!

30/07/2025: It's the perfect agriturismo if you want to relax. We had a wonderful time; the peace and quiet are truly breathtaking. The vine-covered pergola is a lovely place to read and chat while admiring the greenery and undisturbed by distractions.

29/07/2025: This was a very special stay for us; the landscape, vineyards and gardens were an ideal setting to recharge after a busy year, not least because Luca and Paul are such generous, dedicated hosts. Paul’s cooking is exceptional and the dining setting under a deep, broad pergola of fruiting vines is so beautiful. Plus I’m in love with the dogs and the white peafowl as they roam around.

19/07/2025: Antica Osteria in the center offers traditional Friulian cuisine with Slovenian influences, being close to the border. It offers authentic, home-cooked food, not to be missed if you're passing through!

08/07/2025: Very nice hostess, delicious croissants, great coffee and even better atmosphere. The lady only speaks Italian but we managed to communicate. There is a toilet, but expect a typical Italian one.

Informal atmosphere, also outdoor tables, in a pleasant recently renovated and well protected veranda. The staff, skillfully directed by the owners, is amazingly operational and this is a show that compensates for the small waits that sometimes occur given the large influx of loyal customers

30/07/2025: I chose this place for a business lunch and was very satisfied. The staff was extremely courteous. Excellent food, in true Trieste buffet style. We shared a pizza with fried eggplant and burrata, a Lubjanska, and gnocchi with goulash. Everything was excellent at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

27/07/2025: Exceptional pizza. Excellent first courses and fish. The wiener is huge and delicious. A great place for kids, as there's a playroom just for them and a large outdoor garden. Recommended...must try.
