21/01/2026: We decided to stop at Pizzeria Pontafel because it is located very close to the highway exit, making it an incredibly convenient break during our road trip. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming team. The staff was polite and attentive throughout our entire visit. Meals arrived quickly without feeling rushed. The food itself was really good and offered. A huge plus for us was gluten-free pasta options, which can sometimes be hard to find while traveling. As for the logistics, we street parking available nearby, so we didn't have to spend any time searching for a spot. The atmosphere is cozy and much more pleasant than a standard highway rest stop. Overall, it was a great experience with top-notch service that made our journey much better. If you are passing through the area and looking for a quality meal, I highly recommend a stop here.

13/01/2026: We went to Puro to celebrate a birthday. It's a place I've been frequenting for a while and have almost always had a great experience. Only once did it leave a slightly bitter taste, but we're human and we can have a bad day. We drank a Louis Roederer Collection 245 Jeroboam, accompanied by a tasting board of cured meats, cheeses, and various jams: refined products that always live up to the restaurant's high standards. Knowing how careful I am when choosing my glasses, the staff always tries to accommodate me. Special thanks to the waitress of Friulian origins, who greets us with great kindness whenever we arrive and always finds the best solution for our needs. A special mention also goes to the bar manager and the dining room manager: despite their young age, they perfectly embody professionalism and a welcoming spirit, with constant attention to the customer. It's a place that always makes me look good with those who accompany me, both in business and personal contexts. It's definitely a point of reference in Trieste.

17/01/2026: We had a romantic lunch with our German Shepherd at this incredibly welcoming inn overlooking the lake. The host welcomed us with passion and kindness, making us feel right at home right away, spoiling us before we even ordered with a delicious homemade pie! The food was fabulous, from appetizer to dessert. Thanks also to all the staff, who were very helpful and always smiling! Beautiful place, we'll be back ❤️

Italy is known for its excellent coffee and wine, not for punch. I am a very satisfied customer of Bar Lory and can highly recommend it.

18/08/2025: I'd just like to point out that there was too much oil on the pizza, which made it a bit too heavy for my taste. That said, the pizza was still good. The wife was also satisfied, but she did make a point (please take this as advice, not as a harsh criticism): in her case, the vegetable pizza was too big, and very, very undercooked. A pass, anyway!
