09/03/2025: Abbiamo mangiato in coppia a pranzo una soleggiata domenica di marzo. Cjalsons e tagliatelle ai funghi fatte in casa, contorni e dolce . Il cibo era presentato bene e gustoso. Porzioni abbondanti. Prezzo più che onesto.
16/02/2025: stopped after a walk, we ate the cjarsons (spectacular!) and the tagliatelle with game (delicious)!
attentive and friendly service, exemplary cleanliness, spectacular views of Tersadia and honest prices. they gave us food even though it was 3pm (not exactly obvious)

23/03/2025: Always fantastic, I stopped again after a year from the last visit to Trieste... what can I say, Buffet da Gildo never disappoints, friendly staff and food that calling it "excellent" is not enough (so much so that I went back to take away for dinner too). Calamari always top, also the patate in tecia and the strudel delicious. Strong point? The super honest prices 🙂

08/04/2025: The reason of my low note is due to the embarrassing corner dedicated to Benito Mussolini (near the entrance, a cupboard full of objects branded "Il Duce"... Which is illegal, BTW).
It is a pity as food was great, service excellent and the ambiance cosy.

22/03/2025: Very pleasant surprise! A true family-run trattoria, where the fish cuisine respects the Trieste tradition and the Karst roots. All authentic and carefully prepared: from the exquisite appetizers, with a hot granzievola to season as desired, to the grilled octopus and the light and crunchy mixed frying. The unusual seaweed meatballs, desserts and sorbets are also delicious. Excellent house prosecco. Cozy atmosphere, kind and attentive staff. Very pleasant evening, we will definitely be back!

23/03/2025: Nice place, attentive and friendly staff. I went with my wife and we ordered two starters of cold cuts and cheese, very good. After a barbecue for two, plentiful, good meat, too bad it wasn't hot as we Argentinians like it. However all in all, we will be back. Reasonable value for money.

Everything was good and cared for. Excellent wine, many wineries available. Owners happy and super nice in advising us what to visit in the city
