Al Ciketo In Trieste

My husband and I went there for a drink and tried a few things. It was a very tasty and interesting experience! The service was very friendly and helpful 👌

Introduction. I love informal places with traditional fare. We announced our visit to Trieste as tourists, and the warm welcome from Trieste immediately kicked in. The cocktail menu was explained, with recommendations for local products and plenty of cicchetti. A successful aperitif with my grandchildren and daughters. Highly recommended. This bar doesn't fit the usual rating criteria. In the evenings: most people are standing in the narrow alley, some are sitting at the few tables outside or on bar stools in the side alley, and they're having a great time. Young, Italian crowd, loud. Dolce vita! We like to go there after dinner for a digestif to immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere, end the evening, and have a loud discussion (you have to be able to speak over the noise level, after all). If you're still a bit hungry afterward, you can try the cicchetti.

Simple, good, and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

We could have spent the whole afternoon there, honestly. Nice vibe, excellent wine, lovely snacks. We’ll be back!

A small venue with outdoor seating and a small alleyway. Packed with customers. No table service. Prices are truly reasonable, especially considering it's located in the heart of Trieste in a pedestrian area. A must-see.

We've been here twice. Both times it was a five-star experience. The sandwiches and wine were great.
