01/03/2026: Best restaurant I visited on this trip to Trieste. A simple, family-run trattoria with excellent service and fantastic food. The atmosphere is simple and small, with tables inside and some on the sidewalk. Impeccable, friendly, and very efficient service. They adapted one of the dishes to be vegetarian. The menu features great local options: start with the buttered cod and then order the house specialty pasta, with a sauce cooked for hours, and seafood. Good selection of house wines. Well worth a visit!

09/01/2026: I can't understand how it gets those kind of reviews. We went for lunch, the food was poor quality (overcooked pasta, tough pork), the owner was friendly, and it was cold. Sorry, but we won't be back.

11/11/2025: My wife and I dined and slept at this agriturismo. The dinner was excellent, featuring quality local produce. The room was very large (comparable to a 4-star hotel) with modern furnishings, a large bathroom, and a wonderful shower. Special mention goes to the kindness of the owner and her son.

18/10/2025: We had dinner at this beautiful Agriturismo and had a wonderful time. We ordered their charcuterie and cheese platter, followed by two delicious risottos: one with pomegranate and the other with sausage and radicchio. We finished with homemade desserts. Everything was excellent, as was the service. The owners are very kind and friendly. You really feel at home. We'll definitely be back. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

29/11/2025: We came to this restaurant because there is nothing much you can do in this village except mine tour when it’s raining. Stuff was nice with good English. We had to try pizza and aperoll of course. Waiting time was like 10 minutes and dish was delicious. Pay with card possible but they charged us paper placemats with cutlery which was 1,50€ per person. Not sure if these are standards in Italy or not. Italian atmosphere was amazing btw.

10/01/2026: After a visit to the village's nativity scenes, which was truly worth it, we had dinner here: a house converted into a trattoria, simple, friendly and skilled waiter, dishes made with excellent raw materials, reasonable prices.

28/02/2026: We returned to San Daniele after a year, but we wanted a different venue, and this time we ended up here. It's a beautiful, quiet place with a traditional feel. The staff is helpful, kind, and attentive. The prosciutto certainly met our expectations (if not better), while the other dishes, while good, left something to be desired. We expected them to be a bit more generous, even from other users' photos. Nothing to criticize about the staff, but if you see the other dishes a bit fuller than yours, you'll have to ask yourself a few questions. The bill was perfect: perhaps a little less than we expected (we've been to four Borghese restaurants by now, and we even tried to guess the bill). The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the authenticity was evident on the palate. Recommended (but you'll have to ask for larger portions to get the ones in other people's photos).

15/02/2026: Passing through San Daniele, we couldn't resist trying the famous prosciutto. We chose this osteria, where we enjoyed an excellent prosciutto platter accompanied by two good glasses of wine. It's just steps from the Duomo and open all day, making it very convenient for those of us passing through. Excellent value for money.

12/03/2026: What can I say? Personally, this is the best seafood restaurant in Trieste. The quality of the food, the chef's expertise, and the kindness and professionalism of the wait staff. The prices are in line with the quality of the products and still well below those of many other places that call themselves elite. Well done, keep it up 🐟 🥂

A very positive aspect is the focus on health: the restaurant also offers dishes suitable for heart patients, with light ingredients and little salt. It's a quiet place where you can eat well without feeling heavy. Also recommended for those following a controlled diet.

The fish dishes are classic and truly excellent, not particularly sophisticated, but the price is, in my opinion, unjustifiably high, especially considering the standard service (€3.50 cover charge!)
