04/09/2025: We stopped here for lunch during a road trip, and it was a delightful surprise! First, the kindness of the owner, who set up a table even though it was a little late, and then the good quality of the food: given the availability, we went for the mushrooms, both with excellent tagliatelle and grilled! It's a shame we were traveling, because the restaurant deserved more attention. Who knows, maybe we'll be back again soon!

04/10/2025: Honestly, the food seemed tasteless, very dry and disjointed, as did the sandwiches made with a type of bread unsuitable for frico, the polenta crostini weren't exceptional, and finally the frico dish was small in quantity. The prices were normal, but in line with what was stated. The service could be greatly improved. Perhaps a place better suited to an aperitif than a meal. Nothing extraordinary.

The only small complaint is that the _correct_ phone number was only found on the St. Martin's Day menu taped to the window (the friendly waiter found it right away behind the counter), so the website updates are lagging a bit behind. Go and try it - with time!
12/11/2025: Excellent hospitality, good food, and excellent value. The wine was obviously good, considering the location. This opinion was shared by the friends we dined with.

07/11/2025: The place is wonderful, and we ate very well. I have to say, however, that I found it appalling that there was a gray parrot, I think an African grey, locked in a one-meter by one-meter by two-meter cage, which, according to the farm staff I asked, it never leaves. I'm sorry, but this is unforgivable. It's a shame, because everything else was truly beautiful... If the information I received is incorrect and the parrot is often let out of its cage, then this farm really is an ideal place. I hope so.
27/10/2025: I used the bar in a very beautiful location for an aperitif, the crostini and wines were excellent, it's a shame it wasn't for lunch so we could sit in the garden, the knowledgeable and friendly staff are definitely worth trying.

09/11/2025: A lovely restaurant with typical Friulian osteria decor.
Very friendly but attentive service.
The only flaw is the menu, which isn't written down but is read, leaving you with no idea of the price. I prefer the menu with prices to help you decide what to choose.
The dishes were very generous, traditional, and delicious.
I found the pork cutlet a bit too stringy, but both the tripe and the first courses with duck and venison ragù were excellent!
They offer biscuits and greens with coffee, a lovely treat to end the meal!
We'll definitely be back; it was a positive experience.
01/11/2025: We ate here for the first time four weeks ago (as backpackers) and were thrilled. The excellent food (including Polpette della Nonna), the incredibly warm and welcoming staff, and the unparalleled hospitality – we were back again today and everything was perfect once more.
We'll definitely be back.

30/11/2025: The fried fish was an A+, but everything else was excellent too! The staff were incredibly friendly, the dishes were beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
The prices were commensurate with the service provided.
It's definitely worth it!

14/12/2025: A truly disappointing experience. The food was a disgrace: poorly prepared dishes, the wrong flavors, and very low-quality ingredients. The pasta was overcooked, the sauces tasteless, and the service slow and inattentive.
For the prices, you'd expect at least a little care, but unfortunately, it wasn't there. This place is overrated; I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.
14/12/2025: Tea or Frico?
After a lovely hike to the Cava Buscada refuge, I arrived at Trattoria Julia around 5:00 PM, and the lovely ladies who run it prepared me a fantastic Frico for teatime, even though the kitchen was probably closed: that Frico had the distinct flavor of availability, which is no longer a given.
The polenta was also excellent, and I really enjoyed the wine by the glass, even though I didn't recognize it.
Stop by any time on Saturday or Sunday; I think you'll be treated well and eat wonderfully.
