I went to the restaurant with my family and the food is really good! There Frico is the best that we ate in Udine 10/10!

Osteria Ex Provinciali embraces its guests with unparalleled charm. Even at the counter, the many homemade pickled vegetable varieties whet the appetite and immediately reveal the love and care that goes into their creations. The menu is easily and conveniently accessed via QR code – and even in multiple languages. The waitress, apparently the owner herself, deserves special mention: incredibly friendly, attentive, and with admirable composure, she manages the service single-handedly, even when the restaurant is full. We were surprised with a small complimentary soup as a welcome from the kitchen – a wonderful touch. The food itself was fresh, creative, and prepared with exceptional regional ingredients. You can taste the quality and passion in every dish. A wonderful restaurant in the heart of Udine – authentic, welcoming, and highly recommended.

This is a review of a smaller family regional restaurant, we had a great meal and really enjoyed the local produce and menu. Not lots of English spoken, don’t let that put you off, on a quiet Tuesday night this place was packed with locals and we understood why. The family running this place could not have been more helpful and kind.

Excellent dishes, and I have to say the side dish buffet is the icing on the cake! It's hard to choose... If you add the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners, you can't miss stopping by at least once... Then, in my opinion, you'll never forget it.... Only compliments 👏👏👏👏

Yesterday, the two of us with our baby were there and felt incredibly welcome from the very first moment. The atmosphere is wonderful – it almost feels like being in your own living room at Mom's. Service & Food: Both were absolutely excellent. You can tell that they work with passion. A huge thank you again for the personal dessert recommendation! It was the perfect ending and a real highlight of our visit. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the wonderful evening.

I had a beautiful solo lunch here yesterday. The waitress was so lovely in spite of my awful Italian, and the Ragu with blackberries was delicious. A gorgeous escape from the noisy touristy restaurants nearby, delicious food and lovely service. Highly recommend if you’re not in a massive rush (she seems to do everything on her own so can’t be rushed!) Thank you for a gorgeous lunch!

A lovely trattoria with excellent food and very friendly owners. We ate very well, all traditional dishes at reasonable prices, despite being right in the city center, even within a limited traffic zone. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

A welcoming and quiet atmosphere, traditional cuisine with a touch of originality in every dish. Authentic cuisine, excellent value. Highly recommended.
