23/11/2025: A bit disorganized, I asked for some ingredients to be added only to find out at home that they hadn't, personally I won't be returning

19/11/2025: The food is very good but one of the workers tried to steal 1€ from my change and didn't even give me the receipt, luckily I discovered it.

21/11/2025: The food is good, in line with other restaurants in the area. Prices are similar to those found in Modena's historic center, and portions are too small. Service is aloof and a bit arrogant, lacking enthusiasm and passion.

17/11/2025: Arriving at Trattoria Lo Spino at night in the rain is an experience that should be patented as an Apennine escape room: narrow streets, potholes sized like "wild boar traps," puddles as deep as the ocean, alternate one-way streets that seem playful, and slippery hairpin bends that make you reevaluate all your life choices. A bit like riding a scooter as a kid: zero sense, but a lot of adventure. But then you enter... and you wonder why you didn't come here before. Because here, for once, the destination trumps the journey, without the need for a VAR. The decor is a masterpiece somewhere between the surreal and the Emilian-country: family photos that gaze at you like old friends, paintings of salami and pancetta worthy of the Louvre in Castelvetro, and a soft atmosphere that envelops you and tells you "relax, you're in good hands." And speaking of hands: the owners are so friendly they could give a TED Talk on friendliness. Stefania, needless to say, is number one. The service is fast, simple, and direct: no frills, just goodness delivered to the table at a brisk pace. The traditional dishes are all guaranteed: ricotta tortelloni to die for, a chicken cacciatore so good it reconnects you with humanity, and crispy tigelle (very little crumb, thank goodness) that seriously risk becoming addictive. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's honest, like someone who tells you the truth even when it's not worth it. And the same goes for the bill. The place is perfect for dinners with friends, cheerful company, and anyone who wants to spend an evening laughing, eating well, and feeling exactly the right place. In short: you come in soaked, you leave happy. And above all: you come back.

07/12/2025: Today 7/12/25 we went to eat at this place with a beautiful Christmas atmosphere. The food was delicious, the service was efficient, we didn't wait for our dishes and the bill was affordable even if the coffee was a bit expensive, but for the rest I recommend it.

17/11/2025: I highly recommend it! I had the lambrusco and mascarpone risotto and a beef fillet with balsamic vinegar – pure bliss. The meat, cooked to my liking, was tender and delicious.

07/12/2025: Like all old Wild West places, the food was good, but for the first time, the waitress was rude. At 8:00 PM, the place was semi-empty. They gave us a table for 4, which was quite narrow. We asked if we could sit at a larger table. They replied, "If you don't see the table, it seats 5/6. There are 4 of you, you can't go (there are 4 of us, 🐶). I understand everything, but a little more politeness is needed. At 9:00 PM, we left, and no one ever sat down at those tables, and the place was still semi-empty. I didn't like the waitress.

09/11/2025: I haven't had such intense flavors in a long time. It's not the classic one, which mostly tastes like milk. I got the pistachio and hazelnut ones, and they had an extraordinary flavor. Every bite was a delight. I'll definitely be back. PS: I got the gluten-free brioche.

07/09/2025: The ice cream shop is in a somewhat hidden spot...look for it because the ice cream deserves to be savored with the hope that it will never end. I don't have any photos to show because you can imagine how much effort I put into it!

05/11/2025: More than 30 minutes late, it's Wednesday night, not even Saturday, Sunday, or Friday. It's happened several times already.

05/11/2025: Light and delicious pizza, very friendly staff who put their heart and soul into their work. Definitely worth a visit; there are a wide variety of flavors available, and there are even a few tables for dining in. Convenient parking is available outside.

29/11/2025: Reservations are required, but only because it's always busy. The staff is decent. A bit noisy. Good food.

29/11/2025: The environment is beautiful, the service is elegant, and the location is excellent, right behind the Florence Cathedral. Unfortunately, my photography skills are limited.

22/08/2025: Very well stocked bar for breakfast, snacks, lunches, etc. Always fresh products made daily by them. Very clean environment, excellent staff, very helpful.

08/10/2025: The dishes were quite good but a little expensive, the service leaves much to be desired. We asked for red wine and they brought a sweet and sparkling Lambrusco without asking us if we wanted it still or sparkling. The place is a little dated.
