20/01/2026: Just outside the walls of the picturesque village of Pienza, near the parking lots—the ones with parking discs, that is—on the narrow road that slopes down from the village, toward Colombaiolo, lies this small trattoria. It's rustic in style but has a somewhat unassuming appearance, to use the Tuscan dialect term. It lacks personality and a sense of local identity. Its notable virtuous soul is a small fireplace in the center of the dining room. As is well known, a fire creates a convivial and pleasant atmosphere, especially on gray winter days! La Chiocciola is always very popular, especially with tourists, but there's no shortage of locals, too. This is my second visit! The food is honest, simple, and unpretentious. The ingredients used are certainly not top-notch, but that's fine. In short, traditional dishes, discreet service, and reasonable prices.

18/01/2026: Charming, almost uninhabited village, but there is a good pizzeria restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The rooms on the return are clean and quite large. The owners are friendly and very kind. The continental breakfast is standard.

13/01/2026: My husband and I went to this osteria in the center, a very nice place. We ate in a cave and, what can I say, the food was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chiusdino, good price.

31/07/2025: Ambiente gradevole e personale molto gentile menù molto limitato e prezzi esosi. Pici all'aglione buoni ma non abbondanti e un prezzo elevato (18 euro). Una lattina di Coca Cola 5 euro, un bicchiere di vino della casa 8 euro. Non lo consiglio nè ci tornerei.

21/11/2025: We stumbled upon it almost by accident, just passing through. We ordered a platter of cured meats, which I must say was good. The osso buco was a bit less so, as it was burnt, which meant it tasted the same. The pici with ragù were enjoyable. Overall, it was good, but I wouldn't go back on purpose.

We ate well in cheerful company, but unfortunately, we could only choose our dishes from the electronic menu, without any information from the staff (for example, some dishes were no longer available). Despite some delays in deliveries, which were both small and acceptable, the staff still managed to make us feel comfortable. We'll be back.

04/01/2026: I had lunch at this Tuscan restaurant, which I found by chance while strolling through Siena. The dishes were delicious, carefully prepared and respectful of tradition. The staff was very kind and attentive: a detail not to be overlooked, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. A truly pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable.

The real surprise, however, was the food: Gabriele in the kitchen manages to transform traditional dishes into true magic, with an innovative touch that makes them unique and irresistible. Each dish is a discovery, tasty and refined, but without ever losing the authenticity of classic recipes. A special thanks also to Roberta, who welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, making us feel at home. Highly recommended for those seeking a quality gastronomic experience in a welcoming and refined environment. We will definitely be back!
