04/04/2024: I've known the place for many years and always like to go when I'm in the area. I went to my family's Easter lunch, Simone is a good "host" who wisely chooses the authenticity of the product to offer, always cooked according to the canons of traditional Tuscan cuisine. The choice of wine is wide and of high quality, I will return soon, perhaps in the romantic outdoor courtyard.

30/03/2024: Top, top, top! We have ordered pasta, meat (both beef fillet and chicken) and then tiramisu, everything was delicious. Service and atmosphere are also great, you feel that you’re in Tuscany 🙌🏻

03/04/2024: I know Chianti very well. The Barbischio tavern is certainly among the top 3 locations in Chianti for quality of cuisine and adequate prices, in addition to the fact that it is a very nice and intimate restaurant. Claudio has a disarming professionalism and love for what he does in the dining room. Everything at the top!

21/10/2023: Ancora una volta, in occasione della nostra partecipazione a L’Eroica di Gaiole, abbiamo voluto cenare in questa tradizionale osteria, memori delle ottime esperienze precedenti. Nonostante la serata fosse particolarmente impegnativa per il gran numero degli avventori, la qualità non è venuta meno, sia per quanto riguarda le pietanze che il servizio. Ottimi i primi (in particolare gli “ignudi”) così come i secondi (il “peposo” rimane il mio preferito). Anche la carta dei vini è di tutto rispetto. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

01/04/2024: We came here specifically to eat the Florentine steak as described on a site, one of the best places to eat a good Florentine steak, but honestly we have eaten much better ones in other places. The cured meats and tagliatelle were delicious. Instead the coffee was burnt. Coming from Florence, before going down to Salerno we chose this place to stop, but the road is a state road and full of curves and it's a lot quicker if you come from Montepulciano, Sinalunga, Castelnuovo than if you come from Florence. For the rest everyone was kind and courteous. Prices normal

01/04/2024: Today our palates were delighted with chef Sangiacomo's dishes. Impeccable lunch, kind and attentive service, welcoming and relaxing environment. Each dish, with the precision of the presentation, the cooking and the consistencies, made us understand the great technique in the kitchen, never an end in itself, but applied to the exaltation of the raw materials. The apotheosis was then reached with the pigeon which, alone, is worth the visit to the tavern. In short, we should go back, we should try it and the chef should definitely be rewarded

31/03/2024: Small place with large outdoor spaces where you can pergola after some good, excellent food accompanied by a good wine. In Chianti there is this very, very nice place where you can eat with family or friends. Also covered by some trees which, when it is very hot, create a truly pleasant shade, as well as a very suggestive atmosphere.

31/03/2024: Truly relaxing experience in the heart of Chianti, super friendly and welcoming dining room staff. Small family-run restaurant in the heart of this small village in Chianti, they have many wine labels with which to delight the palate.

29/10/2023: This has to be our favorite restaurant in Tuscany! We had dinner here twice while staying at Castella di Spaltenna in Gaiole ( a 1 0 minute drive away). Beautiful ambience, top-notch service, and wonderful food and wine. I have Celiac and they exceeded my expectations with delicious bread and gluten free pasta dishes. Truly an exceptional restaurant and our best dining experience!

21/10/2023: Abbiamo alloggiato alla Rocca di Castagnoli in occasione de L’Eroica ed abbiamo approfittato del ristorante, posto all’interno dello splendido complesso medievale. Pietanze superbe, complimenti alla Chef ed a tutto lo staff.
