05/04/2026: I dedicate this review to everyone who tries to find a restaurant through Google to make their vacation better and happier. You know, everyone is different — and that’s exactly what makes this world awesome. But when, in a restaurant, a chef comes out to tell you that your tastes, your way of life, and your preferences are weird just because you like potatoes or don’t eat meat or fish, and that you’re somehow not “normal” — it doesn’t just feel uncomfortable. You actually start wondering how you ended up in a place where you can’t simply be who you are. We live in a time when individuality is valued and empathy is supposed to matter, and yet you find yourself in a situation like this and can’t quite believe what you’re hearing. I wish you happiness, dear chef.

01/04/2026: TOURIST TRAP! Please, be aware what you are walking into. This restaurant wants to do everything to get the bill up. Don't get me wrong the food is pretty oke, but.. pasta's for 20 euros, pushing for extra sides, "water menu" and appetizers. And even then, you can say this can all be part of a Nicer restaurant. Getting the bill. Glasses of wine for 18,50(had no idea), side dish(no idea it was a side dish) and then to top it off coperta. Which usually happens for cheaper pleases where people order a water and then enjoy the view.. This place is a fake. Don't go here, don't listen to what chatgpt tells you😂

12/04/2026: Great local Italian restaurant. Friendly and attentive service without being obstructive. Delicious food and completely safe for gluten free (Celoiac) diner and staff where so supportive.

07/03/2026: A simply unforgettable dinner. Extraordinary tagliolini with truffle: intense aroma, perfect pasta, and a truly rare balance of flavors. Then a special fillet, cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and meticulously presented. All accompanied by a stunning "Calipte" rosé, in an exceptional atmosphere, elegant yet welcoming, where every detail contributes to making the experience special. Highly recommended: one of those restaurants that lingers in your memory.

03/03/2026: I went on a Tuscan tour that included a winery visit! The scenery was amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful. The food was also delicious... The wine was so good I bought some as a gift. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had in Italy.

21/04/2026: I ordered two cappuccinos (which were awful, by the way) and paid 7 euros!!! The sign outside also said "Bar," but the staff seemed annoyed at having to serve cappuccinos at 11:00 AM... And when I asked if they also had two croissants, or some biscuits, they even rudely handed me the restaurant's dessert menu, again at 7-8 euros per dessert... obviously, the question arises... MAYBE it would be better to remove the bar sign and/or put up a sign saying NO BAR SERVICE! Or at least at unreasonable prices! Ps. Worst cappuccino I've ever had... I couldn't even drink it. I wanted to thank you for your kind and courteous reply. (I also took the liberty of forwarding it to some local newspapers and your tourist office.) I just wanted to point out two things: 1) If, as you pointed out, you were closed at 11 and DON'T offer bar service, you should have said so right away. That way, we wouldn't have stopped and wasted 7 euros, but we would have stopped at another bar/restaurant (as per your sign, I remember...). 2) Regarding the tone and insults in the last lines of your response, if I were you, I'd look for someone good who could help you... and above all, perhaps given how you respond to customers, you might consider changing jobs next. 19/04/2026: We weren't familiar with it, so we chose it at random from the thousands of options in the area. The staff was extremely friendly. The quality of the products was beyond excellent. It's been a long time since we've eaten so well at a restaurant. Would we recommend it? YES!

16/03/2026: On Saturday, March 14, 2026, I found myself celebrating my birthday alone for the first time in my life. After careful research, I decided, despite the fact that I dislike and have difficulty being alone, to book a table at this restaurant, hoping to at least treat myself to a pleasant moment. However, I never imagined that this experience would soon become, quite literally, a true gift. Starting with the location, enchanting and private enough to put, even if only for that brief moment, a brake on the incessant pace of the serious lives and thoughts of everyone present at the table. Moving on to Claudio, the kind, courteous, and honest facilitator of this unforgettable journey, who, from the moment I arrived, as he does with every guest, put me at ease, giving me the feeling of having known him forever but, above all, of having finally arrived in a safe space protected by him. Concluding with the dishes I had the privilege of listening to, observing, and tasting. I remember each of these distinct yet interconnected experiences being so enchanting that the further I went, the more difficult it was to express in words my pleasure and amazement, prompting me to simply and magically enjoy everything that was happening to me. I won't go into further detail; I'll attach a few photos of this enchanting journey, and I thank Claudio and the entire staff once again for this unforgettable gift, which wasn't just a birthday present, but also, and most importantly, a life gift.

18/04/2026: Excellent location, beautiful establishment with character, warm staff, and we had the pleasure of chatting with "Bagoga," the establishment's founder and former fantino (a type of horseman) in the Palio di Siena for the Contrada de l'Aquila. The dining room is also richly decorated with trophies and old photos of the Palio; a very pleasant experience and excellent cuisine.

11/04/2026: High expectations, empty plates I was deeply disappointed with my experience at Bagoga. Although the restaurant tries to project a certain image of prestige and quality, the substance of the food is decidedly lacking, especially considering the price. What didn't work: The portions: To call them "minimal" is an understatement. I ordered two first courses, a second course with a side dish, and dessert, but despite the full menu, I left the table feeling hungry. The Tagliata: This is a prime example of the problem: I was served literally three strips of meat on a huge plate. Lots of white space, very little content. Value for money: The restaurant puts on a lot of prestige, but the service was only "so-so." Paying high-end restaurant prices for portions that wouldn't even satisfy a child is unacceptable. Final thoughts: Paradoxically, at any trattoria with a tourist or "workers'" menu, you eat much better and leave satisfied. Here, the aesthetics of the dish prevail over the substance, but at the expense of the customer. It's a shame, because the atmosphere promised much more. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Sienese cuisine, full of flavor and abundance. The men's restroom is also tiny.

04/05/2026: Pleasant, well-maintained atmosphere. A family-friendly place. Really good pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven. The combination of traditional Tuscan and Neapolitan pizza is perfect. A true pizza-tasting experience. We'll be back soon.

25/04/2026: I'd like to start by saying that this is meant as constructive criticism. For the appetizers, we ordered a trio of "chicche" (typical Italian specialties) for a whopping €12. We were served two suppli (a type of pasta) and a ridiculously small croquette. The good flavor doesn't justify the decidedly exorbitant price. As for the pizza, we had a problem with the sausage being completely undercooked due to the oven being too hot (this also meant the crust wasn't adequately dry and the mozzarella wasn't stringy... but let's ignore that). At that point, I raised the issue with the waiter, and the pizza chef, although annoyed, remade it but couldn't/didn't know how to fix the problem, so I ate the pizza but left the entire sausage (which I was particularly happy to eat, as it's from the famous Cecchini butcher shop nearby). Overall, a disappointing evening; nothing irreversible, given the ingredients are there, but there's a lot of work to be done. The Wi-Fi issue also needs to be addressed, as there's no reception at the restaurant.

13/04/2026: An absolut MUST DO! My husband and I fell in love with this place. We first came here in November when we were looking for a location for a celebration with about 40 guests. Stefano Forcillo welcomed us so warmly, and the restaurant, owned by his family for generations, feels very cozy and inviting. At the bar, you can get a great Negroni from Stefano or his friendly staff and maybe have a short chat with him. In the next room, you can enjoy the best food we have had in Toscany. This weekend, we had dinner there with 30 guests. We had a private space just for us, and there would have been room for even more people. It was impressive how Stefano and his team served everyone à la carte so smoothly. The pasta was amazing. The meat was excellent. The dessert was outstanding. And everything was at very fair prices. Even though the restaurant is on a slightly busy road in Sinalunga, it doesn’t take away from the experience. On the cozy veranda, we enjoyed a relaxed Aperol Spritz reception. Thank you, Stefano, for taking such good care of us. We wish you had a restaurant near our home in Berlin. We would definitely be regular guests. We will surely come back and visit you again. We stepped into a world beyond touristy Tuscany and felt at home. All the best, Johanna

12/04/2026: For our only dinner in Siena, we couldn't afford to make a mistake, so we searched extensively and settled on this reasonably priced, highly-rated restaurant. After countless phone calls, we finally got an answer and managed to secure a reservation. The carbonara-style pici was excellent, and the sautéed pork liver was among the best dishes we had during our stay. Excellent value for money.

07/04/2026: Excellent food, limited variety, and a surprise on the bill without knowing the prices in advance. But is that possible? We didn't like it. We left with a strange feeling... of lack of transparency.

02/05/2026: A decidedly negative experience. We had made a reservation, clearly specifying that we would bring strollers and a small dog (a toy poodle), and received no objections or instructions to the contrary. Once we arrived at the restaurant, however, the welcome was anything but professional: presumably the owner, in a brusque and decidedly impolite manner, prevented us from even sitting down, clearly showing annoyance at our presence and dismissing us abruptly. Beyond the lack of flexibility, what was striking was the attitude: disrespectful, lacking in customer care, and completely out of line with what one would expect from a business that serves the public. Even if there had been organizational difficulties, one would have expected a minimum level of availability, or at least a polite and constructive approach. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling deeply uneasy and disappointed. A restaurant should, above all, be a welcoming place, but in this case, the fundamental premise was completely missing: respect for the individual. I've never left a negative review for a business: my approach has always been to avoid it, even when mix-ups or unpleasant experiences occur. This time, however, I couldn't help but do so. For the first time, and hopefully the last, I encountered an attitude that it's no exaggeration to call demeaning toward customers. I believe this type of behavior should cause serious reflection for anyone who works with the public, especially tourists, for whom hospitality, respect, and professionalism should be essential values.
