24/06/2025: Breakfast needs improvement. We were expecting a farm with local products, but none of that was offered. The interior of the accommodation needs updating! The location and the view are fantastic!

08/04/2026: Well... We didn't like it. Very mediocre. The food wasn't anything special, and we waited forever to order. We weren't even given a menu once we were seated. And then there's the thing about them not keeping separate bills... I live abroad, and it's the norm to keep separate bills, and thank God, it's been here for a few decades now, too. I don't understand why we always have to stay in the Middle Ages. We definitely won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

12/06/2026: Mamma mia. There are restaurants that fill you up and restaurants that stay with you. Osteria Bonanni undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. A quote from critic Anton Ego in Ratatouille came to mind: sometimes a flavor isn't just good, it opens a door to memory and takes you back to a place in your soul you thought was lost. That's exactly what happened here. Tasting the Livorno-style braciola, I saw my father again, intent on frying to perfection and then sautéing a slice of tender, juicy meat in tomato sauce. With the roast rabbit accompanied by stewed potatoes, scented with rosemary, my grandmother appeared, with her measured and expert gestures, the kind that transformed simple ingredients into unforgettable moments. For a few moments, I wasn't simply dining: I was rediscovering people, loved ones, and fragments of life that time had hidden beneath the dust of days. The cuisine at Osteria Bonanni doesn't seek special effects or unnecessary sophistication. It possesses something far rarer: authenticity, memory, and truth. It's a cuisine that speaks the language of Tuscan families, of Sundays that seemed eternal, of tables around which we learned the meaning of home. I left feeling as if I had embraced those who are no longer with us and rediscovered a part of myself I had forgotten. And, in that moment, I felt at the height of one of the most precious things life can offer: gratitude for the most beautiful memories. Thank you, Osteria Bonanni. You didn't just serve me dinner. You gave me back a piece of my heart. ❤️

08/11/2025: A very well-kept, welcoming place, with qualified and extremely friendly staff. Excellent, plentiful dishes. Prices are more than fair. We live far away, but when we're in the area, it's a regular stop. It's definitely worth it.

05/06/2026: We've been to this place twice. The interior is truly beautiful, with a peppery flavor and truly special wild boar. It's one of the few places in the area that serves Florentine steak, which unfortunately didn't meet our expectations because it wasn't grilled and therefore didn't deserve the name: it wasn't very tasty. The service was quite chaotic and rushed, and the waiters (who I believe are the owners) were quite careless. When we asked for a replacement for the broken salt grinder, they quickly replaced it with a pepper grinder, so much so that we had to wait for the waiter to replace it. While we were eating our main course, the waiter rushed by and took the oil from the table, which we had to promptly ask another waiter to replace. There were no placemats on the tables inside.

07/04/2026: Absolutely everything is perfect! The place, the kitchen and most importantly - the people who work and create this deliciousness! The pasta, the tripe are beyond praise! And the chocolate cake is the most delicious I have ever eaten in my life!!!! Thank you!

31/05/2026: It was May 17th, and after a lovely walk, we arrived at Cerù. Forty or fifty years ago, if I remember correctly, it was owned by the same company as the eponymous cured meat factory. It was a restaurant and offered rooms for rent. The current management doesn't rent rooms, and the actual restaurant is closed, but they serve cold dishes and also high-quality frozen products from a renowned Camaiore brand that are heated in the microwave... others do, but don't mention it. The bar has a large panoramic terrace and is an almost obligatory stop for hikers and mountain bikers. I remember we had a selection of hot and cold appetizers, and to follow, I had an excellent eggplant parmigiana... yes, sure, frozen and heated in the microwave, but truly excellent. The service wasn't restaurant-like, but it was friendly, not formal, just right for a bar that also offers food. I wouldn't call the price "cheap," but for the quality, quantity, and location, I'd say it was just right. I don't give it five stars on principle: the perfect place probably doesn't exist.

05/01/2026: Located in the heart of the historic center, yet conveniently located just a 3-minute walk away, with ample parking available free at night. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The hotel has a terrace overlooking the main square, where breakfast is served during the season, available for an additional fee. For the price paid in December, it's a very good value. It's a shame that, after a perfect night's sleep, at 7:10 a.m., a loud ticking sound from a pump behind our room (number 4) interrupted the perfect silence.

29/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for a short weekend in Florence, during our visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful and meticulously maintained, with immaculately clean and welcoming spaces. The staff is extremely kind, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, with quality products and a variety that demonstrates the attention paid to guests: even the wasa were included, a detail that truly makes a difference for those who appreciate a more complete and healthy choice. The superior room we were assigned was very beautiful, tastefully decorated in a classic style with antique furniture. The mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. We also appreciated the selection of wines and personal care products; we, in particular, purchased two excellent bottles. In short, everything was excellent: comfort, service, quality, and customer care. A stay we recommend without hesitation.

09/06/2026: My wife and I shared a wonderful experience. We stopped for dinner. The atmosphere is traditional, welcoming, and informal. Two rooms, the first overlooking the entrance, the second inside. The tagliatelle with black truffle, grated at the table at my request, was truly delicious. The tagliatelle with wild boar was equally delicious, perfectly cooked and served with plenty of wild boar ragù. For our main course, a "Peposo" (a type of pasta) was expertly cooked, perfectly flavored, and made with excellent quality meat. The wine list is excellent, with several options, including by the glass, and a very reasonable markup. The owner is kind and very attentive. The price wasn't expensive at all, considering it's in the center of Siena. It deserves 5 stars. We'll be back!

03/06/2026: We were very disappointed with the food. Initially, we were optimistic because of the positive Google reviews, and I was particularly pleased that vegan dishes were clearly marked on the menu, which is why we ultimately chose this restaurant. However, even the bruschetta was presented without any care. No basil, no onions or garlic; instead, there was bread that wasn't really crispy, with a little olive oil and tomatoes. Honestly, the bruschetta we make at home tastes better, and for significantly less money. Anyway, we were still looking forward to the main courses: vegan truffle pasta and a steak with truffles and potatoes on the side. But the pasta was completely bland, the truffle flavor barely perceptible. Overall, the dish was mostly oily and felt rather heavy in our stomachs afterward. On top of that, the pasta, which contrary to what was stated wasn't tagliatelle, wasn't cooked properly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who likes their pasta overcooked and not al dente—quite the opposite. But the pasta was still quite hard. A few days earlier, I had eaten vegan tagliatelle al tartufo in Florence, which tasted much more intense and creamy, which is why I was all the more disappointed with my dish. My boyfriend was also dissatisfied with his steak. He had ordered it medium-rare, but according to him, it was quite raw and arrived lukewarm, so he had to eat it cold after a few bites. The truffle flavor was rather subtle here as well. The potatoes were barely seasoned but otherwise okay. With the steak and the pasta, you're paying extra for an ingredient you can hardly taste. It's a real shame. Five euros for a 0.3l Coke is also quite a steep price. The waiter was friendly, but we waited quite a long time for our food. That would have been fine if it had been prepared with care and tasted good. All in all, a disappointing restaurant experience.

03/06/2026: My experience at this place was not good. When I asked a simple question about whether they had internet access, one of the women working there responded very rudely and was visibly upset, creating an awkward and unnecessary moment. I believe that customer service is essential, even for basic inquiries, and apparently, from what I've read, this is a recurring issue. As for the food, it was okay, but nothing particularly noteworthy or memorable.

25/05/2026: Cold pasta and hard. Came right out of a microwave. Ordered tortellini and it came very small portioned with 4 tortellinis hard and cold. Ordered lasagna and it came cold in the middle. Ordered only water tortellini and lasagna and total came out to 42 euros. They shoud not have charged us for the uneaten pasta and when mentioned to server she did not care. Not a good place for a meal or service.

25/05/2026: Worst meal since we have been in the area. Lasagna tasted like it was out of the microwave and had a cold spot in the middle. Did not eat the dish and still was charged. DO NOT EAT HERE plenty of other places to go.

10/04/2026: This was surprisingly forgettable. Not awful or bad, just not memorable at all. Our waiter was probably 14 years old. Really. It was cute because it's a family run place. When I asked him for a Brunello recommendation, he had an answer with confidence, but that wine turned out to be pretty whimsy (no body) especially for a Brunello. He spilled it when he poured, and had the social skills of an eighth grader, naturally. Carpaccio was pretty good and quite generous. Bruschete was kind of bland. Margherita pizza was fair (by Italian standards). Pana Cotta was quite good. We appreciated very much that they had about a dozen wines sold by the glass. Prices were reasonable.
