14/05/2026: I've eaten at this restaurant several times. The food is good, the place is welcoming, and summer is even better with an outdoor space surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are fair, and the portions are generous. I recommend it. And if you're lucky, you might even see the castle ghost 🏰.

25/02/2026: The atmosphere is beautiful and super welcoming, and the food is excellent: you can choose from a variety of dishes, and the menu is truly extensive. The background music makes everything more pleasant and even fun. The waitresses are very helpful and kind, welcoming us with great courtesy, and even the little dogs were a joy!! The prices are fair, and the location is perfect. We'll definitely be back, a well-deserved 5 stars!

24/02/2026: The food was good, and the background music was 5-star. Unfortunately, the presence of the dog, which was passed from the owner's hands to those of the waitress and then into the kitchen, is definitely something the restaurant could really do without. Furthermore, the prices are very high, and an incorrect item was included on the bill, which we only noticed later.

08/04/2026: Well... We didn't like it. Very mediocre. The food wasn't anything special, and we waited forever to order. We weren't even given a menu once we were seated. And then there's the thing about them not keeping separate bills... I live abroad, and it's the norm to keep separate bills, and thank God, it's been here for a few decades now, too. I don't understand why we always have to stay in the Middle Ages. We definitely won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

20/04/2026: Positive review for our stay at this hotel. Despite booking late, there were no problems. We even had dinner the night we arrived. Excellent food, very friendly staff, a plentiful breakfast, and cleanliness. Recommended.

08/04/2026: A restaurant in the center of Poppi, adjacent to the Castle. A simple and charming place, with friendly, polite, and attentive service. The Florentine steak and cuts are top-quality and expertly cooked, and the side dishes are also excellent. The prices are very fair for the quality and service. Definitely recommended.

12/07/2025: Che dire ….. locale carino in un borgo del Chianti, cucina a mio avviso nella media , preso un crostino nero toscano….da toscano dico …no , tonno di coniglio dove ho trovato pezzettini di ossa … e due filetti dove si era chiesto connatura al sangue…..e non lo era….in compenso la carne buona ma a mio giudizio nella norma. Servizio , ok i ragazzi di Sala molto gentili, la ragazza che ha preso l’ordine un po’ “ scocciata “ non proprio in linea con il resto del personale. Mi aspettavo qualcosa in più, prezzi adeguati a ciò che viene offerto. …non credo tornerò…..

31/07/2025: Visitamos este encantador restaurante el día después de nuestra boda. Éramos dos parejas con nuestros bebés pequeños. La comida que pedimos era preciosa, el personal era brillante y todo el entorno era hermoso. Lamentablemente, nuestra cena fue arruinada por la mesa de al lado que parecía pensar que los niños deberían ser vistos y no escuchados. Cuando esta mesa nos dijo que lleváramos a nuestros bebés afuera porque eran fuertes (NO llorando solo haciendo ruidos que no eran más fuertes que ese grupo de personas) el gerente trató con esto excepcionalmente. Solo quería decir que estamos tan agradecidos con la forma en que usted y su personal trataron este asunto, que es un crédito para su restaurante. Y si la gente que estaba a nuestro lado está leyendo esto, entonces recuerde que puede elegir vivir una vida sin hijos, pero no puede vivir en un mundo sin hijos.

30/07/2025: Restaurant mit schöner Atmosphäre, aufgeteilt in verschiedene Räume in einem Kellergewölbe, ansprechend dekoriert und beleuchtet. Zuvorkommender Service, Speisen sehr lecker.

06/04/2026: We ate at this restaurant today. A Volterra soup that was truly awful and a small portion. Two pizzas, also thin and dry, seemed frozen. A spaghetti with stracciatella, pistachio, and truffle. Nothing special.

28/02/2026: Terrible. The food is terrible: pizzas that aren't real pizzas, but taste like they're frozen. An appetizer for five people cost us €12 per person: two half slices of salami, a few pieces of cheese, and two raw zucchini. Disgusting. We paid as much as we would for a steak. Never again. Close down!

13/05/2026: What do you mean, we came for dinner!! For the first time, we had a spectacular pizza with truffles, burrata, and fantastic calzones. Delicious, unique pizza. 5 stars for sure. Very kind staff.

08/11/2025: A very well-kept, welcoming place, with qualified and extremely friendly staff. Excellent, plentiful dishes. Prices are more than fair. We live far away, but when we're in the area, it's a regular stop. It's definitely worth it.

05/01/2026: Located in the heart of the historic center, yet conveniently located just a 3-minute walk away, with ample parking available free at night. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The hotel has a terrace overlooking the main square, where breakfast is served during the season, available for an additional fee. For the price paid in December, it's a very good value. It's a shame that, after a perfect night's sleep, at 7:10 a.m., a loud ticking sound from a pump behind our room (number 4) interrupted the perfect silence.

29/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for a short weekend in Florence, during our visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful and meticulously maintained, with immaculately clean and welcoming spaces. The staff is extremely kind, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, with quality products and a variety that demonstrates the attention paid to guests: even the wasa were included, a detail that truly makes a difference for those who appreciate a more complete and healthy choice. The superior room we were assigned was very beautiful, tastefully decorated in a classic style with antique furniture. The mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. We also appreciated the selection of wines and personal care products; we, in particular, purchased two excellent bottles. In short, everything was excellent: comfort, service, quality, and customer care. A stay we recommend without hesitation.

08/05/2026: Unfortunately, a disappointment. We ordered lobster with spaghetti. After we pointed this out to the waiter, it turned out to be more like spaghetti with lobster sauce. There was hardly any lobster flavor. The portions were also rather small. Otherwise, the location was very quiet and the staff very friendly. But the menu was very disappointing.
