15/09/2024: What was supposed to be amazing birthday dinner turned into a night of horror and disgust which left me with trauma for life when I ate dinner at this restaurant. I messaged ahead of the reservation to confirm they served gluten free and vegetarian food. I have been vegetarian my entire life, never had meat or shellfish. Once I ordered my vegetarian dish at the restaurant, food appeared and I started eating. Soon after I realized that this wasn’t the dish I ordered and I confronted the server hoping for him to prove me wrong. Unfortunately they had given me shellfish with my pasta and I couldn’t tell the difference until it was too late. Since I never had shellfish in my life, i didn’t know I could be possibly allergic to it. I started to hyperventilate and later that night my throat started to close up and rash appeared on my neck and cheeks. I threw up all night long and all of this was caused by carelessness of the server, the chef and my own lack of ability to differentiate between a meat dish and a vegetarian dish. I had high hopes but now I am so disappointed in this establishment. This incident goes to show how little attention they pay to people’s life threatening allergies and dietary restrictions when they claim to be one of the best in town. I am glad I found out that I’m allergic to crustaceans but I wish I didn’t have to find it this way. I hope everyone learnt a valuable lesson at my expense. PLEASE pay attention to allergies. Due to your negligence, Someone’s life could be in grave danger if they’re severely allergic to something.

28/04/2025: At Stracotto, you can eat really well. Whether it's a family dinner or a party with friends, you honestly couldn't ask for anything better. High quality dishes from appetizers to desserts, excellent livers and cold cuts, an amazing cacio e pepe and honorable mention for the steak. Great courtesy from the dining room staff and it is located a stone's throw from the Duomo. Overcooked, highly recommended

14/05/2025: Very good food, well-seasoned, and reasonably priced. Friendly service, decent house wine. We drove 3,100 km through Italy and ate in several trattorias, but nowhere was better.

06/06/2025: Absolutely gorgeous meal here this evening! The braised cheek and fillet steak were both delicious as were the home made puddings. The house red wine was lovely, the staff were friendly and the service was great. Best meal of our holiday so far! Thoroughly recommend. 😊

06/05/2025: Today I had lunch in the outdoor area of ​​the “Casa Gala” wine bar restaurant overlooking the delightful little square of Montecatini Alto. I was welcomed and followed by Andrea, a guy you would like to meet in every restaurant: polite, welcoming, politely witty and who, despite the workload, did not spare smiles. Thanks Andrea but also to the rest of the staff. The “pici with anchovies” dish is recommended (I simplified the name). See photo.

28/04/2025: L'esperienza mia e della mia amica alla Trattoria Sant'Omobono è stata a dir poco superlativa. Siamo stati trattati benissimo dal cameriere Nicolò che si è preso cura di noi durante tutta la serata. Il cibo era squisito e la vista sulla cucina da una finestrella era qualcosa di poetico e caratteristico. È stato un piacere per gli occhi vedere i nostri piatti preparati con così tanto amore. Il posto non sarà molto capiente ma mangiare in un ambiente così intimo è solo che positivo a mio parere. Da provare assolutamente se si visita Pisa. Grazie ancora a chi ci lavora, in particolare a Nicolò🫶🏻 Ps cucina ovviamente tradizionale

18/04/2025: Este restaurante aparece en varias listas de 'los mejores restaurantes de Pisa', pero es difícil ver por qué. Es tradicional pero también muy básico. Esto no quiere decir que sea malo, pero si usted está buscando algo más que una comida barata, 'satisfactoria', yo buscaría en otro lugar. No hay carta de vinos, hay un menú corto para la comida, y la comida en sí está "bien", pero nada especial. El precio sin embargo es muy bueno, así que si usted está buscando una cena asequible, este es el lugar!

21/04/2025: Avevo due ospiti Veneti amanti della famosa Bistecca alla Fiorentina e dopo la prenotazione del tavolo che se vuoi mangiare diventa obbligatoria siamo andati un poco prima dell'orario classico del pranzo in modo di stare più tranquilli e ordinare in santa pace. Abbiamo mangiati i soliti antipasti Toscani con i classici crostini e dei salumi ottimi con un Prosciutto Toscano tagliato a mano eccezionale . Di primo Ribollita e poi due Bistecche al sangue meravigliose . Dessert la loro torta di mele fantastica e caffè fatto con la caffettiera e servito in piccoli recipienti di metallo e smaltati come erano una volta anche le pentole o i tegami .

15/04/2025: Vinimos aquí por recomendación como la mejor pasta en Florencia. ¿Por dónde empiezo? El personal era bastante desagradable, pero nos pareció una mesa (reserva con antelación si quieres comer aquí). No se prestó asistencia para traducir el menú. Siento ser turista, así que me disculpo por necesitar un poco de ayuda con esto. La comida era bastante mediocre - podría haber cocinado esto en casa desde el armario de la tienda. Las porciones eran mediocres también. ¡Lo mejor está por venir! Mientras esperábamos a que nos entregaran nuestra comida, la silla de mi marido cedió y lo depositó en el suelo (¡tiene más de 60 años por el amor de Dios! ) nadie parecía demasiado preocupado ya que se sentó allí en el suelo en shock. De hecho, para añadir insulto a la lesión, la camarera estaba más preocupada por la silla volteadora! ¡Le dejaron encontrar su propia silla de reemplazo también! Honestamente no puedo creer lo pobre que fue el servicio aquí. Supongo que este lugar depende un poco de los visitantes turísticos. Realmente no se sintió como esta noche. Lleve sus euros a algún lugar que valore más a sus huéspedes que los muebles.

19/05/2025: we took a chianina: nothing to say! terrible! overcooked on the outside and dry, blood was coming out from the inside. we also took some Florentine peas that they took off our bill because they had oversalted them. good baked potatoes, the male waiters were very rude. we won't be returning.

19/05/2025: Un ottimo ristorante con servizio e cibo di lusso ma con prezzi bassi, straconsigliato. Appena arrivati ci hanno offerto un entre’ con humus ricoperto di verdure, varie qualità di pane e burro da spalmare. Poi abbiamo ricevuto un trattamento da Signori(nonostante io fossi pure in tuta😬), con la ragazza che ci ha portato i due calici di vino e versato acqua nei due bicchieri ed il ragazzo che ci illustrato alla perfezione le varie portate. Abbiamo preso un antipasto tipico nel tagliere,una fiorentina, due calici di vino, un litro d’acqua e due caffe. Antipasto molto buono con dei crostini, affettati vari(tra cui la finocchiona che spacca)formaggi e salsa fruttata(marmellata di frutti misti) e con erbetta di rapa che era veramente azzeccata e molto buona(non l’avevo mai mangiata) La fiorentina era spettacolare, servita con deliziose patate arrosto e uno stufato di verdure. Insieme ai due caffè ci hanno offerto , con positivissima sorpresa, 4 mignon. Ma la sorpresa maggiore e’ stato il conto. Visto il trattamento, la location e soprattutto (fidandomi delle positive recensioni) non avendo visto i prezzi nel menù, ci aspettavamo di spendere dai 140 euro in su. In realtà ne abbiamo spesi “solo” 116, di cui 70 per la fiorentina. Ci tornerei volentieri e lo straconsglierei a chiunque. Complimenti a proprietario e staff

08/05/2025: Su consiglio di un amico abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante meraviglioso,in un posto bellissimo sulla piazza. Il cibo eccellente, il servizio ineccepibile. Complimenti, tutto perfetto.

09/03/2025: Family-run place with a rustic atmosphere. In summer you can enjoy the large terrace with a spectacular view over the whole of Arezzo. The pizza is cooked in a wood oven, truly digestible and generously seasoned. The meat was delicious and cooked on the grill. The first courses and other classic dishes are delicious. The service was impeccable and very helpful. Prices are low. The bathrooms are very large.

14/01/2025: New Year's Eve evening on the hills of Arezzo in a rustic and simple setting with excellent cuisine and spectacular views of the city. A priceless outdoor area for the summer months. Friendly and polite staff, very honest prices. Well done everyone and keep it up.
