We were just passing through. We only had a quick appetizer platter for two. It was very good. (I'm German and I'm not used to having to pay an extra €2.50 per person for cutlery. That was the only thing that bothered me.)

The atmosphere is homey, as is the typical local cuisine. The owner and staff are friendly and polite, and you eat a lot and you spend well. The only caveat: you eat too much 😉😉🙃

Average lunch The restaurant is very basic, the service could be improved, the appetizer and steak were quite good, but the price was definitely too high.

Great place, I highly recommend it! The food is good, the prices aren't cheap, and if you plan to go, make a reservation or you risk having to wait up to half an hour for a seat.

We stumbled upon it today by chance and fell in love. One of those places that have sadly become rare, without frills, without unnecessary frills... friendly service, good food, and generous portions. Chef Andrea is extremely kind, the prices are affordable; if we're ever in the area again, it'll be a must-visit.

05/07/2026: I and the good lady have eaten here twice and on both occasions have had a simply delicious time. The menu is typically Florentine and wholesome, a delicious meal with either a bottle or a carafe of a local wine is for the taking. The owner herself and her staff are friendly and accommodating. The venue is quirky, homely, cosy, quiet and because it's situated by the local antiques market appears to have been furnished in a very unique style from that market!? All in all a delightful place to go for lunch or supper, you won't regret it!
02/06/2026: Lovely place ! Very different from other restaurants in Florence, with owner very much involved and being around the clients. Delicious food and nice atmosphere

Ristorante Antica Sosta A Combiate

09/06/2026: The Prussian steak was truly delicious, tender and flavorful! The first courses were a bit more unremarkable, although the pasta was high-quality and fresh!
16/05/2026: Highly recommended!!! Superlative quality. Excellent service. Beautiful and well-kept atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
