12/05/2026: Honest review, I expected more from this restaurant because I saw the award on the counter( Registro Eccellenze Italiane 2022-2023). The waiter was really nice and friendly. However after repeated 3/4 times the order, in the end he still forgot our side dish. This is after reminding another waiter that we’re still waiting for our side dish. Half way through eating, we asked if the side dish is coming anytime soon(it was the sauteed chicory) we got replied ‘oh it wasnt in the system’. No assurance from them, I try to calm myself because its just human error. Move one to the mains, we had the spicy beef stew, wild boar stew, Pici Cacio E Pepe to share between us. Wild boar was super dry and hard, worst is its freakin salty. I tried to eat it with the bread but even the breads were stale. And my jaw just couldnt. I dont like wasting food. Flavour was just okay but too salty. I told the waiter about it just as a feedback, and i did not expect any discount or replacement. I just got ‘well its just how it is’. Next day i went to another place (to make sure that if that level of saltiness is normal) for the exact same dish, and it taste better. Maybe I was just in their bad days🤷🏻‍♀️ So take it as you wish. 09/05/2026: BEWARE! These 'gentlemen' have the habit of weighing Florentine steaks not directly on the scales but using a serving dish on which they place the meat and weigh it. So you will pay about 250/300g more, or between €20 and €30 for the weight of the dish... We saw some customers do it while waiting for the bill and we had doubts about ours, which clearly didn't weigh 1700g but was approximately 1200/1300g as reported by the waiter. They should be obliged to think this out in front of you, unfortunately we were the ones who trusted them, and we were wrong. A real markup! A shame because the food is good.

12/05/2026: Don’t eat here. 15-20 minutes for waiter to approach table. He insisted we order food and then wine, even though we told him we were ready to order both. Risotto with pumpkin was flavorless. The oriechette with broccoli and anchovies lacked anchovies. Be warned: they do not let customers take home leftover food that they have paid for. There are many good restaurants in Siena. This is not one of them.

11/05/2026: The pici were delicious, but the gnocchi dish wasn't so good today. Also, the waiter wasn't very friendly. He felt rushed; even turning away and leaving while I was speaking was rude. The location itself, however, is very charming.

05/01/2026: A positive experience for our Christmas 2025 lunch, good value for money. The tortellini in broth were excellent, as were the mezze maniche with ragù. The tender duck breast was unique and truly delicious, and the roast meat was varied in both quality and quantity.

24/06/2025: Breakfast needs improvement. We were expecting a farm with local products, but none of that was offered. The interior of the accommodation needs updating! The location and the view are fantastic!

11/05/2026: Nice place, friendly waiters. The mixed Tuscan crostini were mediocre, and the ribollita had too much tomato sauce, which overpowered the flavor of the other ingredients. This was also mediocre. I won't be returning.

01/05/2026: May 1, 2026 I was very disappointed and disappointed with this experience. A place is judged by its welcome, and in this regard, they were truly terrible. It was certainly a holiday and the number of people waiting had to be taken into account. However, after receiving a very rude and impolite response from the reception staff, I chose to go to another restaurant. And I'm sure I won't be returning!

11/03/2026: CASALE TUSCANO Tuscany trip. For our dinner, we've booked at Vecchio Casale ai Pioppi, a typical Tuscan trattoria nestled in the heart of the Viareggio countryside. The atmosphere is traditional and elegant, and the waiter is enterprising, sometimes over-the-top, but friendly. First, a bottle of still water and a bottle of red wine. We're going for the classic, a 2022 Chianti DOCG from Azienda L'Erta in Radda - Radda in Chianti (SI). It's delicious. Our dinner can begin with a mixed house antipasto. A series of dishes served in quick (but not too quick) succession. A platter of mixed cold cuts (prosciutto crudo, finocchiona, salami, and coppa), condiglione, a small bowl of flavored olives, crostini with chicken liver pâté, and some melon boats, followed by other hot dishes: zucchini quiche, squares of polenta with mushrooms, another leek quiche, and potato and cheese croquettes. The appetizers were generous, but could be improved. The crostini with pâté and the cold cuts were excellent, paired with an excellent basket of bread and focaccia, but the other dishes were less intriguing, perhaps too vintage. We continued the dinner by sharing a Tagliata served bone-in on a wooden cutting board with a side of baked potatoes. The meat was rare, as we requested, and again, a generous portion; I'd say it was a good dish. We ordered two coffees and the bill. The total cost was €100. Overall, a decent dinner, the abundance was appreciable, but the quality/price ratio was unconvincing.

26/03/2026: La Taverna di Bibbiano is one of those places that seems to have been lifted straight from a postcard in the Sienese countryside, yet it has a touch of authenticity that's often missing from overly touristy establishments. Located between Colle di Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano, with a view of the vineyards that's worth the trip alone, the Taverna's cuisine embraces a revisited take on rural tradition. As you can see from the photos, I ordered a plate of ricotta and spinach-filled ravioli wrapped in a delicate pumpkin cream, a perfect pairing that creates an incredibly balanced contrast between sweet and savory. For my second course, a perfectly golden and crispy chicken roulade, sliced ​​to reveal the rich filling inside. The juicy chicken, flavorful sausage, and strips of candied orange peel, which add a touch of color and a citrusy aroma, are clearly visible. The dish is served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and garnished with crunchy pistachio crumbs, creating a truly fabulous combination for the palate. In summary, Location: Enchanting, with a breathtaking view of the hills and San Gimignano. Quality: Excellent ingredients. Atmosphere: Rustic yet refined, perfect for a romantic or family dinner. Quality/Price Ratio: Fair, in line with the high quality offered. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

04/01/2026: A very beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view. Despite the weather, the staff made my birthday party wonderful!! A very well-kept venue, with a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The waiters were professional, attentive, and helpful. The food was delicious and the kitchen was punctual. Highly recommended!

12/05/2026: Average lunch The restaurant is very basic, the service could be improved, the appetizer and steak were quite good, but the price was definitely too high.

29/12/2025: I stayed at this property for one night at the end of December 2025. When I called, they told me they were closed but that they would give me the room anyway. Someone would be there to greet me and give me the room keys at my arrival time. That's what happened; I was given the keys and had to find the room myself because the girl had no idea what floor it was on. When I checked into my room at 6:30 PM, I immediately noticed that the two radiators were freezing. I called and was told that they were working during the day and would be turned on around 7:00 PM. I went out to dinner, and at 8:30 PM, the radiators were still cold. I left a message, which never received a response. The next morning, since I had the keys to the door and the exit shutter, I didn't know who to leave them with. I tried calling both numbers, but one was unavailable, and the other rang unanswered. So, I left a message. I never received a call back and no one ever responded to my message.

03/05/2026: This is a restaurant in Montecatini Terme where I had lunch with friends, and the dishes were exquisite and well-prepared. The prices aren't modest, but the kindness and friendliness of the owner are worth it.

16/03/2026: The food is terrible and it's very expensive. If you're from another country, they charge you for everything, even breathing. They're ripping you off. Don't eat there.
