31/07/2025: Ambiente gradevole e personale molto gentile menù molto limitato e prezzi esosi. Pici all'aglione buoni ma non abbondanti e un prezzo elevato (18 euro). Una lattina di Coca Cola 5 euro, un bicchiere di vino della casa 8 euro. Non lo consiglio nè ci tornerei.

20/02/2026: I came alone without a reservation, but was able to get in right away. Although there have been some negative reviews about the portion sizes and service, the pasta was just the right amount, the meat was rather generous and, above all, delicious, and the service was very friendly, with a smile on their face.

25/01/2026: An excellent restaurant for those seeking traditional cuisine, a favorite among Florentines. We dined at this superb restaurant twice during our week in Florence, slightly removed from the historic center and in the company of exclusively Italians. A fantastic menu, with expertly prepared dishes (from pasta to meat to traditional soup). Attentive service, a chef who connects with the customers, checking in to see if they are enjoying their meal. A must-try! Thank you to the team and the kitchen for their expertise.

27/02/2026: We stopped in Siena on a Thursday evening to eat and were impressed by the quality of the food and the courtesy and friendliness of the owner. Highly recommended.

17/01/2026: We ate at this restaurant for lunch in January. The atmosphere is quaint but very cold; the heating wasn't working. We immediately pointed this out, but nothing changed. The food was good, but not much; after two courses, you'll be left hungry. Despite the complaint and the fact that we ate in the cold, I expected a discount, which I would have appreciated.

09/12/2025: Family lunch yesterday, December 8th. Fantastic location, on the hills overlooking Florence, just below Monte Morello. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Simple but tasteful table setting. Attentive and very fast service. Recommended appetizers include mixed crostini and excellent Tuscan prosciutto. Among the first courses, the dish of the day was excellent: handmade tortelli filled with ricotta and yellow squash on a bed of taleggio cheese fondue. Less popular were the tagliolini with mushrooms, which weren't very flavorful, as were the tortelli mugellani with ragù. We opted for the house special: mixed fried chicken and (for a select few) rabbit with "ragnatela" (spider web), accompanied by mixed fried vegetables and hand-sliced ​​potatoes—delicious! The house wine and moka pot coffee were also good! We didn't try the desserts. A bit pricey, but considering the location, we expected it: €40 per person, including children.

21/03/2026: It's sad to see a historic venue in such a bad state. The way we were ignored and then treated by the waiters made it seem like we were bothering anyone who wanted to order. Oh, and of course, the prices are senselessly inflated.

08/03/2026: A truly authentic osteria in the heart of Buonconvento. The staff makes you feel right at home right away. We shared a plate of delicious gorgonzola and walnut dumplings, followed by a melt-in-the-mouth Florentine steak, accompanied by two delicious sides (artichokes and potatoes), and finished with a fantastic tiramisu and two local liqueurs recommended by the host. The house wine was also good. Fair prices. We will definitely return if we ever find ourselves in Buonconvento again.

They also have a gluten-free menu, which was much appreciated. The desserts were excellent, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. A place where you can eat really well and have a great time!

Tagliata di Manzo... The meat was simply perfect, just to my taste. I would eat there again in a heartbeat. This restaurant is absolutely underrated. Dogs are allowed.

11/03/2026: CASALE TUSCANO Tuscany trip. For our dinner, we've booked at Vecchio Casale ai Pioppi, a typical Tuscan trattoria nestled in the heart of the Viareggio countryside. The atmosphere is traditional and elegant, and the waiter is enterprising, sometimes over-the-top, but friendly. First, a bottle of still water and a bottle of red wine. We're going for the classic, a 2022 Chianti DOCG from Azienda L'Erta in Radda - Radda in Chianti (SI). It's delicious. Our dinner can begin with a mixed house antipasto. A series of dishes served in quick (but not too quick) succession. A platter of mixed cold cuts (prosciutto crudo, finocchiona, salami, and coppa), condiglione, a small bowl of flavored olives, crostini with chicken liver pâté, and some melon boats, followed by other hot dishes: zucchini quiche, squares of polenta with mushrooms, another leek quiche, and potato and cheese croquettes. The appetizers were generous, but could be improved. The crostini with pâté and the cold cuts were excellent, paired with an excellent basket of bread and focaccia, but the other dishes were less intriguing, perhaps too vintage. We continued the dinner by sharing a Tagliata served bone-in on a wooden cutting board with a side of baked potatoes. The meat was rare, as we requested, and again, a generous portion; I'd say it was a good dish. We ordered two coffees and the bill. The total cost was €100. Overall, a decent dinner, the abundance was appreciable, but the quality/price ratio was unconvincing.

23/02/2026: Coming back from Piombino, a very convenient location near the motorway exit. The friendly owner, who has some valuable bicycles in his car, let us park near the entrance to keep an eye on them. Fast service, typical Tuscan dishes, and a great atmosphere.

18/07/2025: Fantastische lokatie met uitzicht op Piazza Grande in Arezzo. Groot terras. In de middag een goede cocktail gehad en in de avond een diner. Niet geboekt en we konden meteen terecht, er was tevens herkenning van onze aanwezigheid eerder die dag. Menu is varierend en de opmaak is heel goed - gerechten zijn boven verwachting. Echt een aanrader voor een bezoek aan Arezzo. Wordt aangeschreven als duur maar niet in vergelijking met de menukaart in Noord-west Europa.
