This was our last Italian dinner in Tuscany. What a beautiful place, great staff, good Italian music and outstanding meals. We even thanked the kitchen staff. Absolutely a must try when in Tuscany!

An osteria nestled in the Chianti region where you can enjoy an exceptional sunset over the vineyards while eating Tuscan cuisine delicacies. The atmosphere is very characteristic, right from the "uscio e bottega" (in Tuscan dialect, "door" and "shop"), with a delightful portico with fairy lights, a rustic atmosphere, and the small church nearby. The menu, presented in old recipe books, is unique!!! The portions are generous. The appetizers with platters are exceptional, with excellent cured meats and cheeses. The coccoli with prosciutto is also unmissable. Traditional Tuscan first courses, such as pici, tagliatelle, and risottos. The dish I find irresistible is the "fritto dell'aia" (a typical Tuscan dish) with chicken, rabbit, and vegetables. The tagliata (a typical Tuscan steak) is also delicious!! The desserts are always very inviting, but I have a hard time getting to them 😅.

Service was incredible and food was spectacular! Highly recommend the Coccoli Fritto as an entree. Make a reservation. The place gets full early. A bit pricey if you’re used to prices in Rome, though; but I guess that’s normal in Tuscany.

Genuine good food and reasonable prices. Try the starter with fried pizza dough, cheese and prosciutto, and the sliced beef for main course. One of our best experiences during the trip so far. Book ahead via WhatsApp, the place gets booked quickly.
