20/05/2026: We went to this restaurant with friends for the second time on Sunday, May 17, 2026. We had a truly wonderful meal. Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Fair prices. I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: My cousin Luca and I decided to take a motorcycle ride together, leaving from my house in Fauglia to head to San Gimignano. Beautiful roads, a blooming season, a sunny day, and... a million people who had made the same choice as us, going to San Gimignano. Having motorcycles didn't do us any good; we ended up getting a fine for "parking" them in a corner where they weren't a nuisance but weren't in a "permitted" space. A bit of anger toward a city council that doesn't understand that, when access to the city is limited, a bit of flexibility is needed. After all, we're there to bring in tourist money. Well, that aside, we chose a slightly less central restaurant to avoid the crowds: "Il Pino." Elegant, with tables on a side street with no traffic and not too many people. We sat at unattractive tables and chairs without tablecloths, which didn't match the high-end restaurant prices. Fortunately, the food is excellent, with a wide selection without being overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and close-knit, which is evident from the fact that it's a long-standing family business that also includes a B&B. I asked permission to photograph and tour the place, and they very kindly said yes. The rooms are very beautiful and include a beautifully renovated former stable. All in all, a very pleasant experience that I recommend. The only reason I didn't give it full marks was the lackluster nature of the table.

05/05/2026: We stopped by on a whim and pushed open the door because the menu looked so tempting. We were so glad we did for lunch. The asparagus and truffle risotto was excellent, and the stuffed pigeon was sublime. The wine pairings were superb! Kudos and thanks to the waiter for his generosity in sharing his regional specialties.

06/06/2026: This is a Michelin-starred restaurant. They serve authentic Tuscan cuisine. I went there for dinner. I had the mozzarella cheese flan, PICI pasta with tomato sauce, Bistecca Fiorentina, and lemon sorbet. Everything was exquisite. I would love to come back.

30/05/2026: First off, I highly recommend this place!!! We had duck steak, fish risotto, cheesecake, and desserts like dark chocolate choux, and the fish risotto was absolutely delicious!!! The fish was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—and the celery in the risotto was the real highlight! Unfortunately, the duck steak was just okay for my taste because it had a ducky smell, but if you enjoy that kind of flavor, I think you'll love it! I just recommend trying the desserts (especially the dark chocolate choux with mascarpone cream cheese filling—I can't remember the name, but I highly recommend that one!!!) Lastly, the service here is so good that I want to recommend it to my friends as well! (From the complimentary aperitif to the server's kindness, it was the best service I've ever experienced in Florence👍🏻)

08/04/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for years, and Daniele and Lisa have always been super kind to me! Their spicy octopus penne is delicious. The location is very clean and tidy.

08/04/2026: We had a great lunch here! Food was incredible, great wine selection, excellent service and a amazing atmosphere. We also had our two month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. We ordered the timballo rustico, pici ragù, and lamb with the side of the day (seasonal asparagus).

16/05/2026: An excellent restaurant. We had guinea pig, lamb, octopus, and pasta with white truffle. Everything was perfectly prepared. We were lucky and found a table; if you arrive too late, you'll be sold out.

13/05/2026: The food was really good. I recommend the tagliatelle with truffles, which are delicious. The roast potatoes and the tagliata were also excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. Thank you!

13/04/2026: Dinner with friends at our farmhouse restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine: traditional dishes, well-executed. I really appreciated that the second courses included and paired with a side dish. The duck breast with sweet and sour sauce and purple cabbage was a huge hit, with crispy skin and tender meat.

We tried the burrata, cacio e pepe, and spaghetti, and we also had the house wine — everything was delicious! I highly recommend it, and I only regret discovering this place on my last day in Florence. I hope to come back one day!

27/05/2026: I went to Hosteria Ganino on the recommendation of a Florentine colleague, and what a fantastic place! Easily the best steak we had on the trip; I regret not going more often. The service is very good and the food incredible. We ordered the bistecca alla fiorentina (€59/kg), fries, and the house wine; everything was perfect.
