09/08/2025: Popped in here on our first night in Florence! From the outside it doesn’t look like much but once you enter you are welcomed with friendly smiles from staff & shown to your table! The staff were friendly & the food was absolutely delicious! We are doing a tour of Italy & this is by far the best pasta dishes we have had on our trip from Naples, Rome then to Florence! Great selection to choose from including drinks! Brilliant little place to stop off!

09/08/2025: We were almost alone. It's true that it was a little later than usual for Italians, but it was sensational. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even showing us their new Italian recipe book. We ate really well. My ossobuco was exquisite. Despite being centrally located, it could be considered too touristy, but that's not the case, and in fact, it was recommended to us by Italian friends. It was a good experience that we will definitely repeat.

03/08/2025: What an extraordinary discovery! We stumbled upon it almost by chance, guided by the excellent reviews, and were thrilled. The food is excellent, the service impeccable: attentive, kind, and with a touch of warmth. The village in which it's located is enchanting. We enjoyed the best Florentine steak of our lives, and the "Cioccolato a Contrasto" dessert was simply unforgettable.

13/07/2025: I stayed for a short vacation, and the room I was given was spacious, clean, and cool (it has air conditioning). Even though the B&B is close to the road, I slept wonderfully at night, without hearing a sound. The bathroom was fully equipped, clean, and provided with complimentary toiletries. In the morning, I'd never seen such a breakfast, which to call abundant is an understatement: in addition to the classic slices of bread, butter, and jam, there were also cured meats, cheeses, pickles, bruschetta (I loved the tuna one), tripe with tomato sauce, scrambled eggs, various pastries, and slices of cake. As for drinks, there was local red wine, cappuccino, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice. In short, it was more than just breakfast, it was a proper brunch! Upon my arrival, I also had lunch: typical Tuscan and other home-style cuisine, with generous portions. I absolutely fell in love with the Chianti beef stew. The place is very quiet, the service is fast and attentive, and the staff is incredibly kind and always ready to offer advice. Davide and Lello were truly kind, hospitable, and available to offer suggestions on places to visit or where to dine (it's only open for lunch). I'm so sad to have to go home, but if I ever have the chance to pass through these parts again (and I certainly won't miss the opportunity, since I'm already thinking about visiting other places in the area 😅), the B&B Osteria "Il Ceppo" will be a must-visit. ❤️

La padrona di casa, signora Sabrina è fantastica, professionale , simpatica , disponibilissima ad esaudire le richieste dei clienti. Rapporto qualità prezzo perfetto . 17/07/2025: I had lunch here a few days ago, and it was a truly positive experience. The food was good, the dishes were carefully prepared, but the waiter made the difference with his kindness and helpfulness. He showed great care and attention to us, a friendliness and professionalism that made all the difference.

13/08/2025: Not sure why everyone liked this place. I think the my were understaffed when we got there. I learned that I’m not a fan of Florentine steak. It’s not nearly as tender and flavorful as Japanese Wagyu yet they cook it rare. It’s quite chewy (this is everywhere you go not just this place). For me the entire experience was meh maybe because it was 93 degrees outside at 9pm.

09/08/2025: Excellent address, a little off-center. Very warm welcome, lovely setting, and delicious, generous dishes. Agnolotti for starters and tuna for main course. Beautiful and tasty. Just one small downside... the music is annoying. But I'd do it again.

12/07/2025: Este lugar es fantástico. Mi esposa y yo fuimos a almorzar cerca del final del horario de cocina establecido, no dijeron nada y la cocina permaneció abierta. Cada bocado fue perfecto. Hay un aceite de oliva especial que puedes probar por un cargo adicional elaborado con los 27 árboles de la propiedad y los alrededores de la ciudad. ¡Vale la pena! No te pierdas este lugar, uno de los mejores de la zona.

20/07/2025: A very interesting place in all respects: very nice, cozy, intimate 👍 exquisite dishes and beautiful presentation. The restaurant specializes in seafood/fish, mostly raw seafood. Everything is fresh 👌 At first we didn't understand and ordered shrimp for the child, they brought them raw, but after our request they kindly set them on fire 😍👍 Water and wine for drinks, no juices/lemonades. We really liked it here 👍😊

06/08/2025: Da Rosolo – Lucca’s best dining experience Of all the places we ate in Lucca, Da Rosolo was without a doubt the place where we had the best food. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, especially on warm summer evenings, when the restaurant is almost always full to the last seat. Therefore, a table reservation is an absolute must – the staff really make an effort to find a seat for everyone, but without a reservation you risk having to wait a long time or going in vain. The staff are incredibly attentive and stop by several times to make sure everything is as it should be. The wine list is good and varied, although wine is not necessarily the main focus. The menu offers many delicious dishes, and there is something for everyone. We ate here with children, and both the kitchen and the staff were especially attentive to them. They were welcomed with smiles, and they loved the food – a big plus for families who want to have a good experience together.

17/07/2025: We were looking for an osteria, and we found it! When we went, I was worried it would be the usual tourist-friendly place. However, once inside, I realized it's absolutely authentic, fully reflecting what a trattoria should be: few frills and plenty of substance. So don't expect a refined atmosphere, but rather a warm, helpful staff. But let's get to the reason we're here: the food. Everything is simple, tasty, but not heavy. It feels like dinner at your aunt's, the one who cooks well. Simple dishes, the fruit of imagination and home-made care. The pici with mushrooms and sausage were excellent, the fried chicken and rabbit were good, and I'd say the fried zucchini flowers were fresh and fried well. Even the side dish, beans, and the dessert, tiramisu, reflect the spirit of the place. Well-made. In short, just steps from the city center squares, there's this corner of paradise for those who, like me, seek substance over appearance. The service is quick and attentive, with little touches that brought a pleasant smile to our faces. Ah, the bill. Honest. An appetizer, a first course, a second course, a side dish, dessert, house wine, and water: €68. It doesn't get much more honest than that.
