15/03/2026: From the outside and the reviews, I thought it was a less touristy place, but I was wrong. Small and touristy, but poor quality. We ordered two starters, where the pasta was overcooked and tasteless, a meat-based main course, the only good thing being the good-quality cherry tomatoes, and a dessert that, at the end of the meal, was decent. The price was over €20 per person, which was excessive for the quality of the ingredients.

13/03/2026: The waiter (I think Luigi himself) was super friendly and made for a very pleasant dinner. Not only were we served very well, but the food was also really delicious! Definitely recommended!

17/02/2026: The atmosphere is very formal, more like a restaurant than a trattoria, as is the €3 per person cover charge. The menu, however, is typically trattoria-style, simple and limited, a sign of the focus on raw ingredients. We ordered a hot appetizer with the addition of cardoons, artichokes, and sage, a first course from the menu, reginette with anchovies, and two off-menu first courses, spaghetti with red mullet and fennel, and busiate with macco and shrimp. The fried pasta was delicious, dry and crispy, and the first course with anchovies was good, but unfortunately the other two were disappointing. The busiate were topped with macco, to which five raw shrimp were added, nothing more. The result is that you eat pasta with macco and every now and then a bite with a shrimp added. The macco was missing the kick that would capture the flavor of the shrimp. The same thing happened with the spaghetti with red mullet, which lacked the unmistakable flavor of this fish that you'd expect when ordering a red mullet dish. The wine selection by the glass was excellent. It's a shame, because the many positive reviews suggest a different kind of experience.

15/03/2026: I didn't expect this spot in the heart of Chinatown. Very cozy. Friendly service. The caponata and the tomato salad are highly recommended. As is the pizza.

24/02/2026: Very welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. I had 2 dishes and both were pure indulgence. Anchovy pasta to perfection and Sicilian meatballs were melt in the mouth. Recommended wine for each course too. Can’t fault this traditional lovely restaurant. Real cooking here!

05/03/2026: Amazing cannoli and arancini...and more. The white cassata was a bit disappointing. More comfortable than the same place inside the debased central market...long live intensive tourism!

04/03/2026: We came here once and decided that we needed to return for our last meal in Ortigia. Absolutely phenomenal pasta - the tagliatelle dish was literally a ratatouille come to Jesus moment for me. Lobster pasta was also insanely good. And whatever that dessert was drenched in liquor was TOP! Great service and cute, unpretentious atmosphere. Gracie!

08/02/2026: Brought to this place by my son! Pleasant surprise! Very kind staff, trattoria-like atmosphere... it feels like being at home... good food. Excellent Enrico VIII tortelloni, delicious cannoli! Homemade bread undercooked. Average price.

18/01/2026: A place with a great retro atmosphere (it's been around since 1981), all in wood, with excellent acoustics if it's not too crowded, helpful and friendly staff, and decent pizzas, with highly digestible wholemeal dough.

08/11/2025: I am super dissatisfied. They have a menu on the internet, we choose our food and make a reservation. After which we go to the place and find out that the menu is completely different dishes from one plate. Pretty poor. I do not recommend. We paid for our water and went to another restaurant. This is the first time something like this has happened to me in Sicily.

He accompanied us on this evening, where we traveled from our seats, all while enjoying a Sicilian sparkling wine recommended by Giacomo. After dinner, it was a pleasure to chat with the chef too! 11/03/2026: If you want to visit Sicily and experience local flavors while still in Lombardy, the Osteria is absolutely the place to be! The aromas and flavors, the traditional yet refined atmosphere, and the owners' friendliness and courtesy are the hallmarks of this place. I didn't stay overnight, but the food is excellent.

15/03/2026: An amazing restaurant. We stumbled upon this place by chance and decided to stop for lunch. It was truly a wonderful find. The service was excellent, the staff incredibly friendly and smiling, and the owner was very attentive to everything. I opted for pasta alla norma, which was simply marvelous—fresh, with perfectly balanced flavors. Even if you only ordered a starter, you can see the quality and commitment to offering authentic Sicilian dishes is undeniable. Inside, it's filled with decorations and paintings that showcase Sicilian tradition. A truly wonderful place—clean and well-organized. I highly recommend it to anyone in Rome who wants a Sicilian lunch or dinner. We will definitely be back.

15/03/2026: We discovered this restaurant while out for a run in Rome. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Everywhere we looked, we could see decorations that transported us to Sicily. The colors of the dining room evoked the warmth of the south, and the dishes were incredible (I ordered pasta alla norma), which was certainly one of the best I've ever tasted. The staff was always very friendly and smiling, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. Besides the excellent food, the service is definitely a highlight of this place. If you're in Rome and want a taste of Sicily, you absolutely must eat here.

04/03/2026: Very nice place, very friendly service, and excellent food... both the ragù pasta dish and the one with turnip tops and ricotta, both really good. All at a fair price. Also great for those with gluten intolerances; a friend at my table had a great time. We'll definitely be back.
