14/09/2025: Everything was good, the service was fast, the location was very nice, authentic, they didn't rip you off, and the food was good. Not the easiest to get to if you don't know Macchia.

12/09/2025: The panoramic view of the Ionian coast, the terrace for summer evenings with live music, and the spacious interior make this place ideal for friends and family. The restaurant is ideal for events or simply for an evening with friends. My group and I, when we're looking for a cool evening and great food, this is the first place we think of. Dario, his wife, and all the staff make you feel at ease. See you next time!!

07/01/2026: We visited Fratelli Burgo with our toddler. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and the ingredients were of excellent quality. The service was very warm and efficient. We also bought some delicacies to take home from the adjoining shop.

05/01/2026: It's always a pleasure to return to Le Vin de l'Assasin. The quality of the food is consistently exceptional, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and each dish (each one better than the last) is carefully prepared under the supervision of Saro and Salvo, who will welcome you into a welcoming and elegant setting and offer expert advice on the best dishes and wines. The desserts are also delicious. A must-try is the homemade triple chocolate and pistachio cake—a true delight! The service and value for money are excellent. Highly recommended!

07/01/2026: This elegant and refined restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, expertly recommended by the staff and expertly prepared by the in-house chef. The freshest seafood dishes are excellent, both for first and second courses. Worthy of note are the excellent pasta with sardines, richly seasoned, as well as the "scialatielli nel mare," a delicious mix of seafood, swordfish, and shrimp. The fried calamari, a delicious dish characterized by its crispy, dry frying, is also a particular favorite. Those not particularly interested in seafood should definitely try the ravioli caprese with ricotta and Siccagno tomato sauce. Last but not least, the dessert, including the pistachio and black cherry semifreddo, stands out. In my opinion, a well-deserved 5 stars for this gastronomic excellence.

12/01/2026: As a Syracusan, I can say that Don Camillo is an absolute must-try and one of the city's finest restaurants, a truly excellent, almost Michelin-starred, gastronomic experience. The cuisine is a tale of the sea and the land. During our lunch (for my birthday), I tasted several iconic dishes, but a special mention goes to the pasta with sea urchins, a dish of great purity, perfectly flavorful, and captivating, capturing the essence of Sicily and the Mediterranean. Each course is thoughtful, precise, and never overdone, using excellent ingredients and impeccable cooking. The wine list is extraordinary, extensive, and top-notch, with great Italian and international labels, important vintages, and truly impeccable pairings. Here, wine is an integral part of the experience. Professional, elegant, and attentive service, a refined yet welcoming atmosphere in the heart of Ortigia. Don Camillo is an essential stop in Syracuse for those who love great cuisine and great wine.

24/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant in the center of Ortigia. The experience was perfect, both in terms of service and food (excellent). The ambiance is very refined and meticulously curated, with the wine display being particularly beautiful. The service was impeccable, and the waiters were extremely kind and attentive to every detail, explaining the entire menu to us. As for the food, it was excellent and in keeping with the rest of the restaurant. Each dish was carefully crafted, prepared with quality ingredients, and each pairing was incredible and never boring. Both the meat and fish menus are excellent. I highly recommend trying this place!

05/01/2026: A very warm welcome and excellent food! You can choose from a wide range of Piedmontese and Sicilian specialties (there's a tasting menu for each region), or simply enjoy a pizza. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and one waiter even speaks French to explain the ingredients of each dish. The only downside is the music, which doesn't quite match the rest of the establishment (it's not about playing classical music, but some better quality pop music would be much appreciated!).

15/12/2025: I tried a lot of restaurants in Sicili with my girlfriend. This is by far the absolute best without a doubt. I cannot fathom how anyone would rate them less than five stars. You would have to be born without a tongue to rate them less than five stars. Best pasta I ever ate. Period. The service was absolutely amazing. They brought everything we needed, the second we needed. The antipasti was served immediately. The prices were completely acceptable, much cheaper than many other restaurants that do not even compare in the same league as them. Can't go wrong with this restaurant. If you are in Sicilia, go here. You will not regret it!

18/01/2026: As an Australian who has recently relocated to the area, finding Trattoria Don Ciccio has been a real gift. I’ve eaten here regularly, and every single visit delivers the same result: a perfect meal and genuinely warm, attentive service. The menu is simple, but that’s exactly where the magic lies — everything is done exceptionally well, with a level of consistency that’s honestly rare. The involtini are without doubt the best in the Palermo area — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and exactly how they should be. My advice: stick with the traditional Sicilian house wine. It pairs beautifully with the food and completes the experience. And the tiramisu? Absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve ever had and the perfect way to end the meal. Food and service: 100 out of 10. A true local gem that never disappoints.

02/02/2026: I was a little skeptical, given the advertising and the location. I ordered three arancini to go, with pork ribs, ragù, broccoli rabe, and sausage. The one with ribs was incredible! Ten stars! The arancini were hot, crispy on the outside, and perfect on the inside, and I'm sorry for everyone, but it was the best arancini I've had in Palermo! Top
