12/05/2026: I live here so this si not a tourist review, a group of us friends arranged a luncheon when they are normally closed . From the outside it is just a door on the street with a staircase that leads you to a beautiful dining room with original vaulted ceilings and a view over Porto Grande . We were greeted by the owner and he was both friendly and attentive throughout our meal . The menu is an unusual mix of both local Italian cuisine and Japanese cuisine. It’s easy to find Italian food here but it’s nice to have a change and have some Japanese food for a change. I found it both fresh and well prepared. The food was enjoyed by all with no negative feedback from any of our group of 12 .

11/05/2026: Very nice restaurant. In super touristy Ortigia this is probably one of the most authentic places, where there is still focus on quality. The chef is Japanese after all. The miso soup was exceptional. The raw seafood was good but lacked some refined touch. The more Italian dishes were tasty and well prepared but not exceptional. The service was correct and friendly, but very old school, meaning it was let's get to business and not so warm. All in all a good experience and we would come again when in Ortigia, where most restaurants are a bit disappointing and lack authenticity. A good choice for a reasonalble price.

A seductive menu stimulates the tastes of Sicilian tradition, with a semi-gourmet twist. The warm, crumbly breads are excellent, the result of meticulous research into the evolution of native flours. 13/06/2026: My partner and I went there to eat one evening. The area is really nice and quiet (center of Acireale). The waiter who served us was really kind and helpful. We had an appetizer for two and two first courses, and we were really happy.

31/05/2026: The food was amazing! The menu is only a few pages long, which is always a good sign: it means whatever they cook, they do it well. We've had the things on the menu that we can not find elsewhere: donkey steak and tripe stew. They definitely did not disappoint! We are actually considering learning how to cook the tripe stew at home as well :D

02/06/2026: Let me start by saying that I was born into a completely Sicilian family, so I'm picky when I go to eat at places that offer this type of cuisine. We went to this place last night, EVERYTHING was PERFECT. Welcoming and friendly. The menu was amazing and the prices were super fair. The food was excellent, what can I say, it made me cry! It's become one of my favorite places in Rome.

16/05/2026: Good service. However, 35€ for a small platter of bad (didn't taste fresh) fried seafood is not acceptable. Same goes with the pasta plate we had, it came very quickly and didn't taste fresh. Very touristic and overpriced experience unfortunately.
