29/05/2025: Pleasant welcome and environment. Excellent fish dishes both paccheri and spaghetti with clams and fried food. And finally the cassata. Compliments indeed

14/04/2025: Excellent Sicilian restaurant. Period. Food was perfect , quality , preparation and presentation (not excessive, not banal, elegant). Atmosphere is elegantly relaxed with Sicilian accents. Pasta alle Sarde (great Sicilian classic) was to die for , best I had actually. Tuna tartare served on orange crescent with touches of a delicious orange redcuction, was …gorgeous. Excellent Sicilian wine list …try the Sul Vulcano white. Cannolo at the end was perfect again, great silky smooth ricotta , great cannolo (all fresh from Sicily). They have home made cassta , did not try it…next time . Service again in line with everything here, attentive , fast but not rushed , and not intrusive. At the moment probably my favourite place in Milan. Ah yes price : for the quality is a steal, and for Milan price standard nowadays even more so.

25/04/2025: I had very high expectations regarding this starred restaurant which were absolutely not confirmed! Each dish told as if it were an automatism, all very mechanical. No dish has truly stimulated all my senses and enhanced my taste! Many dishes were tasteless and the combinations did not enhance the alchemy of the foods. The telephone booking was a disaster!! I had asked for three white roses on the table in a vase and a candle because I love creating a romantic atmosphere at dinner and the operator on the phone, a certain Riccardo, was not able to satisfy this nice gesture of mine in the slightest! He only managed to find me a bouquet of red roses and throw them on the table because, as you said, there were no white roses in Ragusa! Which I then tried to find! In fact, he was very annoyed and asked me several times if I really wanted to go and have dinner, because for him everything was a joke on my part based on what he very politely let me understand! I paid and even left a tip without asking for explanations! I would have even paid double if, according to him, I would have had fun!

01/04/2025: A highlight of our 2-week trip to Sicily, service was impeccable and lots of nice small surprises from the chef. I liked the uni truffle pasta in a cream sauce very much, and my partner had a fish pasta that I liked even more (lighter). The waiter was happy to provide recs of his favorite dishes as the English menu isn’t very descriptive. I felt the proteins were on the heavier (fattier) side for my personal taste, and wonder if that’s the style of food in the region. Still, everything was extremely delicious, I was very happy with the complexity and harmony of the flavors. I got the 2-course for dinner and for me that was enough as I’m not able to eat a ton of food. 8-courses was priced 200 euro. I’d like to go back for lunch one day - 75 euro for 3 courses.

08/05/2025: And nothing! There is! The location is nice, open kitchen, the outfit is complete with more cutlery and spare napkins on the table. Palermo menu, of vegetables or meat or fish. All exceptional, the Patron, Giuseppe and the others in the room move between the tables with abundance and great professionalism. Attention to the customer is much above the Palermo average. The wine list is good and the prices of wines and dishes are very honest. See you soon!

15/05/2025: A wonderful discovery during a holiday in Palermo. The environment is very welcoming, with products displayed like in the shops of the past. The staff is cheerful and made us feel at home the whole time. The food is delicious, with innovative combinations, excellent quality, very fresh raw materials and plating that makes you enjoy the view. The fish arancina is a real discovery. The cod meatballs are the best I have ever eaten. Refined wines and spirits. The whiskey they offered us was delicious. The bill is absolutely in line with what is being consumed, in fact, perhaps below average for a restaurant that in my opinion deserves a star. Keep it up. It will be a pleasure to come back and visit you and let ourselves be pampered by your flavours

13/05/2025: The owner/server was excellent. He helped pick out delicious wines and steered us to tasty food selections as well. We had the calamari and tuna tartar for appetizers. Both were very fresh and excellent. We had the spaghetti and ravioli for our meals and again both were fresh and excellent. The spaghetti was the " iconic meal" and it did not disappoint. The canolo capped off the night. Highly recommended!

17/04/2025: This restaurant is a stop whenever you can free yourself from the many weekly work commitments and dedicate yourself to excellent food. I've tried a bit of everything and I have to say that I'm always happy with the quality. They also make gluten-free products, such as pizzas. Truly flawless. Compliments.

08/10/2024: Eravamo gia' stati qui quando il ristorante (allora anche pizzeria, se non sbaglio), aveva un altro nome. La proprieta' è rimasta la stessa, il patron è sempre lui, a prima vista magari burbero, ma quando lo conosci lo apprezzi. Cosi' come la sua cucina, improntata alla tradizione siciliana, dalle portate generose e a prezzi corretti. Pertanto siamo venuti qui a cena piu' di una volta, per gustare eccellente pasta con le sarde e dei paccheri alla norma (ambedue fra i migliori di questa tipologia fra tutti quelli che abbiamo provato in questi anni di Sicilia). Pescato del giorno a prezzo "umano", apprezzato molto anche il polpo e lo spada panato. Se avete spazio (ma non è facile, date le porzioni) preparatevi a una cassata altrettanto generosa.

16/05/2025: Locale storico di Bagheria. Personale alla mano ed estremamente, servizio celerissimo, prezzi onesti, piatti di grande qualità . Siamo stati accolti con un uovo sodo e un bicchierino di zibibbo. Anche i dolci spettacolari. Sicuramente tornerò quando sarò di nuovo nei paraggi!

03/05/2025: Vlakbij het grote theater in een koel zijstraatje zit dit kleine restaurant. We kwamen er bij toeval langs en het menu op het bord zag er aantrekkelijk uit, dus we kregen een tafeltje buiten. Het straatje is vroeg in de avond koel en gezellig, er lopen mensen langs maar geen grote groepen, precies leuk. Wij kozen vooraf een caponata om te delen, en daarna allebei een pasta. De vegetariër was blij met de duidelijke vermeldingen op de menukaart. De caponata was bijzonder gemaakt. We hebben hem enkele keren eerder gehad, maar dit was echt de beste. Lekker veel amandelen erin, verse kruiden, een beetje lauwwarm. Vers, warm brood erbij. De pasta’s waren allebei ook heel erg goed gemaakt. Zowel de smaak als de textuur: uitstekend. Heel lekker. Geen dikke sauzen, bergen tomaten of plenzen olijfolie, alles subtiel, vers, mooie gekruid en zeer smaakrijk. Duidelijk vers bereid door een goede kok of kokkin. Als wijn namen we de Nero d’avola, een rijke donkere Siciliaanse wijn. Aan tafel werd de fles ontkurkt en er werd een groot glas ingeschonken. Fles koel water erbij, perfect. We hadden geen ruimte voor een dessert, maar de espresso was ook weer prima. Vijf sterren voor Da Bacco voor een bijzonder goede maaltijd op een leuke plek!

16/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant with local dishes and a lot of vegetarian and pescatarian options. Found it just by walking by and did surprise us for the quality of the food and variety of vegetable plates offered. The place is quiet and relaxing, and the staff is super nice. I personally tried the caponata which was one of the best ones I tried in Sicily and the Alici e Mollica, which was delicious. The vegetable plate that my companions ordered was magnificent (check the photos) with so much variety. I highly recommend trying this place.
