Randazzo is well known for its excellent food and drink, and San Giorgio e il Drago is a good example of that. It clearly prides itself on producing traditional dishes using fresh local ingredients. For example, we ate an unusual pasta dish that used wild greens foraged from the slopes of Mount Etna. The same greens were used in a very generous dish of local sausages. Excellent cannoli for desert. There was a very comprehensive wine list focussed on Sicilian wines but house wine was good quality and good value. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the setting very pleasant.

As further proof of the quality of Sicilian cuisine, I can add to my modest experience this pleasant restaurant, well-known, and rightfully so, in the local gastronomic scene. The menu offers a few dishes, but they're unique and satisfying (a choice I fully agree with; everything must be made to order). They use Sicilian grains and locally raised meats. The flavor is absolutely delightful. The packed outdoor and indoor spaces attest to this, as do the numerous reviews in specialized publications. The service is prompt and punctual, courtesy of a courteous and proactive staff. Truly excellent! The prices aren't above a perfectly reasonable average either. It's worth a return visit, and for those who haven't tried it yet, it's worth a try.

Had a good meal, beautiful and cozy restaurant with friendly service

Food was amazing, one of the best restaurants we've eaten in Sicily. The products are fresh and it tastes like home cooked food. The service and owner is super friendly. Parking possible on streets. Location is beautiful as well.

May 1st for 6 people. What can I say? The menu was limited but decidedly satisfying. Everything was delicious and authentic, from appetizers to dessert, including wine. It was a huge mistake to bring bottles of liqueurs and digestifs to the table with wild people like us, but it was very welcome. Excellent service, always present, friendly, and available for extra requests. Everything was clean, especially the bathrooms. The kitchen was open to the public... something I love. We paid €90 per couple, which, obviously, was a fair price for the quality and quantity. Excellent place for a day trip, I will definitely be back. Thanks to the wonderful restaurateur who showed me the beauty of the property and the exterior. A 10+ day in Randazzo.
