25/11/2024: This is a magnificent restaurant. Everything is perfect and the seafood is extremely fresh and tasty. The service is excellent and the ambiance is cute. The staff is very friendly and nice. It was a perfect way to end our stay at San Vito lo capo

14/11/2024: We discovered the Lo Stagnone restaurant, admirably managed by Mr Andrea and his family, in 2003 and since then every time we return to San Vito Lo Capo we cannot help but savor his dishes again, all combined with friendliness and courtesy that will make you feel at home. In August this year we returned again. The completely renovated restaurant, where you can see the refinement of the details, the open kitchen, where Andrea's young son skilfully creates his dishes, always demonstrate great passion in carrying on the business. Thanks to the Figuccia family and in particular to Mr. Andrea, see you next time!

14/11/2024: The restaurant is very nice. We were on a Monday and unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the specialties, but we got a short menu with 5 dishes. Each portion was very small, cold portions and not particularly tasty. An account scribbled on a piece of paper and without logic.

09/02/2025: One of the best culinary experiences of recent years. The mix between a family atmosphere, the sweetness of the glimpse of the Sicilian sea and the goodness of the food are responsible for this. The freshness and goodness of the food were much appreciated, the "house" wine with golden reflections and very balanced was a nice surprise. Finally, although the restaurant is located in the heart of Ortigia, the prices are really honest. Recommended for those who want to eat well and feel good. I hope to return soon.

28/03/2025: I am happy to be able to give a description of this restaurant.... I had never been there, the people of Catania recommended it to me, as soon as I arrived, I asked where I could eat some fresh fish. Wonderful place, with a view of the Ursino Castle. Kind, fast staff. The fish dishes are exceptional both for how they are cooked, the raw fish is amazing. . I will definitely return, in fact I would like to be there already. The price is adequate for the quality. We sat outside and it is enchanting, near the orange trees in bloom. Thank you so much.

08/03/2025: We had 2 plates of raviolini with truffles, as well as 1 plate of bacon-wrapped pork fillet with a mustard sauce, 2 wine glasses and a bottle of mineral water, all together cost 110 euros, which wasn't quite right for us in terms of price-performance ratio. The raviolini were tasty, especially the truffle, but the plate was too bland and not creamy enough for me (I needed more sauce). The second plate tasted very good and was spicy, but we were missing a vegetable component. The plates came too quickly, so after about an hour we had already eaten everything, bread, then primo piatto (pasta) and then secondo piatto (meat). However, the ambience is very nice and inviting! All in all, we expected more and were a little disappointed in the end.

13/03/2025: Sadly, The food was tasteless and to be honest they offer very small portions. If you wanna lose some weight and money, that’s the place you wanna be. Your belly and wallet will feel very empty after you leave this place. I really wonder how this place received so many high points though. Such a big disappointment. Most of the people who come to this restaurant coming only for taking pictures for social media. one American couple took 100 pictures in only 5 minutes. Someone should give them an award for that. The staff were really good at their job and friendly. I can’t say anything bad about them. But unfortunately I wouldn’t go back.

27/10/2024: The restaurant is no longer called that, but a fish tavern, I think it has just changed management, we had dinner, nothing to say: excellent food for what it offers, well-finished presentation, little choice, 1 starter, 4 first courses and 4 second courses. Nothing Sicilian, the girls in the room were poorly trained but absolutely kind

22/10/2024: I was visiting some friends, they brought me here , to try a new place, they just changed the owner, and we were really curious to try it out .. ( the place now is called " L OSTERIA DEL PESCE " ) Well let me tell you , was the PERFECT night ... from the atmosphere , the food to the service .. I believe I never had such a good fish dishes in a very long time , everything taste sooo fresh , you could taste every ingredients in the dish. Let me explain how was our night , as soon as we arrived we had a classic Italian aperitivo with an amazing prosecco , then we switched to a great white wine .. paring perfectly with the fish dishes we ordered we had great apetaizer sharing family style , then each of us ( 5 italian girls and me ( italian - Canadian)) ordered a main course , and of course , finishing with amazing desert , coffe and the MASTER PIECE limoncello ! I will attached some pictures, just to make sure you get starving ( LOL ) and you gonna check it out , because it is really worth it ... Price point... amazing! Especially for the quality of the food .... You gonna feel in the Amalfi coast even if you are in the north of Italy. The location is great , is very close to the " downtown Bergamo " , so after an amazing dinner , you can explore this amazing Town , while you walk , you can find so many bars and places where you can continue your fun night with friends and family , easy to find parking in case you drive . This place is really a Gem ... don't missed out . Trust me , is worth to try .. AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
